Tomorrow : Adventures in an Uncertain World

Rate this book
Bradley Trevor Greive's inspirational humor books are the luminous "little gems". His volumes are refreshingly original creations, driven by innocent (and often hilarious) animal images combined with just a few well-chosen words of text on each page. His "simple" tomes touch readers in a giant way.

BTG's Tomorrow , extends his remarkable reputation for creating profound books from life's most basic and enduring questions. Tomorrow reflects on staying sane in a world of change, conflict, confusion, and seeming madness. More than dealing with change, though, Tomorrow advises readers on how to maintain their footing and optimism even when the very ground seems to shift beneath their soles.

New and old fans alike will instantly identify with BTG's inviting format and probing insights. It is impossible to read this little book without smiling and laughing out loud.

Tomorrow 's topic undoubtedly resonates with seriousness and concern. But BTG's magic includes his proven ability to mix universal themes with fresh perspectives and howlingly funny photos of animals both in and out of the wild. From a truly bizarre-looking baboon to a tiger that abhors lemon drops, the animal personalities in this book act as irresistible partners in delivering the author's message to the very heart of the reader.

Tomorrow will be here before you know it. Tomorrow is the perfect gift book for our time.

Tomorrow: Adventures in an Uncertain World is a cute little book about living for today and learning not to worry about the future.

This was a gift from my mom and after reading it I realized it has the feel of a Hallmark gift book. Sure enough, it is a Hallmark book! It's basically filled with photos of animals that apply to each caption at the bottom.

"You have a lot more control over the future than you might think, because you can shape your world just by being true to what you really care about. "

The pictures alone make powerful statements. I loved all the quotes and the book sends a strong message to live in the now and enjoy life while you can. Don't worry about tomorrow because it will be there when you wake up.

I tend to view these books in a negative way because I'm a realist and sometimes everything isn't okay in life, but I have to make an exception for this book because I like the message it sends about living in the now and not worrying about things you can't control. Worrying is simply a waste of life.

The photos are perfect. Cute...

Words of wisdom paired with animal photographs makes for this brief little book that explores on telling readers how life may be but at the same time how life is also so much more. Although many books can't seem to pull this off I think it was wonderfully done in this particular edition.

"Tomorrow" reads like a small essay of words of wisdom put together to tell a story and as such the ideas flow perfectly instead of being just random quotes thrown together. This perfect balance makes this a fast read and one that will the reader no mater which part of the life path they may be on.

But what really makes this book sell is the animal pictures. As you look at them with their small blurb of the essay they were wonderfully chosen to complement each other. I find this seems to be a rare occasion when the two actually do so while it can change the whole tone of the story. But this is also where I have my biggest complaint.

Although the photographs were chosen with the thought in mind to help pass on the message they were all done in black-and-white. Why couldn't you allow us to see these funny and cute animals in color for it would truly help the reader to enjoy the book just a bit more, especially if they are animal fans.

All in all it was a decent and nice little read while I can most surely see where others may want to pass this gem on for its lessons. As such it may make for a better graduation present for a younger adult than an older one although older readers will also enjoy reading these brief timeless message as a reminder to their own life lessons learned.

I remember going to Hastings with my family when I was younger and I saw this book. I liked it instantly because of the cover, so my parents bought it for me as a present. When I first tried to read it I had no idea what any of it meant, I just liked the pictures.

Years later of it being stored on my bookshelf, I decided to read it.
Lately I’ve been stressing out about the future instead of focusing on the present. I’ve spent hours daydreaming and wondering how I’ll shape my future. So when I read this book, it made me feel hope.
Whatever happens in the future, happens. And before I die, I want to live in the now.

This book was very eye opening for me and during this time with corona and everything else going on, I think a lot of people could stand to read this.

The book Tomorrow is about how life as we know it, is going to “hell in a hand basket” and instead of looking at the bad things and being superficial, we should care about love and values of life. Greive uses amusing pictures of animals throughout the book to try to lighten up the mood and show humor in something that could be devastating. Although this book has no characters, to portray Greive’s emotions, it’s easy for me to really think about the world with a closer look. This book is a non-fiction/ picture/ informational book.

Since this book is already about the world, I can make a Txt-to-World connection. “You will find that there is beauty and hope, even in the most awful circumstances” this is a quote from the book that I can relate to the world now. Since the disaster in Haiti has happened, there has been a lot of lost hope, but since we kept hope alive, Haiti is doing so much better, and they actually have a chance at surviving and becoming a better country.

I would recommend this book to anyone. It is heart warming, informational, and very funny. I would rate the book 5 stars. It was perfect in everyway.

So adorable. A few times I've started to give this away, because it's just a simple gift book you give to somebody you don't know very well, with adorable photos of animals and about a line of text alongside each one. Each time I've held onto it because it does make me smile to flip through it, and that's the point. But we need to reduce belongings around here, so it's time for it to make somebody else smile.

What an interesting photo essay! The animals are very expressive and funny. The words are also inspiring.

"Admit that you are not the center of the known universe. Therefore, there will always be things you don't know and can't control. So when it's simply not your day and things get a little out of hand, as they invariably do from time to time. It's much more productive and far healthier to just sit back and enjoy the absurdity of the moment."

Sometimes we all need a nudge to lift us out of the doldrums. The world seems a crazy place. Change picks us up and whirls us off in unexpected directions. People disappoint us. We disappoint ourselves. That's when this little book of well-chosen animal photographs and brief, encouraging words can be a helpful boost.

No one's life is smooth sailing from the inside. Greive's little gems of wisdom make good gifts for friends going through hard times and fine companions for our own down days.

I got this book for my birthday from a friend who had read it and enjoyed it. The pictures of the animals are very expressive and went along with the words really well. The words and quotes were also very inspirational and made me tear up a few times. I thought this little book was super cute and I really enjoyed it. It took about 15-20 minutes to read.

This book is short enough to read, and cute enough to buy. The pictures and the text compliment each other tremendously, and that made me appreciate the author even more. The book is a life lesson about living positively and in the moment; it's bound to leave an impression!

Very cute, but at times astute. Maybe a little bit cliche and warm&fuzzy, but also a nice little reminder that life is too short to be taken seriously.
