this was a good book that has some interesting information. it does not flow smoothly all the way through. there are some rough patches here and there for the continuation of reading however it does have a good basic layout for the more common layout of end times theories. it would not be my go to book or top tier list of recommendations.

I have read many books on eschatology but Charles Capps delves deeply into the prophetic passages throughout the bible. He shines a light on the Genesis story in the Garden and relates the prophetic nature of it. He does the same with the passages about Abraham and the blood covenant. The author also uses the scriptural passages about the miracle of the manna, the escape from Sodom and Gomorrah, the time of Joshua's leadership, the rapture of Enoch, the sojourn of Jonah, the Resurrection of Lazarus, and Jesus' Resurrection, the appearance of Elijah and Moses at the Transfiguration, and the appearance of the two witnesses' to show the prophetic teachings throughout the Bible, This was very enlightening to me. Mr. Capps also exhorts the believer to be prepared for the Rapture and Return of Christ. I found the section on the 'end of the world' ('the end of the church age') quite revealing and comprehensive. It is knowing the sequence of required prophetic events that believers can be comforted that God is in control of all - even the end days. While I do agree on the author's 'Pre-Trib belief and the 'elect' being the 144,000 anointed Jewish men, I disagree with the attack from the north including Russia, Mr. Capps' teaching is sound. Overall, the author is on target in his teaching and exhortations. He reveals truths about the jubilee and the meaning behind the high priests' appointments, the temple's dimensions, and the Jewish holidays. The author gives us the signs of the coming without setting the day of the Rapture. One of the biblical stories that the author focuses the significance of numerics is the incident of Jesus and the demoniac as it relates to the end of the 'age of man' and the judgement of Satan. This and other examples are the caliber of in-depth teaching that I desire and wished was more common. The 'end times' should not be ominous rather telling of the Lord's eternal and perfect plan. The author ends the book with a warning not to listen to 'Rapture date-setters' and guidance to those who read this book before or after the Rapture & Tribulation. You will find this book is a riveting read and many of the sections will remain in your heart and mind long after you finish reading this Holy Spirit-inspired book.

Read and be informed!

I have found this book, and I have read through it twice now, to be extremely eye-opening. If you have studied the prophetic Word, you will find much fresh insight here. If you have studied the prophetic scriptures, this would be an excellent place to start.

Very informative regarding the events of the end time. The author speaks with clarity on the subject and was easy to understand.
