I love this concise, insightful guide on how to navigate the (sometimes) confusing process of publishing a book and getting the exposure you need to actually build an audience to read that book. Nowadays, there is so much information about all the various facets of publishing, and so much of it is extraneous and not very helpful. This book streamlines the whole process down to the essentials, which helps you keep your eye on the goal regarding what’s really important, and as an indie author with many projects going on at the same time, I definitely appreciated that.

With chapters on formatting, presentation, and marketing, nothing is left out, and yet it’s all packaged together in a way that helps you feel that publishing a book is actually doable for anyone who wants to learn. You don’t need to enroll in expensive programs or be a professional to produce a polished, impressive book that others will want to buy. As I read this book, I felt very encouraged that I could be a normal, busy person with a normal, busy life and also put my energy toward making my dreams of being an author come true.

I also really loved the author’s supportive tone throughout, as it made me feel like I can go through the process of publishing a book in a way that is right for me, instead of feeling pressured to do it the way everyone else is doing it. I highly recommend this book to anyone who is a newbie author, an indie author, or who wants to go a little deeper with their skills around book marketing and building an audience. It’s fantastic.
