Pish and Posh are best friends, but they are very different. One day, someone leaves an interesting book on their doorstep. It is called "The Fairy Handbook". Posh thinks it would be a good idea to become fairies, Pish does not. It's Posh's turn to do the dishes, and instead of doing all of that work, she uses a spell from the fairy book instead. Something goes wrong with the spell, and water and suds end up all over the floor! Pish makes Posh promise not to use the fairy book anymore, but Posh can't resist! She tries some more spells, but they never end up quite right!
The relationship between the two characters in this story was kind of odd. They look like they could be sisters, but it says that they are best friends. Pish is much taller and older looking than Posh, and she tells Posh what to do. She tells her to go to bed, to do the dishes, and to stop using the fairy book.
This is an entertaining story about two magical best friends (who happen to look like sisters or perhaps mother and daughter.) The story is quite strange and silly and the illustrations are a bit rough for my taste, but it was still a fun story to read aloud and we enjoyed reading it together.
