Project Hail Mary by Andy Weir
"Andy Weir cannot write and I'm tired of people pretending he can.

First, let's talk about characters- well, there is no character here. I only see a vague man-shaped science textbook in an astronaut suit. Wait, let me put my glasses on. OH, I know him" Read more of this review »

“If I hired one of the stock boys to chase me around the store with a licorice whip, I'd be thin by Christmas.”

“Being fat was traumatic, but the food was amazing.”
Jennette Fulda, Half-Assed: A Weight-Loss Memoir

“When people asked you how you were doing, they didn’t really want to know how you were doing. They were saying, “I am a human and you are a human and we are passing in the hallway, so I’ll acknowledge your existence and inquire about your mood to avoid awkwardly staring at the walls, but I don’t care how you actually feel.”
Jennette Fulda, Chocolate & Vicodin: My Quest for Relief from the Headache that Wouldn't Go Away

Abbey I'm currently reading "Half-Assed" on my Kindle & just to let you know there's a lack of spacing on "location" (no page#) 1057 of 3306. It says "I managed to sustain my streak through high school, but when I gotaBin my first semester of college..."

At first I was like "what the heck is a gotaBin?!" I had to read it a couple times then it clicked :)
