This is a very interesting book to explore morality and the different belief systems in general. Eventhough intially came into this book wanting to learn more about what Christians believe in, it gives more of a broad overview of morality, so it is accessible to everybody.
My favourite part was the exploration of where morality comes from - reason, emotions and egoism. Ah I wish that I did philosophy A level. Anyhow, the book explained the arguments and the shortfalls for all of the theories. Which made me think of which one I believe in. Personally, I think that feelings where morality comes from, but that is obviously my feeling. Basically, the view argues that morality comes from how we feel about something and that morality isn't factual as it is purely an expression of how we feel about something. Therefore, everybody has a different moral view, so it is subjective and there is ultimately no real morality ( like does it even truly exist if there is no way to define it).
Additionally, the book showed how to apply the moral method to real moral situations - abortion and euthanasia. This was interesting to me, as it showed all of the sides of the argument and covered how this choice would impact others. This allowed me to be more open minded, and I hope that I use the teachings of this book in the future, even though it does say that it is rare that a person has to make a moral decision. Also, abortion and euthanasia are about life and death, so it also a question of philosophy - when is somebody a person? ;when is somebody born?; and when does somebody die?
So yeah, if you want to read ts book lmk - so I can borrow it for you from my scl library ( purple heart emoji)

Es un buen libro sobre ética y decisiones éticas. El procedimiento que propone es útil. La debilidad es que es un libro escrito en 1983 y los ejemplos están un poco obsoletos

A conservative Protestant Christian's way of exploring Christian Ethics. Useful for Post 16 Ethics courses to show one of the approahes by Christians to moral dilemmas. But not essential.
