Good summary of what is understood of dinosaur biology and evolution. Full of enjoyable facts presented in thorough and short essays. Tendency for the essays to diverge away from the fossil being discussed but I can understand why to cover so many topics in a short book.

A wonderful book perfectly described by the title. Using fossils, the author describes the history of dinosaurs, from the early tiny ones, through the giant ones, and including birds, telling us a lot of interesting things.

Even if you think you know about dinosaurs, you'll learn a lot. Incredibly readable, approachable, and fascinating. The examples are well chosen, and the author is clearly an expert. Loved it through and through.

A gift for my birthday, I have studied a lot of recent dinosaur books. This one is unusual in its approach showing a lot of fossils, and discussion by groups. I enjoyed it, but wish there were more images of what the animals may have looked like in real life. I learned some new facts.
