Liian siloiteltua taidetta ollakseen Blueberry eikä tarinassakaan ole kaikki oikein vaikka juonittelua riittääkin.

Clum, proprietário do Tombstone Epitaph, é raptado pelos homens de Gerónimo. Este pede-lhe para negociar a sua rendição junto do exército e nega estar por detrás do ataque ao carregamento de prata, que ele sabe ser obra dos Clanton. Por outro lado, Blueberry, ainda convalescente, continua a relatar a Campbell a sua história: derrotado por Gerónimo num combate peculiar, é porém poupado por este, depois de uma visão o ter convencido a deixar viver o cara-pálida.

Entretanto, os homens do capitão Noonan capturam alguns dos Apaches, entre os quais o próprio Gerónimo. À noite, chegado ao Forte Mescalero, Blueberry luta com o sargento que acabou com os feridos e agride mesmo o capitão Noonan, que é detido e colocado junto dos prisioneiros índios.

Deux albums qu' on ne parle que de lui, et le voilà qui entre en scène : Géronimo !

On garde le schéma des deux albums précédents : Blueberry raconte sa vie ; les Clanton et les Earp se préparent à s' écharper à OK Corral. Une fois de plus, on est tenu en haleine sans jamais perdre de vue les trois ou quatre intrigues parallèles.
