I'm excited to be getting ready to release two Urban Fantasy novellas in my Dark vs Light series from GothicScapes. YAY! The first is "Trapped in Stone" - release date September 1, 2013.

It was such a neat trip getting to this story.

Inspiration came when I attended a niece's wedding in France and climbed to the very top of Notre Dame cathedral in Paris to the Gallery of Chimeras. Whoa. Spooky. Gargoyles up close are really scary, and that cathedral has hundreds of them on the galleries and the roof.

So.... says the paranormal author in me... what if one of those chimeras was really a man trapped in stone form, cursed and unable to get out - except for one night per year, when he's freed to try to find a replacement for himself in stone?

And how about if there's a woman who loves him and has vowed to help him change his fate, though she's not actually allowed to interfere?

What if there is a good twist in the story that makes everything turn inside out?

And the cover art is soooooo neat! Gargoyles and back wings and.... that big old moon that will be on every GothicScapes book in the future.
