After patiently waiting years for a proposal, Slone Madison is shocked to find that her boyfriend’s surprise party is far from anything she had expected. She decides it’s time to end their relationship and take that long-awaited vacation by herself, one she’d been promised for a long time. Little did she know her week of paradise would lead her on a whirlwind path with Derek Billings, a famous actor who is figuring out his next career move and future as his ex has made destroying him her newfound mission – unless, of course, he would be willing to take her back. Slone wouldn’t have thought a last-minute vacation could turn into the never-ending web of lies and surprises that she finds herself in back home. Although, her actual home was subleased by her ex-boyfriend, Brad Roberts, without her even knowing. Forced to return his calls and visit him in the city to retrieve her belongings, she must face the situation she had tried to leave behind. Realizing how much Slone means to him and determined to win her heart again, Brad is thankful when she shows up on his doorstep. He’s ready to give her what she always wanted and is hoping to get their life back to normal, but he wasn’t ready to face new obstacles when he discovers his favorite celebrity now has his eyes on her as well. How much can one week impact a person? Brad has no intentions of letting Slone find out. Meanwhile, Derek must find a way to navigate his next career move, his ex’s vendetta, and avoid further headlines, while trying to forget about the most memorable woman and trip of his life. When anything can happen, to what lengths will they go to secure their future? How much can change? And what are they willing to sacrifice?

Such a great read! These characters drew me in immediately and wouldn't let go. I was cheering Slone on every step of the way. Miscommunication is the name of the game folks. Yup that one tiny word starts the ball rolling where three lives may be forever changed. Two very disillusioned souls randomly meet at very low moments in their lives. I loved watching Slone truly come alive ✨. This phoenix rising from the ashes of her recent relationship woes has learned a few lessons. She's also not going to let anyone dull her shine. Relationships can be tricky, so don't expect everything to be easy peasy...and that just makes this that much more delish. I highly suggest grabbing a pint of ice cream, or your fave beverage of choice and get comfy 😉. This is truly worth the read! An emotion filled ride, with a wonderful FMC at the heart of it all- this reader couldn't wait to see what was happening next with the turn of each page! These characters now hold a special place in my heart ❤. Two very enthusiastic thumbs up!!!
This was a wonderful introduction for me to a new author. The story captured my attention from the very start and kept my interest all the way through. The characters really drew me in and I found myself rooting for Slone all the way through. Three lives are affected, and miscommunication plays a big part in it. Seeing that her relationship with Brad is not going anywhere, she ends things with him and decides to go on a much needed vacation where she meets Derek. Both being at a low point in their lives, they connect with each other. But back home, Brad is realizing his mistake and wants Slone back. But relationships are not easy and someone is bound to get hurt. The story will take you on an emotional ride and keep you turning the pages to find out what happens next. An entertaining read! I received a complimentary copy from StoryOrigin and am voluntarily leaving my review.
I really liked the FMC in this book. I found her very relatable and enjoyed her journey throughout the story. Her boyfriend was a truly terrible human being and got exactly what he deserved. I did really like the main love interest in the story and felt he was a much better fit with the FMC. I would have rated this book much higher, but the audio was AI generated and truly awful! It was a word mix of an almost realistic human voice with dreadful words pronunciations and out of place pauses. It was quite distracting.
“Where Did It Go Right” by Bella Perry is everything you want in a vacation rom-com read! Crazy exes, flying off to Mexico, a sassy best friend, celebrity romance, and of course some spice! I really enjoyed this multiple POV novel (not usually my thing) but I really liked being able to delve into the minds of all of the characters. I loved Slone and Derek’s banter, and their romantic chemistry. This book is available on Kindle Unlimited too! Excuse my while I go download the next in series!
As an entrepreneur, the titles I read tend to be on the Business and Learning side of publishing. So it was refreshing to step away from my typical reads and find something by a new author and a title to just enjoy. This, Where Did It Go Right, was a great book and exactly the kind of book I was hoping to find and enjoy. Looking forward to adding this author to my future reads list.
3.5 stars. This book started out strong, but our main couple had me banging my head on the wall. Neither seemed to want to do anything to help themselves or deal with external issues. It made the book very frustrating to read. The ending was sweet. Overall, an ok story. * I received an ARC of this book form Story Origin and this is my voluntary and honest review.
I truly enjoyed this book. It had a wonderful story line, and took the time to describe each character. The romance was everything I hoped it would be. Very glad that it was not a short book, or novella. It allowed me to become caught up in the plot and enjoy many hours of reading. I will definitely be reading more future author!
This was a good novel but there was a lot of information that could have been omitted in my opinion. I did like the main character and love interest now their ex’s honestly are the worst in my opinion. Other than that I didn’t really enjoy hearing it much since it was narrated by Google and sounded robotic most of the time and lacking that passion you get with voice actors.
Absolutely loved every second of this book! I was immediately emotionally invested in the main characters. It takes a lot for a book to make me cry and even more to make me laugh out loud, this one did both over and over again!
There are like 17 POVs in this book. Suddenly it just switches to the flight attendant or other random person in the scene as the narrator before going back to the main character. Very poor writing.
Such a cute and romantic book. Slone and Derek were cute and had a great love story. This book was all about standing up for yourself and not settling.
