The Heir, Events, and The Siren!

Hello Selectioners! I have three things I need to update you on, so go get some hot chocolate and snuggle up for a bit… okay, ready?

First, this is news that you should know by now, but in case you’ve missed it, we finally know if Maxon and America are having a boy or a girl. Turns out… it’s both! Yes, we have Schreave twins coming! And as far as who will be born first, it’s our baby girl. What does that mean? How will her/their future unfold? Well, that’s all to come. For now, hope you’re excited to know about the babies, and, of course, stay tuned for more Heir related news coming soon!

Second, the year is starting to wind down, and I have a handful of final events on the horizon. First, I have a visit to Costco in Winston-Salem, NC this weekend. It’s a bit of an interesting situation, so click here for info you might need if you’re coming. I’ll also be heading to the Netherlands as well as YallFest in November. Once I have my final schedule for these trips, I’ll post them on my Events page.

And, finally, some news I’ve been DYING to share! If you’ve recently tried to get a copy of The Siren, you might have noticed it’s kind of impossible. And that’s because IT’S BEING RE-RELEASED THROUGH HARPERTEEN! What does this mean, exactly? Well, first, it means you can't get a copy right now. But mostly it means I get to go back through with my editor and make it the story I always hoped it could be. It will sparkle in ways I couldn’t make it on my own, and that makes me crazy happy! It will also be released in hardback with a new cover and some bonus material for the fancy new bind up! We don’t have a solid release date yet, but it’s tentatively Winter 2016. So early 2016ish. I can’t tell you how happy this makes me. I’m still in love with Kahlen, Akinli, and even the Ocean herself, so I’m thrilled that it will be more polished and available in stores in just about a year.

So, that’s everything I can share for now! Which is a shame because there are even more awesome things happening behind the scenes that I can’t wait to tell you about. Hopefully soon! Later, nerds!

Jenelle Rawlins Please put a spoiler alert in your blog post. :( I just clicked over to your author page because I just finished The Selection for the first time and wanted to see the other books in the series. Here I am wondering if America will end up with Aspen or Maxon and I accidentally read "we finally know if Maxon and America are having a boy or a girl." Ugh. :(

Sophie I really want to read The Siren, but I wait. I just told my friend about Maxon and America having twins, and we were both jumping up and down, I was crying happy tears. Thank you for writing more books, and I'm so excited for twins. I hope you can come to Washington next year. THANK YOU SO MUCH!

Aww, I know it sucks to know a spoiler! But keep reading the series even though you already know who America will end up with!

Yep, that moment when we know they're gonna get twins.. :')

message 5: by Tamikia (new)

Tamikia Pretty neat that they are having twins!! I thought it would be a boy since the name of it was "The Heir" but I can't wait until the book comes out though!! I'm also looking forward to the Marlee book, I was one of the people who really wanted to know more about her!

It's impossible not to know the ending when the next books in the series are The Elite and The One, and America is on the cover of both. It's still a good read knowing how it'll end up.

message 11: by Merel (new)

Merel I got so sad when I finished The One, because I thought everything was over and I actually can't start a new book because of it.
I cried an awful lot at the end, and now I'm reading about The Heir and oh my god, twins. I'm so, so happy. Please come to The Netherlands, even if it is just for me. :)
