Cyril saves Lauren just as she's about to jump in front of a subway train and the biggest obstacle in their blossoming relationship is 'will his monster penis fit?'
Also, with this quote I kept picturing some Heinz condiments...

This story, although short, is packed with gut-wrenching emotions that I could connect to. The story is a very powerful one of pain being rescued by an angel. It is one of survival, of love and of wanted to be loved as well. I really dove into this book not really knowing what I was getting myself into, but more than happy that I did.
If you want to read this story, know that it is a tear-jerker. You will need a box of kleenex for this one, I know I did need it myself.
The scenes are emotional, loving and, let's not hid it, quite hot. It will leave your toes curled, no doubt.
Red Phoenix sure knows how to play with the emotions of her readers. She is a master at it, even if her heart is one of a submissive, she does master the art of emotional connection with her readers to perfection.
If you want to read this story, know that it is a tear-jerker. You will need a box of kleenex for this one, I know I did need it myself.

And Then He Saved Me from falling, no jumping in front of a train to become her everything. This unlikely couple find contentment and happiness together against all odds. This is a wonderful love story.

This was a quick read. I would rate it 3.5 stars if possible. Twenty-one year old Lauren lost her mother, her only remaining relative, to cancer six months earlier. Alone in the world, she wanted to kill herself after being accused wrongly at work and being fired.
Thirty-three year old Cyril was lonely. He had noticed Lauren in the subway before, but this night something was wrong. When it looked like Lauren was about to throw herself in front of a train, he stepped in. He stuck by her side, refusing to allow her to leave him unless she called someone that would come get her from him. The pair goes to Cyril's apartment, where they learn that they are made for one another.

This story started out with a young lady wanting to end her painful life. But thank the angels, one was standing close enough to save her.
Although this story was about ending life, it was also about finding the true meaning of yours. It was a short and sweet story that had the HEA we all enjoy reading about.

I enjoyed this book. It's one of those where you want a quick story with really good smut scenes and that's what this gives. It's not for everyone but it's definitely for me.

This definitely had potential to be more, but it wasn't long enough, the story was rushed. That's actually too bad
Lauren is standing on he platform waiting for the last train to come and end her day, or life. After trying hard to overcome her mothers recent death, being fired from work, and not being able to finish college, she's had enough. Alone and desperate to ease the pain, Lauren is eager to finish this life.
Cyril has watched her catch the train for a while now. Always focused and concentrating on her thoughts, she seemed so put together. So when he notices that on this evening she is too close to the edge of the platform he saves her. Cyril is determined to make sure she's safe from hurting herself so he brings her to his home. It doesn't hurt that he's also lonely and in need of companionship.
Despite the 10 plus year age difference Cyril feels a connection to Lauren, a need to care for her and keep her safe. He expresses concern and is able to get Lauren to share her feelings (open up). This emotional connection added to the physical chemistry they share sparks some seriously hot sex (considering the circumstances).
After an all night pleasure fest and unloading their emotional baggage they awake feeling refreshed and ready for a new day, a new life. Lauren expresses her love for Cyril and he returns the sentiment.
The Best Thing:
The story was good. I liked that Cyril was an older hard working man just recently pained from a past relationship, but wanted to help heal Lauren's pain.
The worst thing:
Man I wish the book didn't end with Lauren and Cyril jumping to the 'I love you' phrase. I loved this short book a lot. I didn't get caught up on the few little details like how tall Cyril is, and there wasn't enough story to explain his pain. The story was mostly all about Lauren. I actually teared up at the end when she thought about her mom and where her life should go from here on out. Thank goodness Cyril saved Lauren. Now we need a story about how Lauren will save Cyril. I can see a lot of potential for a good LONG Novel or a few short Novellas because of his big family generally and the conflict from his brother specifically. I have really enjoyed the books I've read by Red Phoenix, so far 6 books all 5 stars to me. I will be keeping an eye on this author from now on here at Amazon to see what new stories come up. I recommend this book to anyone over 18 with a heart (like all erotic romance lovers).

I had to DNF this book. At first I thought this was going to be a interesting short story until I realized they were rushing the story too fast..

Second, They rushed. He wouldn't leave her alone after he saved her and she really wanted to have sex with him, which I also didn't like at all..

This was a very short quick read.
It was sweet and I'm not going to lie pretty cheesy. I get where they were going with the sentimental part but then it became about his huge dick. Then they throw in his brother and the fact his fiancee left him for his brother. Just kind of ridiculous at one point with his humongous dick. Like i was laughing when they were talking about it.

This was the first Red book I have ever read and i became a huge fan of hers after that. and it will always be my favorite.
this short story is about unexpected love and passion two people can have just by saving something (someone) beautiful. there is more to these characters that Red tells in so many pages that you can see them in real life. they feel like real people. Cyril our gentle giant with a protctive nature. And Lauren our young woman who is lost (and comfortable) in her beloved mothers shadow. These two together make a beautiful story. I hope and am excited for more of them if Red chooses to continue thier story.
