Written to cover the Statistics elements of an A-Level Mathematics course, this book has been updated to cover all Boards' syllabus requirements for first examination in 1996. It presents theory, supported throughout by worked examples, and further consolidation in the form of graded exercises. The scope of the book has been broadened to include box and whisker plots, stem and leaf diagrams, weighted means, consideration of the shape of a distribution, surveys and censuses, significance testing, and use of graphical calculators. An ELBS edition is available.
