Chopper (John Blake) #3

How to Shoot Friends and Influence People

Rate this book
A loner since his strict Seventh Day Adventist childhood, Mark Brandon Read grew into a streetfighter, standover man, gunman and underworld executioner. Although feared throughout the Australian crime world, Read admits to being a criminal "failure" because he has spent most of his adult life in jail. But he has become a notorious celebrity as his crime memoirs have topped bestseller lists. Now self-styled "writer in residence" at Tasmania's Risdon Prison, he has completed his third volume of memoirs. This is it.

Chop Chop is a great storyteller and this book is no exception. He advises most strongly that he had nothing to do with Sid Collins drawing his last breath, yet on his last public TV interview he advised he was the culprit, if true takes some gloss off from the reading.

Gets creepy and weird in parts. Compared to Chopper, I've been living in a box my whole life.
