If you are looking to get your CompTIA A+ certification, this is a good book to use. It has tons of information and Mike does his best to add merriment and mirth to what can sometimes be a dull topic. The only downside to this book, if you could call it a downside, is that it has so much information in it, the book can be quite daunting to read. Do not let its size turn you off.

I purchased this book because I wanted to help my employees get their A+ certifications and planned on using the book as a guide and nothing more. I was pleasantly surprised to find useful information and tips that I could use. I learned something new, they improved their skill sets, and hopefully we will all be A+ Certified.

Great book for preparing for CompTIA A+ exams. I passed my exams from just reading this book.

It gives great detail to help the understanding and history of computer components etc and how they work.

Meyers tends to waffle a lot but other then that I'd rec this book for anyone who is preparing for their CompTIA A+ or if you just want to learn more about computers

I'll come back and give it 5 when I get certification. I've read it through once, and found that to be useful. Now I have to go through again and take notes, go through the acompanying CD, ect. Then take the tests. However reading the book does feel like a partial acomplishment.

I got this book because I just started a job as a PC technician. I have a basic background when it comes to computers and technology and my Masters is in Instructional Technology. This book has been a big help in helping me acquire the knowledge that is required for my job. It may be along read but the author does a great job of conveying the information in an interesting way and the topics gone over in this book has helped me feel more confident and doing my job requirements. I will update my review on how prepared I was for the Comptia A+ exam after I take the test.

This wasn't the most interesting book I've ever read, but neither was the subject matter. It managed to be funny at parts, and it seemed comprehensive. I would recommend this to other people studying for the A+ certification exam.
