Eva’s Byte #364 – In the Right Place at the Right Time

Far better than being in the wrong place at the wrong time, isn’t it?

The other day, I was cruising down the store aisle where supplemental nutrition drinks are located. Part of my mother’s daily regimen, the cost of six 8 fl. oz cans, is pricey. Considering all of her other weekly needs not supplied by an assisted living facility, things add up.

I didn’t pay much attention to the woman diagonally opposite from me sorting through her coupons. When I’d put what I wanted into the shopping cart, she offered me a $3.00-off coupon for the six-pack supplement, and gave me a few more.

I view her gesture as one of those random acts of kindness from a stranger. No act of kindness is too small for going the distance against the backdrop of random acts of violence we bear witness to on the news.

On the home front, in my capacity of a writer, I’m wending my way through chapter 11 of my Contemporary work in progress (809 words).I view the process of writing as offering respite from the world at large—even though my characters find themselves at the wrong place at the wrong time.

*May each of our journeys venture along paths out of harm’s way.

My sincere appreciation if you’ve read this far.

Pamela Allegretto What a lovely gesture. Just when we start losing faith in our fellow humans, someone proves that kindness is still alive and well.

It's like a "tree growing in Brooklyn".

May you have a pleasant and productive week.
