Not sure if this is an episode retelling or a new story, but this is a fun story with some quick lessons to it. The writing is engaging, and the art matches the show well. I did like there was a chance for each character to overcome their flaws rather than it just being one of them. The ending was sweet as well.

My only complaint is a page near the end. It's not a double-spread (not if you look at the background), yet Cassie, Zak, and Wheezie all have their eyes towards Ord on the opposite page. Yet, there's an Ord look-alike on the other side of the finish line next to the crowd. Is that supposed to be Ord? Is it a random dragon? All they would have had to do is make it a double-spread and change the color of the background dragon. Then there would be no conclusion.

Other than that, I have no complaints about the book. Aside from Ord, the characters overcome their problems very quick, but that's expected in a fast-paced picture book. The story is still fun.

We haven't read any from this series before but this was a fun read. It is the tale of four dragons going to school and being assigned to represent the school in a team sport. They have a difficult practice run but encourage each other and then comes the race. They are doing well until the last dragon just cannot climb up the wall. With his teammates cheering him on, he keeps going and makes it then races to the finish line. They are in last place but feel like winners because they worked together as a team. Fun and a good lesson. Not really for early readers.
