I got this book in a book sale we had at work, it's not the type of book I'd usually read but I thoroughly enjoyed it. Normally I would be put off by the long chapters but I couldn't put it down.
Loved the story was captivated right through to end of book. Just couldn't put it down.Another Author added to my favourite list. Will be reading all of her books now. Thank you Teresa my friend for recommending them to me.

This is a book set in the 1930's about a family staying together after the death of their beloved mother. With an elderly grandmother to care for as well as her brother and sisters Aida Nelson tries to keep the family together by making ends meet. It is a story of courage, strength and determination. It reminds me of my mother's struggles as a single mum.
