If you ventured into the land of motivational learning and reading, this is a book you can read fast or skip. The things it shares you probably found already. For me, it was too light to matter and to ... surreal...to count. I know, believing does the trick, but only if you can make me believe. I don't like to feel like my read gives me an ultimatum and pretends to be my only cure/hope/way. I want it to tell me new things, leave room for choice and debate. I want to be able to talk about a book. This book doesn’t talk to me, it talks about, mainly, over and over, like a testimonial, about Jonathan. Fine, he may be one of the greatest people on Earth, but come back to me and my life and my situation and help me learn something more than a name and a contact for a spiritual guru. I almost put the book down when I, as a reader, was compared to a dog on a short leash. And then again when the book told me victims of abuse ask for it. Things I recommend after reading it: 1. Make a list of all the things that scare you - Transform it into goals ex: I'm afraid I'll never be good at driving - I want to be an ace driver in a super cool car
2. Make 2 lists - 1 consisting of the situation, state of mind, place in life, view you have. Let yourself hit rock bottom, bring back all the negativity. Cry. And 1 consisting of the situation you aspire to, the ideal state of mind, where you want to be, do, have. Dream, dream big, imagine. And now burn the first list and carry the second with you, close, for a week. Read it every day. Re-live it in emotion and dreams.
IF you want to discover these advices on your own, examples and some miracles, but not so much marketing, read the book.
What I most like about this book, it is a small book with good information. It let you think different.
I got really inspired by this book. Joe Vital did a really good job by telling me what to do in a inspiring and logical way. He also explains how he did experience the steps he went trough. Giving multiple examples helps to understand how the magic works! Must read ☺️
I bought this book because I was looking for a marketing approach that was more spiritually oriented. This book is more like a book for manifesting money. I am familiar with these concepts but wanted something more in the middle, something between traditional and spiritual marketing.
I feel like this book was quickly written with a few personal stories thrown in there. If you look at his other books, they always seem to be selling a quick fix...
That being said, it's good advice but needs to be updated. Some of the books he recommends, like the Bob Proctor books, are out of print.
I've first read this book about 8 years ago and I didn't get most of the things explained. I've re-read it now and oh boy!!! Yess!!!! Joe Vitale does an excellent job summing up everything one needs to do to have a happy, harmonious, successful life. An excellent read!
I was going to read this book, then realised it was the exact same text copied and pasted from The Attractor Factor (what I've already read). Not impressed.
The idea was there, the execution was not. The examples in the book were misleading. For instance because someone had prayed her illness to go away - and when it did, it was attributed to prayers? What was probably omitted was that she had treatment or medicines that help cure her disease. Things like that don't just go away. Maybe if the patient had NO treatments and just stayed home and prayed and it worked - I may slightly believe it. However, I felt like this book tried not to be religious but then ended up being just that! If you mention god in a book - or tell people to have faith and pray - that is as religious as you can get. I think if the author were to promote belief in oneself over the forces of a higher being or as he calls it "the Universe" or god, then it would be more realistic and not so cliche. I just couldn't buy into this junky religious affiliation that incidently also defames the true intent and passion of "marketing" in its purest form.
A great little gem on the manifestation process. It addresses topics like discovering and eliminating negative beliefs, visualizing and fusing your visions with emotion and even how to accept when the Universe does not give you what you want. I love it because it is so concise and can be read in one sitting and the 5 steps applied daily. Powerful stuff.
Joe Vitale is one of the teachers from "The Secret." So, if you liked that movie, "Think and Grow Rich," and "As a Man Thinketh." You should like this book as well. However, I would read all those books before this one.
