Given to an alien brute. Forced to become his bride...

The rundown human worldship is a bleak place, but it’s my home and it’s where all the people I care about live. My mother, my sister, my students, and my sweet fiancé, Nathan. I never imagined I’d be forced to leave... forced to become the mate of a barbaric Darrvason admiral.

But the survival of humankind hangs in the balance, and I’m not the only woman whose life has been upended. Over two thousand young women are set to be handed over to the powerful aliens in exchange for fuel, repairs, and assistance in reaching a habitable planet. Payment. That’s what we are, and we have no choice.

My new husband, Admiral Tornn, is a huge, musclebound beast who expects my absolute obedience. In his culture, I’m little more than his property. But to my shock, he awakens a yearning within me unlike anything I’ve ever known, and his firm punishments and savage lovemaking are causing me to question everything I’ve been taught.

Publisher’s Note: Tornn’s Mate is a dark romance that includes power exchange, spankings, and intense sexual scenes. Please do not purchase or read this book if such material offends you.

Storyline was good, but I’m not a fan of the storytelling. The heroine is a simpering female, and the hero comes across as a bit of a arsehole. I had thoughts of not finishing the story cause I didn’t click with the characters

Steamy alien smut, with a fun package!

The following ratings are out of 5:
Romance: 🖤💙
Heat/Steam: 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Story/Plot: 📕📗
World building: 🌏🌍
Character development: ☹️😮😋
Narrator(s): 🎙🎙🎙🎙🎙
Narration type: Dual Narration

The heroine: Ellie - she is one of the 50,000 human passengers on a world ship, which is a ship with all the remaining humans who left Earth and have been searching for a habitable planet after Earth became uninhabitable. Her uncle is the captain of the world ship and is not a good man. Though Ellie lived on the upper floors with the wealthy, she and her mother and sister, didn’t have any control over their lives. The world ship has been traveling for too many years and is breaking down and has run out of many resources. The bottom floors are no longer habitable.

The Hero: Admiral Tornn - He is the Darrvason Fleet Admiral. The fleet is a bunch of world ships that are traveling together to find a new home for the Darrvason people since their planet was destroyed by their greatest enemy. Their ships are in a much better state than the human ship, they have plenty of resources and keep their ships in good condition. Though they are a dying species since they have a lack of females to breed with. So the Darrvason Emporer makes a deal with the human captain to exchange resources and workers to fix the ship for human females to breed with and marry.

The Story: Ellie’s uncle agrees to the terms and plans to give 20 human women to the aliens right away, then another 200 after the Darrvason’s help with the world ship and when the aliens help the humans find a habitable world, then another 2000 women. The leaders of the humans tell people that the females are chosen via a lottery at random, but everyone knows that is not true, most of the females are those that spent time in the brig and Ellie knows that the choice to include her was anything but random. She had already been engaged to a guy named Nathan when she was chosen and her uncle was threatening her mother and sister if she didn’t act like she was happy about it.

Tornn and the Darrvason people are nearly all males and are very large and dominant. They are at least two heads taller than most human males, muscular and they have special packages. Including dual phalluses and vibrating testicles. They are also into punishment kink with their females, so you know from the start that this is going to be heavy on the alien smut and it didn’t disappoint in that aspect. As a matter of fact, by three hours in, I was ready for a story and had enough of the steamy scenes. They didn’t stop though, and there wasn’t much of a story in the end. Just a lot of sizzling alien porn. I definitely didn’t like how Tornn took control of Ellie’s life and held her captive, punishing her whenever she did something he didn’t like. Not the kind of book boyfriend I like.

This audiobook was told in multiple points of view and was narrated in dual narration by Tor Thom and Heather Firth. I really like Tor Thom’s super deep voice for these huge and dominant alien males. He does a great job and his voice is perfect for Tornn. Heather Firth has a nice voice that is expressive and is enjoyable to listen to.

TLDR: Not my favorite, but also...

Kate McKinnon saying 'Wasn't my worst Wednesday night' while smoking a cigarette. From SNL 'Close Encounters' skit where she describes her alien abduction.

Honestly, I recommend only if you're looking for a SFR with domestic discipline lifestyle kink. As in, expect spanking scenes and a 24/7 dom/sub dynamic. Sue Lyndon (aka Sue Mercury) is one of those authors with a distinct writing style and specific niche, although this book is still pretty tame compared to, say, Alien Daddies 😁😜.

I really liked the premise. FMC is on a "Noah's Ark" style ship carrying the last of humanity, desperately searching for a new planet to call home after generations of wandering. To keep population low, human libidos are medically suppressed. But things are getting tough—they're running low on supplies and need repairs, which leads to women being traded (not exactly willingly) to Darrvason aliens in exchange for much-needed help.

I was uneasy with the OM drama:

🌶: High steam, both are virgins, although the MMC doesn't really act like it. He also has creative anatomy:

Free on KU. Audiobook narrated by Tor Thom and Heather Firth. (As always, see my tags for more info.)

1⭐️ NO! Just no!

Reasons why I disliked it:

1. I loathe physical violence during sex…well I hate it in any kind of unnecessary situation really, but especially during sex. Below you can find a direct quote from the book and you can decide for yourself if I’m exaggerating or not! Maybe I am…but…🤷🏻‍♀️

“When I ask her a question, I expect an answer.
I sigh and step away, then bring my hand cracking down on her left cheek. She gasps and tries to evade further chastisement, but I’m quick to administer an equally severe smack to her right cheek.”

Or

“I tangle my fingers in her hair and tug until her back arches”

I’m sorry, whaaaaat??? Immediately NO!😵 Now, I don’t know if by cheek the author is referring to her face or to her ass cheek 😂…but I’m just not into bdsm and shit. Unpopular opinion, but you can’t mix endearing romance with bdsm scenes, it just doesn’t work! Or it may work for some, but not for me!😅

2. Cringey and unsuitable dialogue for this kind of setting. See below what I mean by that!

“Who owns this pussy of yours?”

Sir, straight to jail!!!! 😂 You’re telling me an alien talks like this? Like a contemporary alpha male? 😂

3. The heroine immediately forgot all about her beloved fiancee and was almost….what’s the equivalent for pussy whipped but for the women? Cock struck? Dicknotised?🤔 Idk but that’s what the heroine was!😂 I just don’t vibe with unloyal people/ characters! And I get that they were supposed to be mates and all, but it was mainly about sex with these two, nothing else. 🤷🏻‍♀️🥴

- No real world building, none!

Overall, it was bad! At least for me it was, so yeah!🤷🏻‍♀️

Dnf 30%

Ps: English is not my first language, so I apologize for any grammatical errors ✌🏻

Darrvason admiral Tornn (H) leads his race’s fleet that will aid a human worldship in need of supplies and repairs in exchange for women to marry. Ellie (h) unexpectedly finds herself as on of the brides, despite having a human fiancé, and now must serve Tornn as an obedient, submissive wife. Tornn must set an appropriate example and handle his new wife with tender loving care coupled with plenty of spanking, discipline, and plenty of sex to ensure that all know she belongs to him. An interesting story of intrigue and betrayal with a lot of extremely intense sexual action as Tornn and Ellies get to know one another. Very, very hot and intensely sexy! Special eggplants always a welcome addition.

Not for me

The writing was good and the story line interesting but the sex, note not lovemaking, was too abusive for me. There was no affection just overpowering and pain. Not interested in any further stories along this line.

This sci-fi story was great! I enjoyed the added drama of a doomed spacecraft. Most of these types of books make the aliens out to be bad guys, giving ultimatums to get the women they need to breed. I liked that these were kind of like road service. We'll fix your car but you'll get a bill. In this case, it's human females!

I received an advance copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.

No, not even a little. More like hypocrites 'r us. Not badly written, but. . .

You have to enjoy women acting like doormats and being treated like property/livestock for this to be okay. I'm too strong-willed and have way too much self-respect to enjoy this, which really just ticked me off: from the second chapter I stayed pretty furious and just wanted to push this alien assh0le, her uncle and all the males like him, out of an airlock watch them explode or turn into Jello or whatever it is they do in space. Before I was even a quarter through this, the only entertainment I got from it was imagining all the creative ways I could come up with for the controlling, self-centered, and unapologetically abusive males to die horribly.

Ellie was terribly judgmental and hypocritical about her fiancé's attitude toward the aliens who basically stole his woman. Why is she surprised? She made a big deal about how the Darvvasons offered an alliance, but let's be honest the humans were between a rock and a hard place it was obvious with the aliens' technological advancements and strength if the humans had refused, chances were they were going to get attacked and have the women stolen anyway; might as well make the alliance and try to save the rest of the human population through the deal. The Darvvasons basically EXTORTED the humans to sell their women and engaged in human trafficking and sexual-breeding slavery. How is it any more surprising or wrong that her fiancé was as possessive and murderous about someone who ACTUALLY DID steal, and intended for the most part to coersively rape his woman, as the admiral who basically said he'd kill anyone who tried to steal her or even touched her? At least her fiancé doesn't hit her. If the aliens were so magnanimous they would have insured that the females they were getting were all volunteers and they would have shown respect by speaking to the female population directly to explain what they wanted first and shown them that modicum of consideration and agency, yet they didn't (not that the human leaders were any better). Then, the whole termination issue: not every woman wants to carry her rapist's baby, AND THAT IS OKAY. It isn't unreasonable for Nathan to believe she might have adverse feelings toward the aliens who took her and are forcing her into this situation and express support should she want to terminate any pregnancy that resulted from the coerced situation.

The author throwing in Nathan's perfidy at the end didn't change my opinion on any of this and it seemed like a way to more thoroughly make him the villain when really up to that point he was no different than the Admiral. In short, it didn't work because no guy can fake it for 5 years perfectly. So, while he may have had ulterior motives, he did treat her well, which again is exactly the same situation as with the Admiral except the Admiral has groomed her to accept being beaten for even minor infractions.

So, if you're a submissive doormat lacking in will and self-respect go for it, this will be your cup of tea, but for me it just made me want to imagine some appendage removal after writing in scenarios during which the idiot men had to endure the same stripping of agency, dignity, and respect the women had been subjected to right before flushing the misogynist scum out the intergalactic toilet.

A niche story, I'm afraid...

I found the dom-sub crap anything but appealing. If you like a bossy man who spanks and whips you and controls everything you do, this may be your thing. I prefer a more equal and mutually respectful relationship, and found it depressing to think an alien hottie would be a bigger arsehole than Earth men. 🙄

I want to like this book, it has all the right ingredients but there’s no real chemistry between the MCs, just sex. And as a sci fi, the world building is not much, no talks of technologies or different worlds, just sex. Kinda boring too so skimmed some parts and was leaning towards DNF but pushed through.

Storyline about (somewhat) humanoid aliens called The Darrvasons wandering space searching for a planet to inhabit. Their home world was destroyed by their enemies and their species is diminishing because their women were also destroyed.

Humans were threatened to leave earth or be destroyed. The spaceship called The Jansonna is a WorldShip that is the residence for the last of humankind. The Jansonna is nearly out of fuel, has limited usable space due to gas leaks, the water filtration system and environmental controls are all faulty. Their only hope is to accept an alliance with The Darrvasons. The Darravasons want their human women to mate and have children with. Instead of asking women to volunteer, the captain of the Jansonna forces 30 fertile women, women he selected, to become mates to these aliens.

Ellie is the niece of the captain of the Jansonna and she is selected by Admiral Tornn as his mate. This is not a love story because there is more sex than romance. If you like S&M this is your kind of book, but I don't. I have never enjoyed reading books where the women are completely submissive and subject to physical punishment like a strap.

I did like the part of the storyline that had both species looking for a planet to inhabit. I'd like to know if they ever make it. There were some characters who could have been developed a little more like Officer Paddax and his mate Sheila. A little more info about the enemies of both species would have been interesting also.

Overall, there was very little action, no thrills and as I mentioned no romance.

Riveting read, last of humans and Darrvason’s travel through space searching for new home world
The human spaceship had been ailing and if they had not been approached by the Darrvason with a deal to assist with ship repairs in exchange for females they could take as their mates, they would also assist the humans in finding a home world that would be suitable to support the remaining men, women and any offspring they might have in the future.
The first women were taken by the Darrvason and it was quite a surprise as they were not at all as they had been told and the Admiral Tornn had taken the daughter of the deceased captain as his mate, Ellie had been threatened by her uncle who was a monster who threatened her mother and sister with harm if she complained or caused any descent with the other females.
Ellie missed her mother and younger sister but was surprised after she had expressed her concerns regarding her Uncles cruelty, he had instantly visited him and ensured that her sibling and mother were protected at all times and Tornn had put his cousin in an overseer position whilst the repairs on the ship were made.
As time passed and the actual sexual interaction between Ellie and the Admiral flourish her feelings for the man change and it soon becomes apparent that they have a heart bond, in fact Tornn’s markings are reflected on Ellies arms and they are also psychically linked which was more that he could ever have dreamed of.
As always there are those humans that were bitter and their minds had become warped by listening to those that wished to harm the Darrvason’s and so when Ellie had become suspicious about the agreement, they had been ready for any possible attacks. However, the initial motives and the methods used had been extremely barbaric and would have caused untold harm to the aliens who had done no more that form an agreement with the dying humans for helping to repair their ships which were falling apart.
I guarantee that you will be captivated by this wonderful story and will be looking forward to the future books in this series.
assure you that you will love every moment of this book it is simply a fantastic read.

Story: 1.5 stars out of 5
Smut: 4 stars out of 5
Dark romance: 0.5 stars out of 5

So this one is basically just a smut-fest on almost every single page. Tornn and Ellie are either thinking about sex, or having it, constantly and so much I can’t imagine Ellie’s parts feel all that good as they frequently have sex multiple times a day and Tornn uses both his cocks multiple times during each session. Yes, apparently these aliens have two dicks that can release their essence independently. It’s mentioned their females have two pussies and two wombs but then later makes it seem like they only have one baby at a time so idk how that works. But the story isn’t that great so I guess it doesn’t need to make sense.

So while the story isn’t all that developed, but there is a slight story. Tornn’s alien race is, of course, facing extinction unless they can breed some females since they have so few. Enter the human race, of course. Humans are seeking a new planet because Earth was taken over by an alien race. About 50,000 humans are on Ellie’s ship but things aren’t great. Rationing of everything and conspiracies abound. So Tornn’s people make an agreement with the human people. 30 breedable females in exchange for repairs to the human ship. Then 100 more females, and eventually once they escort the human ship to a habitable new planet, 2,000 more females for the aliens to claim as mates.

Tornn is an admiral for his race. He claims Ellie. A true mate bond (they call it a heartbond) forms between the two. They copulate A LOT. Some anti-alien humans conspire to kill off the alien race. Tornn and Ellie copulate a lot again. The end.

There are minor characters who will have their own book I’m sure but I won’t continue. It’s just not enough substance for me in the story. It’s pretty much just pure smutty smut. And as for the “dark romance” it’s touted as…yeah this isn’t dark. I mean it gives BDSM and alpha male control but nothing that would deserve a label of a dark romance.

Tornn's Mate: A Dark Sci-Fi Alien Romance is the first book in the series Worldship Brides by Sue Lyndon. This is an amazing story that rocked from beginning to end! And kept us guessing……The story is filled with suspense, intrigue, HOT sexy scenes, gorgeous Alpha men and a warm, beautiful romance.
This Sci-Fi story takes place on Spaceships where the Aliens and Humans are searching for new homes. The Humans desperately need supplies and repairs to their ship, Jansonna, the Aliens need women to ensure the continuance of their species. And the story take off! Sounds simple. HA, nothing is easy. We meet Ellie, as the first group of women are given to the Darrvason, as the Aliens begin to repair and replenish the Humans ship. The Darrvason, Admiral Torn takes Ellie as his mate and the chemistry between them becomes electric but they don’t accept it. They have much to learn about the cultures and each other. Can they trust one another? There is distrust, intrigue and suspicion between the species, as the Darrvason search for a habitable planet. Ellie and Tornn are afraid to hope for the happily ever after they both yearn for. When it’s finally within their grasp will they be brave enough to take a chance?
Sue Lyndon takes us on a journey with the Darrvason/Human intimate relationships where characters learn about each other and themselves. They learn that together they grow stronger and realize a bright future.
Sue Lyndon is a very talented writer who continues to dazzle us with her stories. This is no exception! It is well written, filled with mystery, a romantic love story with plenty of surprises and twists and turns. Keeps you interested until the last page! I look forward to the next book, as it looks like Ellie’s sister may have a story coming in a future book release?

Wow to say this book was hot and steamy is an understatement and I loved it do wish there was a stronger storyline as well yes but I loved it. Ellie is a human that’s been raised and lives on the world ship the Jansonna and she is engaged to Nathan but there is something about him that’s off and I think she can do better and now the Darrvason aliens have arrived to help them but in return they need females to save there population and her uncle is the Captain of the Jansonna and he agrees to there terms. Admiral Tornn’s is an Darrvason warrior that is looking for a new home and need females to repopulate his species and when they come across a human spaceship that needs repairs and a habitable planet to live on and meeting the Captain of the spaceship they make a deal to help them and get the females in return. But what Tornn’s doesn’t know is that the females have been forced to into this arrangement and that the Captains niece is the one the Admiral has chosen for himself and the steamy chemistry between them has them burning up the sheets and Ellie is shocked that she enjoys his dominance more than she should but neither wants to admit that they both want more from each other and Tornn’s is so taken with Ellie and wonders if the humans can be more than just breeders to them. This book has a lot of hot and steamy scenes which i enjoyed but its not everyone’s cup of tea. Great start to a new series and I cannot wait for the next one.

it was ok

For a race of dominant aliens, they are very lenient. And many things don’t make sense:
- the H is upset the females were not volunteers, but in his culture the father picks the husband for his daughter. I would think the arrangement would sound normal to him.
-the H won’t let her out on her own because he fears other males. Did their civilization never figure out self control?
- the H home world was destroyed, but then the surviving 15 ships destroyed their enemy? If 15 ships can destroy an entrare planet, how did the enemy get to destroy them?
- the person who wrote this doesn’t know much about vaccines. The whole inject the maye with a virus, but they get a vaccine overnight doesn’t quite work, since you need to test it on actual people to be sure. Saying they identified a treatment and contained it would be good. The vaccine just went blah.
Also, was Ellies’ father murdered? I thought the virus was going to be the one that killed her father. That the entire delegation got sick and died and none of the people caring for them got sick Sounds really off.
- how are the humans 3k years behind the D. Ellie said they were experimenting with technology that the D had perfected. That doesn’t sound like 3k difference.
I am surprised that with the amount of steam there was still so much plot. So that’s a plus. Just wish it felt a little more thought through.

Not for me... I managed to hang in there until the end, but it was tough. I've read a few "dom-submission" books, but this wasn't that. This male treated her like a child... from demands to spankings and not the cute kind! Example: All the women given to the alien were aboard a "world ship" because Earth was no longer available to habitat. In the search for a new planet,...women were given to the alien in enhance for an alliance to find another planet for the humans. However, the women were told that if they didn't comply, then their family on the world ship would suffer, so they went willingly.

She finds out there's a plot to get the woman back but doesn't tell her mate bc he may get mad and hurt her family and ex-fiance. When he finally finds out...her mate wants to take a WHIP to her butt, back, and breast! Wtf! This is most chapters...this ain't love, baby girl. This is possession and degradation.

I tried to get into the plot of how the humans are trying to overthrow the captain and the aliens that took their women...but it was overshadowed by the tyrant mates that kept telling the women they belongs to them...like property. Not like Alpha males that are sweet to them but possessive.

I was feeling anxiety simply READING it! At one point, my hand was shaking! The relationship was FEAR based! I won't yuck someone else's yum...I'll just say it's not for me, and I don't plan to continue the series.

Over fifty-thousand humans live aboard the world ship Jansonna traveling through space, seeking a habitable planet for their species as the fuel and resources aboard slowly dwindle leaving few options for survival until the alien Darrvason’s appear and offer an arrangement in exchange for human females for breeding thereby avoiding extinction of their own race they will repair and lead the vessel to a habitable planet.
Forced by her uncle the Captain of the Jansonna, Ellie along with the first group of females is given over and selected by Darrvason Admiral Tornn as his new mate.
I prefer my heroines with more feistiness to them as Ellie was a little too timid for my liking.
Readers should also heed the author’s trigger warnings as this story is fairly dark when it comes to the Darrvason/Human intimate relations IE spankings, power exchange and such.
In between all the erotic goings on there is a story of bonding, intrigue and complex species interactions but nothing new and visionary just the usual trope.
The writing was good the narrative mainly escapism reading which I did finish and will pick up the next book as it looks like Ellie’s sister may have a story coming in a future book release?

This book is a bit dark so please do read about the content first if you typically go for lighter-hearted alien romances.Torrn is a Darrvason military Admiral. He and the last of his species have been roaming the stars in their search for mates. There are so few of their own females left that any chance to have offspring and keep them from dying out will be grasped. He had never expected to "feel" for his little human wife though. Ellie both amazes and frustrates him in turn. He was foolishly expecting her to be like their own females but human women are not the same at all. Ellie has grown up on a ship along with all the other girls who were picked to be sent as brides, not one of them volunteered. She is expecting to be nothing more than a living, breathing incubator for these aliens. She's been taken from her family, fiance and all she cares about. Told to simply obey her new husband she finds his ideas of how he wishes her to be behave different from what she is used to and she struggles with it. Yet despite how possessive and dominating Torrn is, she is surprised at how he also appears to think of her, care for her and look after her, then again she is just a vessel or is there more to it?
I loved the world building here and the hints of other relationships to come. The difference between the two cultures was great.

Love In The Stars!

Ellie is on the Jansonna, the world ship that houses the last of human kind. Their ship is falling apart and they are running out of supplies. So, when they are approached by a fleet of Darrvason’s who agree to help them in return for breeding age females, they have little choice but to agree. Unfortunately, Ellie is one of the first 30 women to be handed over. She is scared and angry that her Uncle, the Captain of the Ship, would force this on her. He has threatened her mother and sister if she doesn’t go agreeable and not cause any problems.

Admiral Tornn is drawn to Ellie from the first second he sees her. He choses her for his mate. These females will save his people from extinction as they search for a new planet to call home. He knows she will never be his heartbond, because that only happens with Darrvason females. But he can’t seem to stay away from her and as time passes, she has become his everything. But the alliance with the humans is threatened by their treachery. Ellie will do everything in her power to keep her mate from harm and to keep her mother and sister safe. But will it be enough?.

The worldship, a giant spacecraft carrying the last of the human race, is languishing, in desperate need of fuel, critical repairs and a safe, habitable destination. The Darrvasons, a powerful race of warriors, are willing to help – for a price. In return for fertile human females they’ll take as mates, the fierce aliens will use their advanced technology to stabilize the ship and find a suitable new home for the beleaguered people on board.
Ellie has been coerced by her uncle, the captain of the Earth vessel, into taking her place with the other tribute brides, and a hulking alien with purple eyes quickly chooses her for his own.
Admiral Tornn is unprepared for the sudden, overwhelming need he experiences for the small female who now belongs to him. He senses her fear and is surprised by her initial defiance, though determined to enforce her obedience.
As Ellie and Tornn begin to form a heartbond, one he didn’t think possible, the pair are forced to deal with unseen enemies. It’s a great start to a new series, with excellent world building, an intriguing plot line and engaging characters.

Ellie is barter along with 29 other women. Her uncle and the CDR of Jansonna, CPT Warren needs them to go with the Darrvasons. They need supplies and help from them to repair their ship. But that is not the only reason. The Darrvasons need females to build their population. Ellie will do it as long as her mother and sister are cared for. Tornn is not an alien to mess with. He and his men have no females or a home. They are dying off and need to repopulate. When they are given a gift, they have no problem helping the Terrans. But things aren’t what they seem to be and he will find out about the deception.

I love a new alien series. Ellie is a strong woman that was dealt a bad hand with her uncle. He is cruel and cares nothing but for himself. Using the women and not even letting the Darrvasons know that these women were not willing is callous. Tornn is going to find out and there will be hell to pay. I am not liking Nathan either. There is something going on that they are keeping hidden. And I love that there is a bond that happens. Our new adventure begins. Looking forward to reading more about Brute and Jenny as well as the Emperor Radakk and Thalia.

This is my very first book written by Sue Lyndon and it was fantastic! I always love reading the first book in a new series...world building and getting to know the author's style of writing.

This book was a great first book! I'm definitely looking forward to reading the rest of the series!

The Darrvasons have made a pact with some humans...and the payment was in women. They need women to populate their race, as they have very few women.

Once Ellie boards the Haxxal, she is immediately claimed by Tornn and is considered married to him. She belongs to him. And boy does she find that out fast! The dynamics between Tornn and Ellie is actually pretty sweet. I mean, yes, he thinks of her as one of his possessions, but he also shows her his sweet side. Eventually, it turns into love and that's what it's all about.

They finally locate a planet that will support both the Darrvasons and the Humans...I'm looking forward to reading about this...hopefully in Book 2.

If you enjoy books about hunky aliens and their mates, you're going to love this book! Pick it up...you'll like it...I promise!

I really love Sue Lyndon/Sue Mercury books. Her alien books are among my favorites. In this book the aliens are an unknown factor to the human women on the Jansonna (the Earth ship carrying the last humans who are looking for a new home planet). This is another "aliens lost their females and are looking for compatible breeders" story - which I enjoy. The aliens are exchanging knowledge/help in exchange for healthy females of childbearing age in hopes of perpetuating their species. Of course the humans in charge always rig/choose which females are chosen. This story is about the first exchange of 30 females. I really liked the plot on this one and the details surrounding the coercion used. I loved that even though Ellie was frightened, she stood her ground to confront her new mate when things went sideways. I read for the story and sort of skim over the explicit parts (which there are many in this story - so if that is what you are looking for this story has plenty of it). Either way, it is a very enjoyable story and I really hope we get the Emperor's story.

I suspect the loads of 4 & 5 star reviews are driven by the authors choice of alien biology. The author strategically gave her hero’s species a little extra something something in the boxers department allowing her to pen some very specific kinky scenes. (Two dicks.)

My personal preferences are neither vanilla nor hard core. I’m of the opinion that should a consensual sex scene not be to my personal taste I’m better served skipping ahead or putting it down over giving a book a bad review. My five star books all have strong plots and character growth. I adore sci-fi romance for the added connection between the main characters and world building. I give this book 2 stars as it fell flat on all 4 fronts with undelivered potential. No the author was not aiming for “high fiction” but I’m not letting her off the hook. Clearly she has the imagination. I think if she applied herself she could have delivered.

You will get plenty of spicy/kinky sex screens a few space ships and “plenty of big alien.”
