Rate this book
The explosive sequel to “The Wayman’s Awakening”—a perfect fit for fans of Legendborn and Bleach.

When light is removed, all that remains is darkness... a crouching, ravenous, darkness. Summer break takes a sinister turn for sixteen-year-old Maleek Warden. Whether it's locating the elusive Christopher Lyles, combating a sudden wave of demonic activity, dealing with a city gripped by mysterious blackouts, or unearthing the group of masked cultists orchestrating a terrifying scheme from the shadows, Maleek finds himself at the center of a supernatural whirlwind. As if his plate wasn't full enough, cryptic symbols begin to mark Maleek's skin, his powers start to spiral out of control, and a menacing presence inside him threatens to consume his very soul. As the entire region teeters on the edge of chaos, Maleek and his companions must do what it takes to restore balance to the region, even if that means working with the dangerous and captivating Rhema, for whom his feelings are becoming complicated. Facing the darkness that engulfs the city and the storm brewing inside him, will Maleek find the strength to retrieve the stolen relics and save all that he cherishes? Or will he be devoured by the relentless shadows, leaving his world to spiral into chaos forever?

💀🔥🛡⚔ AN ACTION-PACKED SEQUEL

In an office, Hades director Samuel Blake prepared to deliver strange news to President Calvin Wright.
Special Agent Goss watched him out of the corner of his eye.

The president entered the office, slightly late.
Samuel Blake then showed him the problematic video.
Under the dumbfounded eyes of the President, Sam explained to him the existence of two dimensions on our planet...

Here is the continuation of the dangerous and fantastic adventures of the three teenagers Dante, Lysa and Maleek.

Unfortunately, I did not manage to find the magic of volume 1, which I had literally adored, in this volume 2. The reading was curiously more difficult, and the events more complex to follow.

This remains a very good sequel full of action, surprises and mysteries.
Given the end of this book, I wonder what volume 3 has in store for us...

To discover for lovers of action-packed youth fantasy.
