The beauty of your life is that nobody can live it for you. So why have you been given this singular treasure, and what will you do with it? To help you answer that question, Michael Bernard Beckwith presents an essential companion for anyone wishing to accelerate their spiritual evolution.
Michael Bernard Beckwith is a New Thought minister, author, and founder and spiritual director of the Agape International Spiritual Center in Beverly Hills, California.
These books are kind of embarrassing to show the world that you’re reading, especially when he uses words like “blissipline “ to describe meditation. But fuck it. I’m getting a lot of peace and comfort from reading them while I walk among the trees and flowers on these insane spring days, so why hide it from you guys
Michael Bernard Beckwith is a great teacher. If you want to know the difference between visualization and visioning then this book is for you. There is a difference between the two. If you want to continue learning the process of the Law of Manifestation or the Law of Attraction then this is the book for you. The object of these laws is to set apart and quit seeking "stuff" and seeking your life purpose. Beckwith teaches the Life Visioning Process to assist in learning how to see and communicate with your authentic self, or sacred witness.
The book is well written, and easily gives you the information needed to teach you the Life Visioning Process.
There's no doubt that Beckwith's life-visioning process is a powerful spiritual technology for those who come to it with sufficient experience and spiritual training to be able to take advantage of it. There's work to be done to get to that point, and although Beckwith overviews the process of preparation, there's little devoted to the actual how-to of getting to that starting point for visioning. For beginners, this would be a beneficial addition. For the advanced student, the material here on building on each visioning session successively to do deeper is quite useful.
He is another level of thinking; I liked what he had to say about the universe trying to push you past your comfort level into something or somewhere greater. There was several other things he talked about that was helpful, but I don’t want to do any spoilers. He was very real and open. That can be difficult when we live in a world that judges everything and everyone. I just read it again this week.
Excellent book on how to go forward with spiritual develop and finding you lives purpose. we are spiritual beings in a human body, not egotistical beings in a body looking for spiritualism. this states the levels of consciousness and you can identify where you are in your journey of life....
This book will help anyone who is on a spiritual journey. Anyone who is searching for deeper meaning in life will find mini revelations in each chapter.
Even though I don’t agree with everything that Michael Bernard Beckwith espouses, his compassionate and gentle but firm approach to self-help makes him truly inspiring for those who want to improve their lives. If you can’t go to one of his uplifting lectures, and don’t want to spend time watching his youtube vids, the Life Visioning audiobook is the way to go. Beckwith’s gentle yet expressive voice is comforting and motivating, and he explains and reiterates his concepts and methods enough for them to sink in, even in audiobook form. If you’ve never heard him speak, and are into self-help, go ahead and treat yourself.
There are many opportunities in the audiobook to examine your own life through meditation and journaling. Depending on what “stage” you’re at (as described in the book), you can choose whether or not to do the preliminary exercises. The method itself consists of 7 steps, and you will want to refer to the book for directions and guidance: (1) heart/love-based meditation, (2) present your question, (3) ask what you must become, (4) ask what must you release, (5) ask what resources you already possess, (6) say YES, (7) give thanks. The key is to repeat the method at regular intervals to learn more about your question; as you progress along the path the answers might change, become clearer, or fill in with details.
So what don’t I agree with in Beckwith’s philosophy? Personally, I don’t think that a “dark night of the soul” is ever beneficial, though sometimes it is unavoidable, for example as a result of losing a loved one. I do appreciate Beckwith’s support of those who experience such “dark nights.” I also don’t believe that we have one predestined life purpose, something that “God” or “source” wants us to do with our lives. Though his use of the method is to find people’s life purposes, this does not at all invalidate his method for me. The method also works for such questions as, “what is the best thing to do with my life right now,” or “how can I approach this situation/collaboration/challenge successfully.” I’ve found that even if I get just one answer from one of the steps, that answer is exactly what I need to move forward.
If you’re a spiritual seeker, or want to use an easy method to answer a life path or other burning question that your mind keeps asking without fully answering, check out Michael Beckwith’s Life Visioning.
I recently purchased 'Life Visioning' by Michael Bernard Beckwith while taking a visioning class through Centers for Spiritual Living, and I found the book to be incredibly helpful in deepening my understanding of the concepts I was learning. Beckwith's approach to spiritual growth and self-discovery through visioning is both practical and empowering, and I would highly recommend this book to anyone looking to tap into their intuition for guidance.
Throughout the book, Beckwith offers a step-by-step process for discovering your life vision and aligning your thoughts, feelings, and actions with your deepest desires. He also provides numerous examples and exercises to help readers integrate these practices into their daily lives. What sets this book apart is Beckwith's ability to communicate complex spiritual concepts in a clear and accessible way, making it easy for readers of all backgrounds and levels of experience to benefit from his teachings.
Overall, I found 'Life Visioning' to be a transformative and inspiring read, and I believe it has the potential to help readers unlock their full potential and create a life of purpose and fulfillment. If you're looking for practical guidance on how to connect with your intuition and manifest your dreams, this book is definitely worth checking out.
64. I'm sure he has the greatest of intentions. Uh I've heard this same stuff though from different people and it's in pieces and probably the exact same messaging actually.
Uh, from multiple different people. So once you've heard it, Like eight times. It's like okay yeah I get it. Cool. Uh, I'm sure he has the best of intentions, but
I just get to some point where I'm like, cool. I'm glad that you're being a cool person.
I guess I don't really need to be here hearing about you being a cool person though.
You know, it's great. They reach out to a tons of people and Inspire them to be greatness and believe in themselves and
Teach people through Christianity about spirituality and uh, even a little bit about science, even though that was kind of misleading, man.
Another great book about using your imagination, prayer or meditation, and action to create your life. My favorite part about what Rev. Beck with does differently from other ‘manifesting’ authors, is he gives the reader action steps. He actually SHOWS you how to do what he and his friends did to create Agape Fellowship in California.
He also isn’t long-winded, filling up pages with worthless or repetitive information.
Book is okay, nothing special, but not bad. It's quick and casual read/listen. Stuff in it is something you probably already heard before if you read some similar books, basic tips, but still good. Don't expect any life changing info or something you haven't heard already. I enjoyed it even tho what he says I heard already, but it's nothing special really.
Michael Bernard Beckwith taught Life Visioning in refreshingly simple way. His words and message are inspiring reminding us we are loved and nothing can hinder our moving into our highest and best life.
This is a mindfulness read that provides a template for mediating on your life's purpose and life's meaning. The author has a spiritual center in LA where these methods are taught.
Step by step, I enjoyed learning steps and techniques for life visioning and purpose. A constant reminder to leave sticky notes around. Keep the mind focused on the main purpose. Not letting the devil win over my thoughts.
This was a hard one to get into, but I’m interested in reading more by Beckwith. This is probably a good introduction to the meditative process called Life Visioning, but I didn’t really feel impacted by the message.
