Covers the basics of MS Excel Pivots succinctly enough.

I have some experience of MS Excel and so there's not much here that's new to me, for which I was glad. Without prior experience I would have struggled. The screenshots don't always match up with the text and the text is sometimes a little short on depth. That said, if you are new to this then it should give you an adequate intro to the subject provided you download the worksheets from the author's website (assuming they are still available).

My advice is: if you're new to the subject, don't go into this book without MS Excel in front of you. This isn't something you can read whilst walking around a lake. Well, it is, but you won't learn effectively.

Sometimes I feel like I need to be a rocket scientist to use any aspect of Microsoft Excel. This short book is a good reference when building pivot tables. I recommend you read the entire book before attempting your first pivot table, and then proceed step-by-step.

I think this is a pretty decent book that it covers it in depth. I wish I had this when I attempted my first one; as it is, I felt like a newbie when I read this book again, so take that in to consideration. If you are a newbie to pivot tables, or if you just want to learn more about pivot tables, this might be a good book to reference and/or use.

One or two typos; but they were only upper/lower case and run-on sentence variety, and would not affect understanding of how to create pivot tables.

Three stars.
