Freakn' Shifters #1

Delicate Freakn' Flower

Rate this book
Dammit, just how many toes was she going to have to stomp on before people realized she was a Delicate Freakn’ Flower?

Naomi doesn't want to follow tradition and settle down with a violence-loving, chest-thumping shapeshifter. She grew up in a household with five testosterone-laden brothers, where none of the dishes ever matched, the ugly-as-sin furniture could withstand any catastrophe, and where Krazy Glue was bought by the case.

When fate--with a snicker--makes her meet not one, but two mates, Naomi digs her heels in and refuses to do what her wolf--and her body--demands. No way is she voluntarily allowing herself to get hitched to a pair of dumbass--totally hot and muscled--lacrosse players.

Can Ethan, the towering Kodiak bear, and Javier, the sexy, tanned jaguar, convince this she-wolf that life with them won’t be all chaos? And can this delicate freakn’ flower unbend her prejudices enough to recognize she needs a pair of men who can handle her thorns--and her passion?

Warning: this is a hot threesome story where all the focus is on her, with pleasurable consequences.

Is the spelling of Freakn' an American thing? Did everyone just wake up one morning and decide that they'd forgotten how contractions worked? Legit question. Is this some localized version of it as opposed to Freakin'?

My partner actually really liked this book. I must admit there was a lot less to complain about than I thought there would be. The main character was all aggression and sass. Instead of treating her bitchiness as a problem to be cured, people in the book embraced it and saw it as a positive. I really liked that.

This book is very badly edited though with many, many typos to be found. Added to that the occasionally distressing choice of description. "I want your prick!" made me shudder. People's orbs were piercing. I'm not going to even examine the use of cleft.

I would feel like a hypocrite complaining about the insanely simplistic plot cause, you know, nobody reads these things for the plot. Except me. I think there's something wrong with me.

This is a nice, brain-dead read if you're inclined that way.

HA!! Funny smut!
Hey, don't judge me. I read all kinds of stuff. I'm an equal opportunity reader. As for, you know, talking to other people.... well....

So, a little shifter smut was a fun diversion. And, a menage shifter-romance? It was like two times the fun!

Sexually Oblivious Rhino is right. I would prefer Creme Brulee to two men also. Although I should get TWO Creme Brulee's to make it more fair. It's a good trade-off.

In this story, we have Naomi, a wolf-shifter, who finds her mateS in Ethan, a Kodiac bear-shifter, and Javier, a jaguar-shifter. Now, don't think too hard about what the hell their kids will look like. It ain't pretty.

"Don't talk about our son like that! He's just going through a phase."

Naomi was raised with a boatload of brothers who basically ruined everything. Think puppies on crack. Considering that I have been raising boys and dogs for years, I can understand her desire to want something in her world to be unbroken, unborrowed, unruined, unhairy, unchewed, undisappeared, and just fucking clean for once.

So, Naomi has decided that she will reject this whole mate thing and marry a nice safe human and have a clean and quiet life. Lol, Naomi! Are you really that naive? Human males make the messiest of roommates! I KNOW my husband thinks there is a magical sock fairy who picks up his dirty socks off the floor. He thinks he must be the cleaning fairies' favorite person by keeping them employed. He's so delusional that I've convinced him to leave them a "tip" for the holidays. Then, I use the money to buy another voodoo doll of him. Eventually, one will work. Right?

This is literally a photo of us last night.

Of course, it doesn't take Naomi long to realize that she needs her some bear/cat love, because, this is a smut book after all. Can't have smut without a ton of sex starring creepy genitalia adjectives that make you cringe. But, this one has the added bonus of being funny.

Try to be a lady and no one listens. They’ll start paying attention when my foot starts connecting with some soft spots.

See? How can I NOT like this girl?

Absolutely Loved this adorable, funny, hot as sin book!!

Ethan, the adorable were-bear

ethan

Ethan and Javier are shifters and best friends. Their friendship goes back eleven years to when they started playing lacrosse together in college. Now they are highly sought after professional lacrosse players.

Ethan is the quiet, gentle giant, kodiak bear. He does hope to fall in love some day. Unfortunately for Ethan, a lacrosse pass he failed to catch has just knocked a woman in the stands unconscious. Fate has a crazy sense of humor, cause that woman just happens to be his mate.

Javier, Sexy ass were-panther
javier

Javier is the hot as sin, tanned, were-panther. He's a man whore and proud of it. When his good looks and hot bod aren't enough to make the panties drop, he just melts them off with his smooth talking ways. But meeting his mate has left him speechless. And the fact that she doesn't want him is messing with his head…both heads, Lol!!

fight

Naomi grew up in a house with five rowdy brothers. Fights broke out ALL the time.
None of the dishes matched. Furniture was forever getting broken. Nothing was safe from their destruction.

flower

Well Naomi's sick and tired of it. She's a "delicate flower" dammit. And she's had it with the chaos! She has decided to marry a boring human. The nerdier the better. But Fate has a little trick up her sleeve, by giving Naomi not one, but two shifter mates. And they are determined to seduce her into becoming theirs.

menage

What must Ethan and Javier do to win the heart of their stubborn she-wolf? How about romance and seduce her until no woman in her right mind could resist.

description

I loved this story. It was comical, light hearted and fun to read. The main characters were likable and the secondary characters added the perfect touch. I loved Naomi's mom and how she conspired against her hard headed daughter to help her mates woo her. Oh and the story was Freakin Hot!!

This was a freebie and I am so glad that it was, or I might not have ever known how adorably hot this series is. I look forward to many more Eve Langlais books!!

Hmmmm.

This was just okay for me.

(Needed it for a reading challenge.)

At first, some of the humor was working for me, but, soon enough, I could feel my rating slipping as I went. Let me be clear that I don't have a problem with smart, tough heroines who can kick ass, totally own their bitch side, and wield it when necessary. Hell, some of my favorite heroines fit this mold. But they need to have good reasons for their actions and know their own minds.

Which brings us to Naomi. *sigh*

This heroine kept flipping back and forth like a suffocating fish re: what she wanted. She was also extremely judgmental towards men who played rough sports (which immediately put them in the 'stupid jock' category) and towards other women (the flirtatious ones were automatically bimbos and sluts... riiiiight). This, of course, had me giving her the side-eye.

She was also a bit too free with hoofing/hurting these guys where it counts because she didn't like something they said or did (trust me, none of it warranted that kind of retaliation). It was rather hypocritical in light of her going on and on about how she didn't want to have to deal with violent males, while constantly running around losing her temper, and then doling out both verbal and physical abuse.

Image result for angry much gif

I guess that was supposed to be funny, but it's not my cuppa.

As for the whole menage part of the equation, some of the courtship stuff was actually cute and funny. I liked how much Ethan and Javier wanted to love and please their fated mate. I admired their patience with her brand of irrational and all the mixed messages, and how they did everything to woo, respect, protect and show her that she was the one.

But the sex itself?

Meh.

I just didn't find that aspect hot or romantic and found myself tuning out while listening (though the narrator, Tillie Hooper, actually did a good job with this book). And it's not because a well written ménage scene can't be hot and erotic. It totally can. These just weren't. Too much insert Tab A into Slot B, let's make a shifter sandwich, with language and descriptions that just left me wondering when it would be over.

Image result for are you done yet gif

But no judgement here for anyone out there who loved these particular smutty scenes and thought they were smokin'.

As I often say, it's different strokes for different folks.

(And yeah, of course I know exactly how that sounds in this context, but it still applies.)

This Delicate Freakin’ Flower, gets not only one shifter but two and one of them the bear, let me tell you he is packing something huge. LOL. Oh my, this story takes you down Naomi’s path of wanting a non-chaos world. She want to mate with a human, so when she finds her shifter mate by surprise it freaks her out. Then she finds she has not only one but two shifter mates, well needless to say she leads these two hot shape shifters down a wicked path because she wants no part of it. The thing she didn’t bank on is they are not going to give up no matter how delicate she wasn’t to be treated. Don’t let Naomi fool you she’s not as delicate as she says because she can take down the best of them especially when she has a threat against her and it brings her family into the scenario. This is another fun and sexy hot story with some added suspense by Eve, that takes you into a Ménage with anal sex so hot you may have to take a cold shower after reading LOL.

This story is not a novella it’s a full novel, so for those who likes to get a little more into the mind of the characters more here you a book from Eve to try.

I recommend this novel to anyone how loves a fun erotic paranormal romance.

Teaser
“Are you always this irritable?” asked the cat.
Naomi shot him a glare. “Gee, let me see. My friend dragged me to a lacrosse game, which, I might add, is not my idea of a good time in the first place, where some clumsy bear missed a ball causing me to get injured. That same bear and his alley cat then show up and try to claim me as their mate even though I don’t want one. I think I’ve earned the right to be annoyed.”
“I told you we should have brought more flowers,” Ethan grumbled.

I blame this book for my last sleepless night. I had too much fun reading it. Of course, I knew what would happen but I enjoyed seeing how mean Naomi, the main character, could be to practically everyone around her. She was incredibly blunt and at times cruel but it was so hilarious. Naomi is my hero! The entire thing had me snickering and laughing aloud much more than is common for these types of books.

I had been meaning to read something by Langlais for awhile since she kept popping up on my radar and if any of her other books are remotely this fun, then I will be plowing through them in due time. This story is about three different shifters, with the whole menage and mate plot ever so popular these days. And I love the cover and title but is that a dead animal pelt draped across her shoulder? I find that rather strange, considering the shifter bit and everything. :)

Not sure what possessed her, Naomi agrees to go to a lacrosse event with her best friend A wolf shifter, Naomi is used to violence, but she abhors it. Naomi sees herself as a delicate flower, that is why she is determined to marry a human and not mate a shifter.

Bear Shifter Ethan, knows Naomi is his mate on sight. He has been wanting to settle down and he knows the mate bond is rare, but his chosen mate's response is less than encouraging. Deciding to buck up and deal with it head on, he and his best friend jaguar shifter Javier had out to find Naomi.

Javier is laughing his ass off at the predicament Ethan has found himself in, a ladies man Javier can give Ethan a few pointers into smoothing his romantic path with his mate, until he realizes she is his mate too. How can fate have chosen him to have a mate, he has been playing the role of tomcat? Although once Javier gets a sample of her delicious temper, he has no doubt that she is the one. Ethan and Javier come up with a plan to tempt, seduce, and claim their mate.

Another kick myself read. Hilarious, loved all the characters and thought Naomi was an original, she is determined to stick by her guns about being delicate, but on the other hand she has no qualms throwing stuff at Ethan and Javier, taking pot shots when needed, and letting her temper fly when warranted. Can't wait to read the next one.

Holy hotness!! You may want to read this with a fan on you or have your husband close by.lol. As with every book I have read from Eve you get a spunky girl, hot men, fun, adventure and some great ol' sex!!

I really enjoyed this book and not only for the sexy scenes. You get 2 shape-shifters both destined for one feisty wolf. Most wolves would love to find their soulmate but not her. She tries to fight it and the men try to prove that she needs them. We get a lot of built up sexual tension. But the men not giving up make it worth it in the end. Instead of going at it like bunnies when they wanted to they built a great relationship together and fell in love.

I would love to read more with these characters. I found her family so interesting. I loved how her brothers and dad where these big bad wolves until the Mom comes in and lets them know who is boss. Her mom was funny too when she would try to talk about her sex life to her daughter. That made me laugh.

Great book. The story was awesome, the sex was awesome and I had a lot of fun reading it. I recommend it to anyone who wants to read a sexy paranormal romance!! Heavy on the romance!!

Okay short and sweet to start, this was funny/outrageously sensual/quite honestly a very fun reading experience!

When Delicate Freakn' Flower first came to my attention first thought was that I had to get a copy to read for myself! However being that not only have I bought too many real books as well as digital ones in the past few months kept putting off getting it. Then came the blog blitz giveaways hosted by The Bookish Snob Promotions and the giveaway by Tishia at Paranormal Opinion Blog on the 16th came to my attention and so I took a chance and luckily won a copy of my own! (many thanks to Tishia and Eve!)

This was a book that was greatly anticipated and it did not disappoint in the least when I sat down and devoured it on Saturday after the author sent me my copy on July 27th.

Naomi is a wolf shifter whose family consists of hulking brothers and a father who engaged in daily slugfests since she was a little girl, needless to say nothing fragile survived their constant shenanigans. Growing up in the chaos was something that she hated and when grown and living on her own she vowed never to get involved and mate with a shifter herself. Fate has other plans and in an ironic twist Naomi finds herself at of all things a Lacrosse match with her friend Francine and much to her consternation she also finds not one but two shifter mates playing for the home team!

Ethan is a Kodiak bear shifter, a man of few words but strong passions and just about as far from sedate and bland as he can possibly get. Javier is a hot cat shifter. all smooth lines and sexy moves guaranteed to make any woman want a taste. Together they make an awesome sight and soon Naomi finds herself unable to think about anything but the two.

This was the best look at a relationship of three characters that walked a tightrope between what their nature demanded and what was dictated by the demands of one determined young woman. Not only did Naomi get more than she bargained for so did Ethan and Javier, but in the best manner possible!

If you are looking for an erotic paranormal romance that steps outside the box you need look no further, not only did author Eve Langlais imbue this book with heated scenes between Naomi and the guys but also took the time to present us with an in depth look into Naomi's family as well. May I just say that if I had 5 brothers and a father as rowdy as hers my sanity would have fled before I ever grew up! The fact that Naomi was determined to not have her own life lived in turmoil was funny because she herself had a tendency to "act first and think later". This was a wonderful romance, a great look at how much family means and how they all pull together in a crisis and also a story that kept the reader turning the pages and following along to see just how long Naomi would outlast two determined males in their quest for her commitment to them for the long haul.

For anyone looking for a full length erotic paranormal romance I can highly recommend you read a copy of Delicate Freakn' Flower for yourself, and I dare you to pick between Ethan and Javier as that will be the hardest decision you ever had to make!

I read my first book by Langlais, Wickedest Witch, last month and thought it was a pretty decent paranormal erotic romance. So when I had the opportunity to get my hands on another one of her books I was like, hell yeah! Delicate Freakn' Flower follows Naomi, a self-proclaimed delicate flower. Even though she herself is a shifter, she doesn’t want one for a mate. She wants a normal, intelligent and rich pacifist human for a husband. But fate tells her wants to kick rocks when it gives her not one, but TWO shifter mates.

Ethan and Javier were beyond delicious. Best friends since college, they do everything together and they do it so very well, including excelling on their Lacrosse team, the Loup Garou’s. Ethan, described as “almost seven towering feet of muscled male”, *swoons* is so much more than his appearance would lead you to believe. Shy and tongue-tied when it comes to the opposite sex, romance is not in his vocabulary. But if you think he’s a fumbling behemoth of a Bear shifter, think again. I loved how gentle and caring he was with Naomi. The thoughtfulness of the gift he gave her after hearing one of her childhood stories conveyed how determined he was to make their unconventional relationship work.

As for Javier? While I enjoyed this drop-dead gorgeous Jaguar shifter, I wish that there was more time spent fleshing out his personality. The things I knew about Javier after I finished DFF were the same things I knew at the beginning: that he was a ladies man who loved and valued his friendship with Ethan. Oh, and he loves him some oral, both giving and receiving. That’s it.

Then there’s Naomi. I experienced a rollercoaster of emotions with her. She’s bitchy. She’s stubborn. She has a short temper. All things I can tolerate and even enjoy in my heroines. My problem with her was her prejudice against athletes. After spending a childhood watching her 5 older brothers demolish her home because of their violent shifter natures, Naomi wants to settle down with a normal human who waxes poetic and manscapes 10 times a day. That’s all good. You want a pansy for a hubby, that’s on you. What wasn’t all good was her assumption that all male athletes are dumb, uncouth Neanderthals. The main reason she refused to give Ethan and Javier a chance for a big chunk of this book was her stubborn belief that two Lacrosse players couldn’t possible keep up with her. That they were unable to engage in intelligent discourse because they’re athletes. As much as I enjoyed her loyalty to her friends and family and her sense of humor, the moments when I didn’t feel the urge to smack her upside the head were rare. She eventually came around and showed that her bitchy, stubborn attitude was a facade for the woman inside who’s greatest desire was to be loved by someone who could handle her and her rowdy family and not run away. Despite that, the way Naomi behaved for most of this book left a bad taste in my mouth.

Delicate Freakn' Flower was an incredibly sexy paranormal erotic romance about a petite, voluptuous shifter and two hot as hells Lacrosse players who find the things they always wanted and never dared to hope for in each others arms. This book includes oral sex, anal sex and M/F/M menage.

A nice little novella. It felt complete in itself. Many times stories feel shoe horned into the shorter format. I'd have been happy if it were longer but it didn't need to be. This one was all there. The writing was fresh, amusing and well done. The shifter guys were hot and sweet and there was enough detail to set the world up with out bogging the story done or making you wonder huh? I will definitely try more by this author.

Chouette !

Holy COW! This book NEEDS to come with a warning label. Oh wait, it does *rereads "this is a hot threesome story..."* Well it needs to include that the sexiness and intensity between Naomi, Ethan and Javier is so HOT that if you're not swooning, you're hosing off the bed sheets! I absolutely loved this book and it's another winner for Eve.

There's a reason why Eve is an author that's an auto buy for me. I don't even have to read the blurb or see the cover to know I'll enjoy every word. That says a lot because I'm a complete cover whore and have been known to turn away from a book when I wasn't "feeling" the blurb. There are so many things I love about Eve's books and this could very well be my favorite of hers to date.

One thing I love the most is the heroines in each book and Delicate Freakn' Flower had one so feisty that she literally screamed from the pages. Naomi is surrounded by loud, abrasive, rough and tumble shifters and craves for any sense of "normalcy" in her life. So much that she will ignore her shifter instincts and hold on to anything human. She proudly and loudly declares herself a delicate flower and is furious when her life is turned upside down by not one, but TWO suitors declaring her their mate. Does she get two calm, gentle human mates? Nope, she gets two hot as heck shifter Lacrosse players, Javier and Ethan and they drive her NUTS! I give her kudos, she gave it a good try to ignore the feelings they stirred in her and her own need to claim them. I wouldn't have been able to do it. One moment under their scrutiny and I'd be putty in their hands. I loved the attitude she gave, the way she tried to get what she needed but most of all, I loved it when she finally gave herself to them *sigh* it made for some hot lovin'

Javier and Ethan were PERFECT! I loved how they were both best friends and that they were able to roll with the punches when they realized they were mated to the same woman. It didn't become a contest to see who was better, it became how they could both help Naomi accept them and the mating. They both had these amazing attributes that made it hard to choose which I loved best. I loved Ethan and how he seemed like the under dog. He wasn't this suave casanova - he was honest, dedicated and completely focused on making Naomi happy. Javier was silver tongued with all the right flirty words but I loved how ready he was to commit, without a second thought. Together they were so protective and I can't even begin to imagine how they were together when they set their sights on you. Complete swoonfest!

This was a great book for a lazy afternoon. I had so much fun reading it and I walked away with that "feel good" feeling I expect after I finished devouring a story. I wasn't disappointed and this is definitely a book lovers of romance and shapeshifters will want to get their hands on. Two thumbs up Eve! Happy reading!

Naomi is a wolf shifter. Growing up in a shifter household means lots of pups, lots of fighting... Which means that pretty things break, and Naomi likes pretty things. She even refers to herself as a delicate flower and she's determined to find herself a nice stable human to settle down with so she doesn't have to worry about her breakable possessions.

The last thing she wants is a shifter mate, they're just too violent and insensitive to her needs. Then fate delivers a low blow to her head, literally! When she attends a lacrosse game she is not only hit in the head by an errant ball, she's also spotted by her true shifter mate, the male who's responsible for her head injury. Fate, it would seem, is not on Naomi's side... Could things get any worse?

Why, yes, of course it can!

Ethan a Kodiak bear and Javier a panther are the newest additions to the Ottawa city Loup-Garrou's lacrosse team and they are known across the sport as an unbeatable pair who always accomplish their goals. When they discover that they're destined to mate with the same (unwilling and rather volatile) woman, Ethan and Javier set to winning over their Delicate Freakin' Flower. Losing is never an option, and their flower is the ultimate trophy and prize:-) Too bad she's not more amenable to their needs...

This is a typical Langlais story. It's funny, fluffy and smutty. Ethan and Javier go to great lengths to make their woman happy, even when it goes against their shifter nature. But when they discover danger stalking their woman her wants are the last thing on their minds. Ethan and Javier will do anything to protect their mate, but they'll make sure to shield her delicate sensibilities, of course;-P

Loved the wooing part of the story, as well as Naomi's relationship with her family. The mystery part of the story fell short for me. Still, I'd say this one's worth 4 stars. Plus, it's a freebie.

Hands down shifters are my favorite Other creatures to read and Eve Langlais writes some of the most hottest domineering shifters I've read.

Delicate Freakn' Flower features the most interesting kind of characters. Naomi who is looking for a quiet man to live a quiet life yet mouthy herself I don't how she desired quiet at all. Naomi's brothers.... who I'm quite eager to get in the middle of. =D Naomi's parents who seem to have a story of their own. Lastly, the lacrosse buddies. Ethan and Javier. Shifters from different lineage but one hundred percent team players. Ethan is my favorite of the two. I can say that since I am not Naomi and can play favorites. His simple demeanor and his natural preference to be more action then words is fascinating.

Another highlight is the theme that's consistently kept. Naomi wants to be treated as a delicate flower amongst the chaos that so easily ensues around hotblooded shifters. Oddly, she herself is a shifter and well you catch my drift, right? So yes, there is a delicate freakn' flower theme and it's quite a fun ride to see how Naomi's beaus manage to keep things quiet, peaceful and delicate.

All in all, this story is hot romance to the core with a little touch of villain'ness' plot action. Oh, and the romance will send you into overdrive so be prepared.

I LOVE THIS FREAKN' BOOK!!!!

Omg - first off - first time reading a novel by Eve and she has drawn me in, and hypnotized me into having her as my fav author!!

This book is funny, mythical and sexually steamy. The banter is amazing, the guys are fucking hot!!

Who wouldn't want 2 hunks destined to b theirs? (um helloooo, show me where i can sign up!! lol) But ofcourse our delicate freakn' flower had to be difficult - even when she was shaking with horniness LOL. I enjoyed the losing battle she fought to deny her future mates.

The only thing i didn't like (and I guess it's cuz he's my fav) is that it seems like she favoured Ethan over Javier. She even said bears where her second, right after butterflies. *shrugs* I'm more attracted to the suave kind - the sexy, dirty mouth kind of guy who knows how to make a woman's body weep in bed (am not saying Ethan can't hold his own...but blah).

Javier is my fav and I felt Naomi had her interest leaning more to Ethan -_-

But aside from all that, true to my opinion and likes - I LOVE THE BOOK right to the very end!!

I was captivated by the sex scenes *drools*

She's one lucky bitch (no pun intended lmao) to have such beastly hunks all for herself <3

My Opinion:
I have only read a few shifter books. I am so glad I read this one. This book was a don’t want to put you down book. In fact I read it in less then two days. I totally enjoyed the chase of Naomi. I loved the way that Eve wrote this tale with two shifter mates. It didn’t seem at all confusing or wrong. I loved it! I will be looking at more books by Eve. I have seen reviews and such about this book and it’s author and I am sorry I didn’t give her a chance sooner. I simply fell in love with her. Great writing and a pleasure to read! I am glad I gave this one a chance. The sexual situations were not written raunchy. They were just like the book – GREAT! Naomi is a strong minded woman and knows what she wants. She doesn’t want two men making her life miserable. Along the way she finds that things aren’t always what they appear to be. Worth reading and fun to boot.
I give Delicate Freakn’ Flower by Eve Langlais 4.5 of 5 stars! Another of my 2012 favorites!

This book was so stupid. It's about three shifter's: a wolf female, a jaguar male and a bear male. Fate decides they are all to be mated. Naomi, the female, is a brat, always screeching that she's a "delicate freakn' flower". Up to 70% of the book is her horny for the guys, but not giving in to being mated to them, even though everyone who is a shifter knows that fate choose. So she pouts, yells, acts like a child etc etc. Even the sex wasn't that hot. You'd think a three some would illicit something. Not really.

Word count on "cleft": 24.

Skip this one.

I have a dirty secret. As much as I genuinely enjoy the shapeshifters genre, I only read it to get me out of a reading slump. They are just so fast passing and so amusing, with the classic drama, nothing too thick. However, I've found myself enjoying immensely the past two books I've read, just because I want to and not because I need their help.

Naomi is a wolf-shifter, whose life has always rotated around chaos because of her lycan family. Now a grown-up, Naomi wants nothing but peace and crystal butterflies in her life. Despite her wishes, destiny has other plans for her, and for this reason, she is granted two male alpha shapeshifter as mates and not a boring human.

Ethan and Javier have been best friends for almost eleven years. Although being remarkably different in personality, they compliment each other. Presently they get to do everything together when fate decides they will share a mate. Their problem lies not in sharing, but in convincing the lovely Naomi that they are what she wants and needs.

Honestly, the story was hilarious. Naomi's family specifically. I laughed uncontrollably throughout the whole book; thank God I was alone in the house or my family would have thought I was crazy.

Naomi and the boys together were a mix of hotness and sweetness. I wish I could be Naomi for one day so that I could have these two specimens for myself. Hands down my favorite trio and I haven't checked the other books from the series, but I do hope they get another feature because there is a particularly hot scene I am dying to read.

Overall, a great book. I know I'll be coming back for more of this series.

This was a really good story. I usually really enjoy Eve Langlais books but wasn't sure about this one but I'm glad I tried it. It was a very enjoyable read.

Naomi grew up in a household of shifters and hated it. Her 5 brothers broke just about everything she ever had and fought over ever little thing and she doesn't want to live with that all her life. She decided that she'd find a human to marry and not even try to find her mate. I like Naomi and I wasn't sure if I would at first. She does have idiosyncrasies but I can't help but like her. She's not delicate and tends to be very un-delicate when she's pissed but she wants to be treated like she's delicate. I guess it's because she's actually kind of delicate inside but she doesn't let that show. Naomi's plan to avoid mating ends when she goes to a Lacrosse match and she gets 2 mates chasing her.

Ethan and Javier are both Lacrosse player. Ethan is a bear shifter and when it comes down to it he's kinda a teddy bear himself. He's big and seems kinda scary but yet he's shy and gentle in reality. He's a real sweety but isn't good with words which he feels puts him at a disadvantage. He's a romantic at heart and is happy to find his mate and pursues Naomi without delay when he sees her.

Ethan has been friends with Javier for years and they've shared women before. Javier is a ladies man and tended to pick up the women they shared. He never wanted to settle down, never planned on it but once he gets to know Naomi he decides differently and pursues her as well. He's smoother than Ethan so they even each other out well and he's a good guy.

Both Ethan and Javier figured out real quick that Naomi wasn't going to make things easy on them. With some help from her Mom they manage to get an in with her and then they worked to get her to like them. This was torture for all of them because the mating fever made them all want to have sex but while Naomi was willing to have sex, the guys wouldn't have sex with her unless she agreed to mate them. This led to some interesting times and I enjoyed seeing the interplay between the 3. It was also cool to see Ethan and Javier figure out what she needed how they could best give it to her (i.e. the butterfly...both the gift and the meaning behind it for her).

There was some action in the story. Someone keeps sending veiled messages and threats to Naomi. She's an accountant and they think it might be a client. Ethan and Javier have to work to keep her safe while wooing her...and I did mention she has a temper right? Things get worked out thought and it had a good ending.

I really enjoyed this story. I will be reading the next in the series. I'd recommend this as a very good and fun read. :D

Naomi wants a calm normal human husband to spend the rest of her life with in a quiet house where she does not have to worry about her precious baubles getting broken. That said she wants to spend her adult life completely opposite of what growing up in her family home full of brawling shifters was like. She wants to be treated like the delicate flower that she sees herself as being. That is so not what Naomi is. She’s tough and can handle herself in any situation. She just doesn’t want chaos in her life any longer. An afternoon at a lacrosse game sends chaos in the form of not one, but two males claiming to be her mate to her front door. Naomi wants nothing to do with them. They’re athletes, they’re shifters, so they must not be very bright and they have to be testosterone filled chest pounding Neanderthals.

Ethan and Javier want nothing more than to make their mate happy and theirs. They go through amazing lengths to see that her life is not disrupted by them. They are so sweet in how they show her that they do not fit the stereotypical mold that she has crammed them into. They are unyielding in getting Naomi to see them as more than thickheaded athletes. Ethan is an enormous Kodiak shifter who is shy and oh so determined. Javier is a sexy sleek panther shifter who has always been a ladies man. Javier and Ethan have shared lovers in the past so they do not see any problems with sharing a mate.

Very fun read. This is the first Eve Langlais book that I have read and I have really been missing out. I will definitely be reading more from this author. This book has so many great elements. It’s funny, it has some very sexy shifters of several different varieties, readers get humor, snark and three main characters that are determined to have things their way. I forgot to mention the romance. HOT! The sex scenes are scorching hot and the romance is so sweet. My biggest attraction to romance novels is the chase. These two sexy shifters are sexy, sweet, and romantic and they are perfectly relentless in their pursuit of Naomi. The guys are all about Naomi, and not each other.

I love Ms. Langlais' humor. And her female characters. They are all kick-ass, take-no-prisoners strong, but melt when the right man comes along. Such was the case with Naomi. She's a wolf shifter, and because of the chaos in which she was raised (her brothers constantly brawl and tear up the house), she wants to marry a human and have a nice, "calm" existence.

But fate has different plans. She goes to a lacrosse game with her best friend (she doesn't like lacrosse), and gets pegged in the face with the ball by a bear shifter (accidentally, of course). The bear was off-kilter because his bear recognized her as his mate. Then, when he goes to apologize (and hopefully claim his mate) with his best friend, his best friend's jaguar recognizes her as his mate, too! Good thing Ethan and Javier had shared in the past, so it wasn't completely awkward! But Naomi wants nothing to do with either of them -- no matter how much her inner wolf craves them.

She fights it very hard, but they worm their way into her heart. And along the way, a few well-placed threats give them cause to keep her near. Ultimately a very cute story about her acceptance and love of her mates and their absolutely pure love for her.

There were a bunch of editing issues in this one, which surprised me, because I don't remember that in other stories I've read by this author. So be forewarned if it's a problem for you. Unfortunately, I can't turn off my inner red pencil. :-/ BUT it was a good, fun story with good humor, so I'll definitely read the next one.

After owning this book for 'freakn' ever I finally read it. I didn't think it was as funny as another Eve Langlais book I recently read (Bunny and the Bear), but it was entertaining and I am kicking myself wondering why I waited so long (unfortunately it is probably because all the other books are not free (like this one when I got it) or not on Kindle Unlimited).

I love the huge hot, sexy bear shifer, Ethan, a lacrosse player, but he is not the typical dumb jock and is an architect during his off-season. I also love the super-suave, skirt-chasing, one night stand panther shifter, Javier (though I don't really care for the name because I feel like it is synonymous to an oily car-salesman type man) who is part of the dynamic duo of their lacrosse team, but also not a dumb jock and playboy because during his off-season he writes computer programs for tech companies. And finally I LOVE the heroine who, even though she insists she is a delicate flower, is strong enough to take on these two hot shifters an be their mate.

I am looking forward to reading the rest of the books, but outside of getting a bunch of amazon gift cards so I can purchase the next books in the series, the next books go on sale, find them in the library, or get a friend to lend them to me it may be a little while before I can get to the rest of the series.

An adorable, funny, and entertaining shifter menage. The guys were hot and delicious, hello...lacrosse players! What's not to like about that? Naomi was a snippy beleaguered younger sister who just had too much of BS testosterone and paints all shifters with the same brush. Mistake. Big mistake. Ethan and Javieer are the quiet controlled sort of dominant male, which when you take into consideration their shifted form makes a lot of sense. Well thought out characterizations of all and an interesting plot to drive the romance.

Just OK for me...I just couldn't connect with Naomi. She was kind of annoying in her determination to not mate with any shifters. Her reason seemed very silly to me...she doesn't want them to fight and break her stuff!!! Come on...

I did, however, like Ethan (the big teddy bear) and Javier (the sexy jaguar). They all felt and knew that they were fated mates. They just had to convince Naomi to get with the program.
