Born in Idaho in the hills west of the Grand Teton Mountains, Ruth’s sense of adventure was ignited at an early age and continued to motivate her as she worked as an airplane mechanic in WWII, raised a family in the Willamette Valley of Oregon and traveled America solo in her motorhome after retirement. Ruth lives in Salem, Oregon with her son Bruce, who is her caretaker. Every day finds her at her computer writing stories and poetry about everything. Ruth attends two writing groups weekly. Although she has lost a great deal of her eyesight due to glaucoma and needs a mobility scooter or wheelchair to get around, she still enjoys life and is always eager for a new adventure at the age of 93.
