I was raised on the bleak windswept moors of Devon, and amongst the rain and the cold some of my early memories include watching Excalibur and owning a copy of Jane's Assault Rifles and Light Machine Guns. This may go some way towards explaining the concepts and themes of my stories.

Much of my literary influence comes from the works of James Clavell and Anne McCaffrey. It is their worlds that have influenced much of my character-centric storytelling, where the characters occupy that special niche of being both real and so extraordinary that they bring to life the worlds they live in.
