This ebook features an illustrated biography of Suzanne Forster including rare photos from the author’s personal collection.
New York Times and USA Today best-selling author Suzanne Forster is living proof of William Shakespeare’s maxim that the uses of adversity are sweet. Suzanne’s writing career began by accident. Literally. A car accident ended her dreams for a career in clinical psychology. During her recovery, she began writing to fill the hours, and before she was well enough to return to graduate school, she’d sold her first book and launched a new career. Since then Suzanne has written more than thirty novels and been the recipient of countless awards, including The National Readers’ Choice Award for Shameless, her mainstream debut. She’s received recognition for outstanding sales from Waldenbooks and Bookrak, and her recent novel, Unfinished Business, was made into a movie for the Oxygen Network. Suzanne has a Master’s Degree in Writing Popular Fiction, and she teaches and lectures frequently. Her seminars on Women's Contemporary Fiction at UCLA and UC Riverside were rated outstanding, and her most requested workshop, "The High-Concept Synopsis," is based on personal experience. Her breakout novel, Shameless, sold on a synopsis that triggered a bidding war and garnered her a six-figure contract. Suzanne has received considerable media attention, including a feature segment on Extra, NBC's news and entertainment magazine, and an Emmy Award–winning "Special Report" on CBS Channel 23 News. Her many print appearances include the L.A. Times, the Philadelphia Inquirer, Redbook and Orange Coast Magazine

While I was put off by Edwina’s almost ridiculous level of responsiveness to Diablo, I couldn’t help but enjoy the whole “Good Girl Meets Bad Boy” vibe of the entire story. Watching Edwina finally take a walk on the wild side was exhilarating, and I couldn’t wait to see the two of them get their HEA, no matter what obstacles lay before them.
In the end, I think that Edwina’s weakness when it came to her attraction to Diablo was rather detrimental to the story. As this is a reissue of a story originally published in 1990, it certainly fit with the vibe of the times, but I personally prefer that my heroines be able to control their hormones a little bit better.
Fans of older contemporary romances, or of the types of heroines who typically grace the pages of Category Romances will very likely adore Edwina. For me, however, I believe I was simply in the mood for a different category of heroine when I picked this up, and my final rating reflects this.
Overall, it was still an entertaining read, with not only quite a bit of delicious sexual tension, but also a surprising amount of action and mystery.
The Devil and Ms. Moody by Suzanne Forster is a contemporary romance just released as an e-book by Open Road Integrated Media, but was originally published in 1990. This is a story that seems to be the simply good girl falling for a bad boy, but there is more involved in this tale. Edwina Moody is the quintessential good girl. She has given up her dreams, her future, her education in order to save her family from financial difficulties when her father runs off leaving nothing but debt and hurt behind. To earn the much needed money Edwina works to find heirs to let them know of the death and the inheritance that will affect them. In desperation for a larger amount of money Edwina gets a tough assignment, finding an heir that seems to have become a biker. Her search puts Edwin in danger, and directly in the path of the dangerously attractive Diablo. His honor drives Diablo to protect Edwina, but he cannot risk his place in the Warlord biker gang. The pair strikes a precarious partnership, and set off on a journey neither will forget.
This book is surprisingly deceptive. You expect something light and instead end up with something deep and meaningful. Edwina Moody is finder. She's undergone a career change to support her mother and younger sister after her father disappears from their lives. Her current job is to find Chris Holt, who disappeared from home 20 years ago. If she can find him, the finders fee will allow her to save her family home from being foreclosed on. She enlists the help of a biker named Diablo to find Chris Holt, and is taken on the ride of her life.
