I can't believe this book has only one other review (as of 10/30/10). That suggests to me that it hasn't been widely read. What a shock! This was an amazingly realistic story. The author is a very talented writer with the ability to draw you right into the story and make you feel like you're part of the scene. It wasn't corny or overly preachy. It all felt like 'real life.' I just loved the hero. The only negative thing I would say is that at one point I wanted to shake the heroine and tell her she was nuts to run from the hero! But it was only a little frustrating and she quickly got over her behavior. At least it felt like it was quick. Perhaps it's because I couldn't put the book down and read it very quickly. After reading this book I have discovered that it is the 2nd book in a series. I look forward to reading the rest of the series and if this book is any indication of Sally John's writing ability then I will be reading all of her books.

Terri, a paramedic, now sitting at hospital, her mantra is” fix his leg”of an eight year old boy. The camaraderie at the station, help after the emergency runs of the day. When she gets attention from Gabe, she doesn’t know how to handle it. She puts up a brave front, and he see’s beyond that. Will she accept his love. This story was so real, of a woman in a mans world, to joke, to cover up her emotions from the day. Till love comes and she wants, love and marriage.

This is the first Sally John book I have read and am a HUGE fan already. The twists and turns create suspense leading to an ending that gives you a glimpse of God working in the most unlikely hearts.
Her characters are so real and varied and VERY believable in the real world. I think I may have known some of them. LOL

I really enjoyed this book, especially because it didn't cause tears like the first in the trilogy.

I thouht the characters were interesting, the plot moved, and the stalking incident was out of the ordinary. Overall a fun read.
