There are still a lot of references to this book and its been on my todo list for a while. Quite a while. It seems to cover the basics OK but it is a bit dated by now and definitely old school. By old-school I mean partaking of the style where the writer/lecturer briefly states complicated results without explaining them much and then moves quickly onto the next result. The aim is either to rush through it all as quickly as possible, or possibly emphasize the lecturers brilliance, whatever. BUT The aim is not to teach and explain to those who DON'T already know the material. There are much better books around by now.
