Can't believe I'm the first to review this book. Oh well I AM a NZer and she is an NZ author. I found it a bit slow going at times but I must have liked it enough to try and find some earlier books by the same author. I want to get to know the back story behind the characters - there were plenty of gaps here - perhaps I should read them in order! Although story is set in the US I could hear the characters talking as NZers - they used expressions I doubt americans would use. Not sure if I like the 'ghosts' - is this a common thread.
