Connirae Andreas, PhD is an international leader in the field of personal development of more than four decades. She is best known for her groundbreaking work developing Core Transformation, a method through which our limitations become the doorway to a felt experience many describe "love" "peace" "presence" or "oneness." Through the steps of the process, this felt experience offers a profound healing resolving many limiting emotions and behaviors. Connirae's new Wholeness Work offers a precise way to experience "dissolving the ego" in a way that resolves our life issues and goes even further in a gentle yet systematic process of evolving or awakening. Her work is strongly influenced by her personal experience with the late Dr. Milton H. Erickson, and has been translated into over 15 languages. Connirae is the author or co-author of many books and Trainer manuals in personal development and transformation, including Heart of the Mind, Change Your Mind--and Keep the Change (co-authored with husband Steve Andreas), and Core Transformation: reaching the Wellspring Within (co-authored with Tamara Andreas), and Coming to Wholeness: how to Awaken and Live with Ease. To support quality trainings becoming more widely available, she has developed in-depth Trainer Materials for key trainings, including Core Transformation and the new Wholeness Work. Before her work developing Core Transformation and Wholeness Work, Connirae was a developer in the field of NLP, her work including innovations in language patterns and conversational change, contributions to positive parenting methods, to natural self-healing, and (with Steve Andreas) developing effective change protocols for resolving grief, for tapping into how we unconsciously code the experience of time, and more. The Andreases authored manuals for teaching in-depth Practitioner and Master Practitioner NLP programs oriented towards coaching and personal transformation. Connirae lives in Boulder, Colorado, and enjoys visits with her grandchildren.
Asmeniškai man ši knyga atnešė nemažai žinių, rekomenduoju. 👌🏼
This book was disappointing, or maybe it's simply not the book for me. It gives a lot of examples of people who benifits from NLP: of each case we know the problem followed by the healing session. There is no theoretical approach at all, and even if it's true that you can extrapolate the theory from ita pratical application, it's also true that sometimes a better explanation of what's going on would have helped. I think this is a big fawl of the book, that's why I am giving it one star. I am reading this book after "NLP The new technology of achievement", which I consider definetely a better book for people who really want to approach NLP.
This is the first book that I purchased for my new Kindle and it was an interesting experience reading on the screen rather than in paper form. I found myself wanting to jump back to the contents continually and being unable to do it easily with the Kindle. Another drawbook is that it isn’t really clear how much of the book or the current chapter remains unread. Although there is a progress bar which shows the percentage you have read through the book and the remaining number of electronic pages, it is certainly not as intuitive as feeling the pages. Still, the ease of carrying the Kindle everywhere is definitely a great feature and it allowed me to read this book much more quickly than if I were relying on the paper version.
And onto the review of the book (rather than the Kindle)…
The content of this book is best described by listing the actual chapter titles which are precise descriptions of each chapter.
* Overcoming stage fright * Learning to spell * Becoming more independent * Healing traumas * Eliminating allergic responses * Responding resourcefully to criticism * Parenting positively * Asserting yourself respectfully * Resolving grief * The naturally slender eating strategy * Resolving internal conflict * Recovering from shame * Positive motivation * Making decisions * Dealing with disaster * Intimacy, safety, and violence * Personal timelines * Engaging your body’s natural ability to heal * Knowing what you want
These chapter titles read like a list of NLP applications and do highlight that this book is very much about applied NLP rather than a theoretical approach. Each chapter has several clearly described case studies which illustrate how the authors were able to help the people in that particular area.
Most chapters also give clear instructions for carrying out the relevant processes and even someone who was unfamiliar with NLP could gain a lot from following the instructions.
What I enjoyed most about this book were the case studies which gave much fuller insight into the realities of using NLP processes than most NLP books. I also enjoyed the authors’ honesty in admitting their own failures as well as their own successes, and how these failures eventually led to success by causing a rethink. PrintFriendly
This is a wonderful and very inspiring book to have added to my library. It delves into parts of ourselves that we do not often explore with great strategies to lift us from troublesome thinking. Thoroughly enjoyed reading this book and testing out some of the appropriate exercises.
Don't be mistaken bu the antiquity of this book. It's packed with amazing, step by step tecniques, well explained, accompanied by various examples. And if that's not enough - the book contains so many techniques for so many difficulties -descision making, parts work, loaing weight and so much more. Can't recommend highly enough.

Introduction on how to use NLP techniques for dealing with mental issues and physical issues. Little bit disappointing that so much content is dedicated for describing personal stories of people for whom authors helped. This gives feeling that you are reading some romance instead of scientific content.
Overall, this is a pretty good book for lay readers and practitioners alike. While it shows many processes and is helpful to a practitioner, the text itself seems to be directed more toward a lay audience and attempting to describe all the good that NLP can do. In other words, practitioners will like this book as a quick goto guide that quickly explains processes to jog your memory. Whereas anyone new to NLP will likely have issues doing a few of the processes because they neglect to cover fundamentals like submodalities, which must be properly elicited to make the processes work right. While they talk around things like submodalities in the case studies, unless your mind works just like the case study participants (highly unlikely), you probably won't be able to get the patterns to work right. However, because of its breadth, it's still a good book for a layperson interested in NLP--particularly on an intellectual level--and for NLP practitioners (in that regard, it's really a great book because it offers someone so many options to explore).
