After nearly two decades of spiritual searching, I encountered the Akashic Records in 1994, and have been deliberately engaging them for personal growth and consciousness development (for myself and others) ever since! One of the first ideas I explored was accessing the Akasha as an infinite, spiritual resource for empowerment and transformation. At the time, I thought I clearly understood it all. Little did I know, twenty years later, I would continue to mine the riches of the Akashic Records, now recognizing that I’ve only just begun grasping the implications and meanings of “infinite” and, furthermore, may never fully understand it all!

Along the way, I developed my own uniquely inspired curriculum for spiritual growth through the Akasha, using the Records as the sacred dimension of awareness for awakening and aligning with the Soul. Supporting these studies, in 2001 I founded the Linda Howe Center and created the Pathway Prayer Process to Access the Heart of the Akashic Records©. Working with thousands of students over the years – learning more than I ever imagined possible! – I presented my unrivaled, practical approach to the public with my award-winning books, Discover Your Soul’s Path Through the Akashic Records (Hay House, 2015), How to Read the Akashic Records (Sounds True, 2009) and Healing Through the Akashic Records (Sounds True, 2011).

Through these interpretations of reality and developed spiritual practices, I facilitate rich, rewarding, transformative experiences with deeper truths, providing inspired insights and useful resolutions to Life’s challenges. Whether in personal Akashic Records consultations, or in-person or online classes, working in this way provides an opportunity to see your self and life from the perspective of the Soul, empowering living in conscious alignment with authentic truths.

In a variety of venues – including Kripalu Center, Omega Institute, Infinity Foundation, and Daily Om, as well as the Linda Howe Center in Chicago – I can be found providing interesting and impactful perspectives, practices, and protocols to all who seek transformation and enlightenment in this lifetime. In my Extraordinary ordinary life, I reside with my partner of three decades and our son in a Chicago suburb.

I don't even know where to begin. There was so much that was wrong with this book. This has nothing to do with Akashic Records, and is just fluffy, dressed up intuition play (despite its weak protestations) with sides of emotional manipulation ("if you're reading this book, it's because the Lords of the Records called you, 'collect, long distance' and you accepted the charge"). BTW, any records that have feudal "lords" wouldn't be something I want anything to do with.

It was hard to finish the book, and maybe I shouldn't have, but I wanted to give it a chance. But it didn't even get around to explaining things it had mentioned that it would get to later, much less good, solid info that I was looking for about what the Akashic records are, in depth, and how to work with them in a way that isn't just telling yourself what you want to hear. I wish I hadn't wasted my time. I could have been reading about the Akashic Records.

I rated this book with four stars with some reservations. Basically the book is well-organized and clearly written. The author outlines what the Akashic records are all about and how they can be used for oneself as well for others. She describes a well-integrated schema for healing. I think that the companion CD set (if you don't take the course from the author at http://www.akashicstudies.com/) would be a useful way to begin learning to access and use the Akasha. Ordinarily I would follow her directions and go about learning the skills and attitudes described in the book. However I have been enough of a workshop junkie over the years to have finally learned to deepen what I have already been learning rather than to go off on another tangent.

For me, there is a universe we all exist in. People who dwell in this universe have come to their own understanding of how the universe is set up and used--this is the truth as whoever describes it. I believe that there is no absolute truth; instead each person has his or her own truth. This book describes the truth according to one way of reading and accessing the Akashic records. Other books and/or belief systems may describe astrology, Christianity, Islam, science, and so on as a truth. So for me, it doesn't matter what someone follows; what matters is that someone follows with integrity, unconditional acceptance and love.

So if you are looking for a comprehensive healing system to try on for size, check out this book.

The Akashic Records are ”a dimension of consciousness that contains a vibrational record of every soul and its journey”. This body of knowledge contains everything that every soul has ever thought, said and done over the course of its existence.

In this book we are guided to easily access these records both for ourselves and others. We can ask questions and be healed/heal our clients, We use the Pathway Prayer Process, which is part of the “sacred prayer” tradition, to access the Records.

I have not used the process yet myself, since I have not yet purchased the book, but borrowed it from the library, and have now to return it. But I am in no doubt that the process will work.

It is a delightful book with a wonderful, gentle, loving energy. It is written elegantly, clearly and simply – everything you need to do is spelt out. We are assisted by the lords of the Records, the Masters, Teachers and Loved Ones.

The Lords of the Records are a group of Light Beings who work at the Universal level, rather than with individual souls. The Masters are also a group of Light Beings, and like the Lords of the Records have never been in physical bodies. But unlike the Lords, they work with individual souls. “Your particular Masters have been with you since your soul´s conception and are responsible for your soul´s ongoing growth and development.”

The Teachers may or may not have been in physical bodies before, and are not with you throughout your soul´s existence; each one stays with you for as long as it takes you to learn a particular lesson and integrate the consciousness of that Teacher.

The Loved Ones are people you knew in this lifetime who are now deceased, They are committed to your soul´s growth and evolution.

The book provides examples of sessions with clients, whose Akashic Records are opened, and who thus receive guidance.

Information you get from the Records comes from a Divine Consciousness that is beyond and greater than your intuition, so it doesn´t matter whether you consider yourself intuitive or not, though your intuition will get a lot stronger after you´ve been working in the Records for a time.

You can also read the Records of pets, of a home, of a company or of public monuments, buildings, etc.

This is a wonderful little book, and I feel it will benefit my spiritual progress greatly to use it and begin to access my own Akashic Records and those of others (with their permission, of course). I will immediately order the book, since the sooner I get to work with it, the better!

This book was recommended to me by a friend I had intuitive experiences with. She learned how to access Akasha through this book and she gave me a report which really touched me. Some short time later I had the feeling some 'doors' opened, which allowed me to get access to information about others I could not have known in any way. I was intrigued and wanted to learn more.

I was hoping for a book which could teach me how to improve my 'skills' so to say. Learn more about Akasha. However, I was a bit surprised by the following things:

- This book is very, very religious. As someone who said goodbye to Christianity a long time ago, I really struggled with the concept of God, talk about Jesus and prayers.

- According to the writer, you MUST follow the rules to enter Akasha. Actually there is a whole chapter about ground rules! There are preparations to take (things like don't drink, use your legal name, ground yourself), things you aren't allowed to do (collect money for your readings, mix your readings with other systems), which questions to avoid, the list goes on and on.

- To enter Akasha there is, besides the long list of preparations, a whole process too: the opening prayer - things you have to say out loud (a prayer directed to the holy spirit of God, the teachers, etc) and a closing prayer which ends with 3 amens. A whole book filled with strict rules, I was almost losing it.

In short, my thoughts jumped between 'jikkes' and 'seriously?', if I really took the time to write down all the prayers, say them out loud, enter Akasha to get information, the Lords of the Akashic records would probably give me a long speech on how to heal a past life in which I was burned as a witch so Christian books would not longer trigger me. Half kidding here, of course.

But still, I kinda hoped for a book on how to learn more about how to enter Akasha in a very intuitive, more loose way. I think her technique is probably not the only one out there so maybe I'll be able to find a better book out there, which resonates more with my rebel soul.

Going into the Akashic records is fascinating. It gives me a different perspective on what is happening in my life.

Listening to this audio book is a first step for me. I am listening to her second book about healing in the Akashic records. There is a whole world in there and I am excited to continue to learn more about it.

This was my second time through this wonderful book. I have nothing but great respect for Linda Howe. She’s an excellent teacher and extremely thorough and her exclamation of how to use the records. I would highly recommend this to anyone interested in transformational personal growth. The exercises are easy to use and very effective.

I was already familiar with these concepts before reading this book, so they didn't seem so far out there for me. This book is not for everyone and many might think it ridiculous. But personally, I appreciated the authors dedication to spiritual ideas.

Well meaning, but I don't believe this connects people with a "divine" or "universal" level of consciousness or "akashic records," as claimed. It reminds me of a statement by St. John of the Cross:
. . . I am appalled at what happens in these days -- namely, when some soul with the very smallest experience of meditation, if it be conscious of certain locutions of this kind in some state of recollection, at once christens them all as coming from God, and assumes that this is the case, saying: "God said to me . . ."; "God answered me . . ."; whereas it is not so at all, but, as we have said, it is for the most part they who are saying these things to themselves.

And, over and above this, the desire which people have for locutions, and the pleasure which comes to their spirits from them, lead them to make answer to themselves and then to think that it is God Who is answering them and speaking to them. -- Ascent of Mount Carmel, ch. 29, sec. 4-5

This could be the start of something big!

I read this book at the beginning of my journey to the Akasha. It was invaluable in opening the pathways to an incredible journey which ultimately led to living my soul purpose. I am hugely indebted to Linda Howe for providing the roadmap that literally transformed my life. Today I read the records professionally and facilitate transformations for others. It is the most soul satisfying work I have ever found. Don't let the simplicity of this book fool you. It's pure gold.

I read the audio and the physical copy the very weekend that I had a chance to meet Linda Howe. She is a personality and a half and I TRULY appreciate her work and her dedication to this practice. As a regular practitioner, I am SO GRATEFUL for her and all that she has done to bring this practice out into the world.

At the beginning I have some points of view quite different from the author; nevertheless when reading the rest of the book I started having a sense of peace and relax (just for reading). Still recommend this topic for those interested, even if you have any previous knowledge or you are new.

I’ve heard the akashic records mentioned I few times, particularly by people who have had Out of Body experiences (such as Near Death Experiences and Astral Projection).

This book clearly and succinctly helped me to understand what the Akashic records are and it’s purpose.

It also instructs you in how to access the records for yourself or others. I don’t know if it works lol but it’s interesting to try anyway.

I’d read this book again.

"No matter how thin you slice it, it's still baloney." (Bloom County)

One of the books that made me realize that there are no gods, no goddesses, no life after death and no "magick." Now I'm an atheist. Seriously -- how can anyone with an ounce of common sense believe this stuff?

I haven't done the exercises yet, or said the prayer so I don't know if this works just from reading a book. I'll try though. The one thing I don't like is all the talk of Gd. If she used Source or Creator it would make it more palatable for me. I do appreciate the sharing of information.

This is an easily readable, accessible book for the most part. It could be a little more "functionality" organized, but that's a preference more than a complaint. Interesting food for thought, I'm still deciding if I'm ready to make an attempt at this or not, but I'm glad I have the resource.

Discover Your Path and Purpose

Linda Howe’s manual of instruction is inspirational and easy to follow and put into practice. Her warmth and sincere desire to teach how to access the Akashic Records shines through on every page. Each one of us is able to access them. It is that simple, and that profound.

It's a great book; covers the main topics and questions on the subject. The method developed by the author is also simple, but an effective gateway to the akashic records. I found it enlightening and recommend reading it.

As a hypnotherapist and shamanic teacher and student I had high hopes for the presentation of this material. In this New Age of techniques and energies coming into the planet, the myriad information about the Akashic Records can be confusing to novices and even veteran students. I went into this book excitedly seeking a different approach to the Records. While Howe clearly demonstrates her own experiences using the Records for herself and others, I remain unconvinced that this is a solid text for new Akashic students. Howe created an instructional CD based on this same material, so perhaps the book is more useful when paired with the CD.

Howe begins the book by sharing her personal experience, not only with the Akashic Records, but with the powerful spiritual awakenings she had along the way. From that wonderful voice I was very excited to read her account of the Records. The more I read, the more formulaic the writing became, thus her voice was not as prevalent, and the delivery of information became clinical. That change in voice influenced my connection to the material. Howe's understanding that clients must participate in their healing process is spot-on, as is her explanation of shifts of consciousness and emphasis on the need for grounding rituals entering into and departing from healing work. Her reliance on facets of the ritual being the exact same for everyone every time is more Piscean than I am accustomed. I respect that she is presenting a method as it has revealed itself to her, but relaying an artful modality as concrete can result in creating distance more than revealing opportunity. Ultimately that can only be discerned by individuals as they work with the material. I would like to have seen more writing dedicated to the Records, themselves, more examples of what is found in them and how that information can be used to enhance how one lives.

Howe's explanation of the Records is by far the most approachable one I've ever read and is beneficial for all readers; however, I do not recommend the book alone for beginners of trance work or of the Records, themselves.

Truly an Inspiring Journey to Access the Akashic Records

From start to finish, I was entranced and aligned with Linda's vision of the Akashic Records. When I read some of her experiences from the book, it felt like I was sitting in her office remotely. Somehow attached to the reading she shared while listening to her guidance.

While I have taken note for myself the many ways others have taught the Akashic Records, Linda has a remarkably elegent way of teaching that calls inner meaning from within. Her Pathway Prayer process still holds a firm foundation for my work with others.

This book has lead me to read others by her over the years, and I still find the wisdom to follow impeccable timing with my personal progress. It's as if Linda's work is Univerally prescribed to my seeking spirit.

5 stars isn't enough to say how much I recommend this book and her work.

Not sure what I expected, but I was hoping to understand more about what the Akashic records actually are.

I listened to this book, and I would say it is more like several guided medtations, which requires more effort than I was willing to put in. I did some of the earlier ones, but it felt inauthentic to continue to participate.

I am also having trouble with a few tenets of the practice, one of which is a very prescribed opening and closing "prayer." I am just not that convinced that saying something (a la "open sesame") magically opens the records. My sense is that you need to be in a certain frame of mind or in a meditative state of openness or greatfulness.

Would love to read more about the Akashic records, maybe from more of a scientific POV. I can understand why people would like this book. Just not for me.

Linda Howe gifts us with an incredibly straight forward yet equally insightful look at our own spiritual authority. We are the generation to bridge the light, and she gives simple step by step instructions on how to do so. I have experienced the akashic records through a relative for the past several years which has inspired unsurmountable growth and clarity in my journey yet I had this feeling that it's only the beginning. I knew the time was near that I stop relying on a secondary source and find the tools and practices to connect with the wisdom available to me - on my own!

This book is the launching pad for exactly that. I have put her pathway prayer process into practice and there was instantly an undeniable shift in consciousness, if ever so slightly. I know I have a long way to go in working with the records, but I am grateful for this instigation onto the path.

Hmmm...
I was really interested in reading this book...both the whole pathway prayer and these strict guidelines seemed unnatural.
This book was also very “ Christian” which I found off putting. I did give it a go, and it worked but...it caused more tension then peace each time I had to opened the records.
I hadn’t realized, but I had been accessing the Akashic records for years now...and I just saw this book as a reminder to always trust my intuition and that the records are within me...no need to do silly prayers.

Most of the reviews are either all bad or all good so I’ll try to be objective. I liked it but, it was repetitive on several occasions. I liked the initial chapters but the middle section is tedious and text book style. Regarding the Akasha…I’d already accessed it prior to reading this book so, I had my own experience. The prayer works but keep in mind that if the prayer and the guidelines stated on this book don’t feel right for you, you can just leave it and try something that fits you. As with anything in life, take what works and leave what doesn’t.

The first book I've read on this specific topic; I followed the precise directions recommended by the author and her method did work for me. There are too many autobiographical anecdotes peppered throughout the text, but I plan to investigate the Records through other resources, and am glad that this book came to me as a gift from a good friend. Would recommend it as a "primer" for those with experience in the discipline of meditation.
