I really wanted to love these books, but I was so annoyed with the grammar mistakes, the inconsistencies between books (hell, between pages), and lack of continuity. I'm hoping that most were a result of being ebooks, but if the paperbacks are just as bad, then shame on her editors. I mean, book #1 Dr. Crandall's daugheter is Yasmine, but she's a completely different person in book #2, and then Dr. Crandall's daughter's name ends up being Ellie. Seriously?! And Clint Wilde becomes Jed Wilde...I was so confused...
These tend to make me feel like I’ve been taken on a really good journey through some great place and then just dumped and told to find my way back. Ellie came home to work with her father but her childhood flame Shilah quickly brings up all the good reasons she prolonged her return. Of course the two do the back and forth with a grand breakup for them both to realize they’d been played. We get this great action scene a recap of what really happened and boom, its over. The end, no follow ups, just happy tears and it’s done.
The third adopted Wild son, thinks he isn't up to Wild standards be a Native American Indian. When Ellie returns to Wyoming Shilah learns he is a Wild of Wyoming in more ways than one.
As I told you there are three brothers, African-American, White and Native American, this one is about the Native American Shilah Wilde. These brothers were adopted from an orphanage and raised on a huge ranch. After their father's death, the three brother continue to horse-breed and successfully make the ranch one of the largest in the world. Shilah met Ellie as a child when she had an accident (notice how there's always some "accident" that these lucky women meet the men of their dreams!), and his was the first eyes she saw when she woke up. He didn't say anything then, he was only a child, but years later when he saw her again, he was still in love with her even more. Yeah, Yeah, I know, but its kinda of corney and cute.
They play the "back and forth" and "forth and back" romance game until they realize they are truly in love. There is a dark side and it's the "bad" guys trying to take over the ranch with Ellie's help as a USDA agent, she is not aware of their plot. The book has a pretty good writing style and she actually adds a little twist with a "killer" on the lose. It's all good and sweet and for $3.99, if you are traveling on a plane, train, or the slow Greyhound bus, perish the thought will yah! a bus ride!, you will enjoy it. Like I said before, Mrs. Terry's sexually scenes should not be read in bed or around a man unless he is your husband or boyfriend. You will get some ideas so he better watch out.
The one thing I can say about the Wilde brothers is these are a sorry trio of males when it comes to relationships. And in book two of this series, Jasmine was the name of Dr. Crandell's daughter. Now she is named Ellie. Oopsie! I also have to admit there is one good thing about Shilah-- he actually took Ellie out on a date. At least he got the "How To Date Women For Dummies" book and didn't put it in the sock drawer next to that neverending supply of condoms like his brothers did. Also, the man on the cover hardly looks like an American Indian. Pity. Some are really gorgeous.
In this 3rd book I loved the storyline. I loved the hot & steamy scenes. I loved Ellie's character. I also loved Ellie's strength & toughness. I loved Shilah's character. I think Shilah's sounds very hot & sexy. Shilah is my favorite out of all the brothers. I loved the ending too. Out of the books I read in this series this one is my favorite.
To Desire a Wilde was a good book. The story line of someone trying to destroy the Wilde ranch and an old romance coming to life was great.. The mystery and suspense added to it with the great romance scenes...
