Eve Langlais writes dangerously sexy and witty novellas. She has become one of my favorite novella authors. Why? Because her writing is brilliant. When you can take two people and throw them together and make it a sexy, fun and fulfilled read in a short amount of time that’s amazing. I never liked novellas before, but with the right author you can have a short read and still feel like you didn’t miss a thing. A couple of more things I love about Eve, She loves writing most of her heroines on the plump size, oh yea, that’s right up my big butt ally LOL. Then there’s the way Eve always come up with these witty saying like this one. “I need a fan or, even better, a really cold ice pack for my crotch.” Oh ya, Eve can come up with all kinds of fun ways to make your reading fun and sexy.
Now, as for The Last Minion Standing it’s extremely hot, witty and fun. I loved the hero Drake he will stop at nothing to make Sally his mate, then again most of us has a thing for the alpha heroes ;) Sally is a bounty hunter for Hell and she always gets her bounty until Drake steps in and steals her bounty. The think is he just may steal Sally’s heart along with it right after he takes on the competition of The Last Minion Standing.
The sex is extremely hot! You get one scene with some very hot phone sex. Then be prepared for flogging, spanking and some rebelling from Sally just so she can have more sex fun LOL. I highly recommend this to any erotic paranormal reader that wants a fun read.

Heh. Eve Langlais's Hell is a sassy, dangerous, knock-down circus of a place. The ladies are just as bloodthirsty as the men and you never know what's hiding under someone's skin.
Sometimes literally.
Our heroine on this adventure is Sally. She's feisty. She's also a kickass bounty hunter who tangles with Drake in the most delicious of ways. Actually, it was more like a bounty hijacking, but Sally WISHED it was in a more delicious way. Then things get really interesting.
You know, with reality shows and battles to the death and all that.
As always, I enjoy the sass and bloodshed and the utterly unapologetic attitude both our main characters have. They are who they are and they're willing to go after what they want. No matter what gets in the way.

If you are a fan of erotic romance books filled with quirky characters and a quick fun plot, then you are going to enjoy Last Minion Standing. And just a heads up, Eve Langlais does not skim the erotica border here. This is a full-out, hot and steamy title!
Sally is a half-demon who hunts those who have escaped Hell. She has a natural knack for it and loves what she does. She is a funny gal who speaks her mind and goes after things full-on. She feels she needs a side-kick, or as she prefers to call it a minion, to assist her in her duties. When she mentions the idea to her BFF, her friend quickly takes off with the idea and posts it on Hellbook (Hell’s Facebook). Before she knows it, Sally finds herself in the middle of filming a new reality TV show for Hell’s television network where the ‘people’ get to decide who will be her minion.
Drake is a shifter who happens to look extremely yummy without a shirt on. One night, as Sally is going about her business, Drake jumps in and catches the guy Sally is hunting – right in front of her! Sally is well, let’s say she’s a little upset that Drake got her guy. But she can’t stop thinking about him. As for Drake, the feelings are mutual. He can’t deny the heat between he and Sally. In fact, he realises that Sally is destined to be his mate. And when he finds out about her minion search, he really does not like the idea of any other many working that closely to Sally. So he does what he must: He enters the contest to become Sally’s side-kick.
I found the overall feel for this book to be amusing. The teases and takes on Earth’s quirks (such as Hellbook) were well done. They kept me giggling throughout the whole book. The characters are as silly as they are yummy, which again kept the book light and fun. Sally and Drake’s stubborn nature makes them interesting to watch. And it’s just as interesting watching their walls slowly crumble and to see them realize that what they have is pretty cool (or hot, as this case may be). The loving is plentiful and really really steamy. I mean Eve can write some smokin’ scenes!
I didn’t find there to be much depth to these characters, but honestly I wasn’t expecting it. This is a short yummy read that focuses on the heat between the hero and heroine, and does that very well. Overall, I enjoyed this book and its plays on things. A light and fun book that’s perfect for when you are looking for a quick, extra *blush* worthy read.

I have to say that I love the way Eve Langlais thinks, she is quickly becoming a go to author for me when I'm in need of a quick improvement in my mood. She manages to write stories that will make you laugh and squirm at the same time! The snarky comments and humor she puts in her stories is so entertaining!
Last Minion Standing is, as you can probably imagine by the title, a play on a reality TV show! Sally is a bounty hunter for the Hellacious Office of Escapees (HOE). She has decided that as all famous people she should have a minion, wait wasn't that supposed to be a sidekick?, yeah, minion works better for her. Her BFF Jezzie convinces her the best way to find one, and a good super heroine name for herself, is to setup a Hellbook Fan Page and accept applications for a contest. Which they promptly set up.
Her Hellbook page becomes so popular and with so many minion applications that Jezzie gets her a contract with HBC (Hell's Broadcasting Corporation) to make the search for her perfect minion into a reality show!
While all this is happening she meets a guy off the screen. Drake is actually a shifter (I didn't guess what kind so I was pleasantly surprised!) As soon as he meets Sally for the first time he recognizes her as his mate. And when he finds out that her minion search has now turned into a TV show, he can't stand having other males drooling over her, so he makes the decision to compete, and of course WIN.
This book has some hot phone sex,up against the wall in an alley sex, going through portals and tumbling down on the bed sex, and much more! It is extremely funny and to date my favorite Eve Langlais read!

Sally’s Job is sending escaped souls back to hell. Wail Sally was out on a routine assignment, she was interrupted by the handsome Drake and all his half naked hotness. Drake swooped in and took her bounty from her. As much as he pissed her off, he heated her blood twice as much.
Once sally decides she needs a minion and a super hero name, her best friend sets out and gets her on a demon reality show. But to her surprise the sexy drake is contestant. The more she gets to know this infuriating man the more she wants him. Sally finds herself wanting this man like she's never wanted Any man before.
Drake wanted sally since the moment he first seen her. Even more his best wanted her to have her claim her mark her. But he knows someone is out to kill her and he must do anything to keep her safe including joining this game show to be her sidekick and he must win.
I loved it. This story was a quick easy read. One guaranteed to get your blood pumping and cause a little check blushing at times. The scenes are hot and sexy. Drake is a yummy alpha male. Sally is a sexy hot demon. So far I have not been disappointed by one of eve's books. I look forward to reading more in the future.

Evidently, cheesy reality shows are all the rage in Hell as well, and one of the contestants competing for the title of Sally's sidekick/minion, is Drake, the sexy bounty hunter who stole her prey just the other day. Does he have ulterior motives, or does he really want her as his mate...
Mmm, sexy, story and hot as hell. Drake is one possessive dragon, and Sally, daughter of the demon of lust, is his equal, in and out of bed. Enjoyable, fun. Even though the possessive dragon/inner beast story reminds me of both Rhage in BDB and Maddox in LotU.

Reading something by Eve Langlais has quickly become one of my guilty pleasures and without fail, each time I finish reading one of her books I’m left with a huge smile on my face and feeling just a little bit naughty. Eve has an amazing talent of being able to catch the smolder of the irresistible Alpha male, the sassiness of a strong woman, the sizzle that comes when passions ignite and add them to fun and quirky storylines. LAST MINION STANDING is a perfect example of just how fun reading erotica can be and I loved every blush filled moment of it.
Sally, daughter to the Demon of Lust, has a kick ass job – she’s a demon bounty hunter and she is really good at her job. With a feisty attitude and sense of humor, she never fails to bring in her mark. That is until the night a sexy, semi naked man appeared and steals her capture right out from under her. Forget the fact that this man made her mouth water and other places tingle, the mysterious Drake ticks her off and after a hot kiss, disappears and leaves her panting. Meanwhile, after a conversation with her roommate sharing her desire for a minion, Sally finds herself part of a popular reality show called Last Minion Standing. Men from all around compete and fulfill tasks that put them in the running to be her personal sidekick – and there are a lot that would kill for the chance to get up close with the sexy Sally. Of course, Drake is one of the contestants which intrigues her. It doesn’t take Drake long to realize that there’s something special about Sally – other than the way she stirs his body, she stirs his beast and it doesn’t take long before he realizes she’s his mate. Problem is someone hired him to kill her and so he makes it his mission to not only find out who but to win the contest. Passions blaze between the two as the story continues and as things come to a stunning conclusion, Sally finds herself unsure – she’s fallen in love with Drake but will the betrayal she feels from a secret withheld stop her from claiming what her body and heart wants? Will she believe Drake when he declares his heart and soul in front of everyone? And who exactly is trying to kill her? This is definitely a story you’re going to want to read.
When I first started reading and was getting into the flow of the story, I was pretty quick to see that this is definitely a spicy romance. One of the things I love most about Eve is that she really does know how to write amazing characters. Her men are to die for because they are just so intense and so masculine. There is always amazing chemistry and without fail my heart always races when the sexual tension increases. I love how she’s able to describe the physical nature of each scene and this book definitely had me blushing as it combined raw heat and some well written dirty talk. I was a little surprised (don’t ask me why) as I was reading because I was so caught up in the intensity of what was happening between Drake and Sally and the way my heart was racing, that I was stunned when pure emotion hit me out of nowhere like a ton of bricks as Drake confessed his secret to Sally. I felt like I got sucker punched, it was so power and it pushed my constant swoon into hyper drive. It was incredible and I loved that Eve was able to surprise me like that. She had me so consumed with one aspect that I didn’t see the fast approach of another.
Sally and Drake are definitely another great romance couple. Straight away, sparks were flying between the two and I was giddy to see just how they were going to heat things up. Sally was so much fun to read and I couldn’t get enough of her sass and confidence. That’s another great thing about the female characters Eve writes, while they’re far from perfect, they are strong and opinionated. They make great matches for the men of the stories and give the guys a run for their money because they don’t just roll over submissive. Sally could totally take care of herself so she didn’t need a man to “complete” her. I always think this makes for amazing dynamics and I love reading the clash of wills that happen, especially between her and Drake. One thing I can say for Sally is she sure is a lucky woman.
I love that Drake was this commanding presence, so dominant and cocky. It wasn’t hard at all to picture him in all his swagger glory and my mouth watered at the description of him in his low riding jeans and bare chest. I loved that he was a dragon shifter because you don’t see that often and I loved the possessiveness he felt towards Sally but of the way he tried to give her the space to accept him. Full body shivers throughout the book as I read some of the things he would say to her, the way he touched and looked at her and that man sure does have the ability with the seductive talk. I don’t think I’ve ever blushed as hard as I did reading some of the stuff that came out of his mouth. I know I wouldn’t have lasted ten seconds in his presence because he was larger than life.
This was another hit for Eve and another keeper for me. I loved everything about LAST MINION STANDING, especially the storyline which I thought was very funny and inventive. This is definitely a book you’ll sit down and devour in one sitting and will leave you with a bounce in your step. It’s quirky and fast pace and yep – HOT as heck! I’d recommend this to anyone who’s looking for something to put tingles in the soles of their feet and just remember to keep something on hand to cool yourself off with. Happy reading!

I was a little surprised (don’t ask me why) as I was reading because I was so caught up in the intensity of what was happening between Drake and Sally and the way my heart was racing, that I was stunned when pure emotion hit me out of nowhere like a ton of bricks as Drake confessed his secret to Sally. I felt like I got sucker punched, it was so power and it pushed my constant swoon into hyper drive. It was incredible and I loved that Eve was able to surprise me like that. She had me so consumed with one aspect that I didn’t see the fast approach of another.
Sally and Drake are definitely another great romance couple. Straight away, sparks were flying between the two and I was giddy to see just how they were going to heat things up. Sally was so much fun to read and I couldn’t get enough of her sass and confidence. That’s another great thing about the female characters Eve writes, while they’re far from perfect, they are strong and opinionated. They make great matches for the men of the stories and give the guys a run for their money because they don’t just roll over submissive. Sally could totally take care of herself so she didn’t need a man to “complete” her. I always think this makes for amazing dynamics and I love reading the clash of wills that happen, especially between her and Drake. One thing I can say for Sally is she sure is a lucky woman.
I love that Drake was this commanding presence, so dominant and cocky. It wasn’t hard at all to picture him in all his swagger glory and my mouth watered at the description of him in his low riding jeans and bare chest. I loved that he was a dragon shifter because you don’t see that often and I loved the possessiveness he felt towards Sally but of the way he tried to give her the space to accept him. Full body shivers throughout the book as I read some of the things he would say to her, the way he touched and looked at her and that man sure does have the ability with the seductive talk. I don’t think I’ve ever blushed as hard as I did reading some of the stuff that came out of his mouth. I know I wouldn’t have lasted ten seconds in his presence because he was larger than life.
This was another hit for Eve and another keeper for me. I loved everything about LAST MINION STANDING, especially the storyline which I thought was very funny and inventive. This is definitely a book you’ll sit down and devour in one sitting and will leave you with a bounce in your step. It’s quirky and fast pace and yep – HOT as heck! I’d recommend this to anyone who’s looking for something to put tingles in the soles of their feet and just remember to keep something on hand to cool yourself off with. Happy reading!

Another great novella from my favortite author Eve Langlais! Half demon Sally is a bounty hunter for Hades, sending souls back to Hell where they belong. Deciding that she needs a Minion/Sidekick her best friend/roomate sets her up with a contest to find a Minion and a Super-Hero name which turns into a reality show contest. One night on a routine job a shirt and shoeless hunk, Drake, comes along and steals her bounty right from under her. Seeing him not only pisses her off but gets her all hot and bothered!! Drake is a shifter who will do anything to make Sally his mate, including joining the contest to make certain that he not only wins the contest but wins her heart forever! I loved it this story and the switch from 1st person to 3rd person POV! You can never go wrong when choosing one of Eve's awesome stories!!

Warning: Last Minion Standing is one hot tale meant to set your unmentionables on fire. Drake and Sally together are a fire waiting to happen and it explodes all over the pages. The witty writing voice of Ms. Lanlais adds more kindling to a fire already blazing out of control. I dare you to pick this little number up and spend some time hotter than hell.

Wowser!! Once I started I couldn't put it down. This has everything I want in a paranormal romance.
I just loved Sally. She was strong and funny and just plain stubborn! Drake was sexy and protective and well just plain stubborn too.
Both are thrown together and then the fire ignites! This book will leave you squirming. I read it all in one sitting and loved every second of it. You get witty and fun dialogue and some sexy scenes that leave you breathless. A great combination!
This is my 2nd book I have read from Eve and I am dying to read more!

This book is funny and steamy. All Sally said was she wanted a minion and now she finds herself with a reality show. Sally has a job in hell, she is a bounty hunter for souls who escape hell. While working a case she meets Drake. He is actually there to do the same thing she is. She is pissed that this guy is stealing her case but super turned on by how sexy Drake is. Turns out Drake is one of the contestants on her reality show. More is going on than meets the eye and things are about to get real interesting. I couldn’t stop laughing while reading this book. The book also has lots of steamy parts, a bit of danger, and some fighting as well. I have read a few of Eve’s other books and always love them. I look forward to reading more books by Eve in the future.

This was a funny concept. I laughed a lot but there were a few times, through this entire series really, I wish the writing wasn't so juvenile. it's casual and crass. I wish there was a little more character substance then just all these hot ass, evil men and women who interact like, you hot woman, me hot man. let's talk about how hot we are and then fuck. then fight over silly things. But you make me so horny so we're going to be two hot people who have hot angry sex. in a day or two we'll confess our hot love for each other even though there has been no character development for us. But who needs that, we're hot.

Awesome! A bored bounty hunting demon (sentenced to earth for her numerous pranks) wants a new name and a minion to do her menial chores. Result a reality show. Okay it is only on the Hell network but who cares. However there are a couple of wrinkles in this. One is that someone is out to kill her and two is a alpha dragonshifter that leaves her all hot and bothered. Will she find out who wants her demise? Will she get to the person that wants her dead? Great lively banter and a fast paced plot.

This is too cute. Hell's own reality TV show to select a superheroine name and a sidekick (minion). Our heroine wants the fame and fortune a badass bounty hunter gets but unbeknownst to her, someone wants her dead. Our hero is hired to discredit or kill her but upon meeting discovers she's his mate. So he decides to enter the contest to win her and discover who's out to kill her.

Sexy, sassy, and fun. I loved the reality tv concept in this book.
The characters, Drake and Sally, complimented each other perfectly...both naughty, stubborn, and defiant but, with just enough give to make it work.
The narrators were pretty perfect although, I would have liked to see them work together instead of each with their separate parts.

A raunchy read. Sally is in need of a heroine name and a minion. Her friend Jezzie starts a social media campaign which turns into a television show. A nemesis and some hot love make for a wiity, clever read.
