A fairly comprehensive political manifesto. The key difference between Bakunin and other libertarians is that autonomous communes in federation replace the state rather than individual proprietors or private covenant communities. The USSR however was supposed to be governed by Soviets and even had a constitutional right of secession that nonetheless depended on the legal process controlled by the party so can’t be a top down thing.

Fascinating read on the idea of a world revolution. If you want to understand the European revolts of 1848 from one of its writers and advocates, I would suggest this short read. Though the translation to English is rather cumbersome, the author's writing and ideas are clear and to the point.

Mikhail Bakunin introduces his prescription for a revolution. He is an anarcho-syndicalist who believes States should be abolished in favor of communes.
While his anarcho-syndicalism is well expounded, he speaks of liberty too often. The liberty of communes to decide how they organize and govern themselves without any outside interference. Of course this doesn't mean that a commune could organize in a non-syndicalist fashion; violence is not off the table.
A decent read about his theories.
