A quick read about a barista, Fiona, who is fired by her boss when she rejects his advances. So she picks up and moves to a completely new town to find another coffee shop job, where she forms relationships with her new boss and his sister.
Listen, you’ll have to suspend your disbelief that things would end up happening this way for Fiona. There are a couple of major plot points that felt very unlikely if I thought about them too hard. Otherwise, it’s a nice, easy holiday read.
The Christmas-flavored latte contest was a fun addition to the story, as was Harvey the dog. I also really enjoyed Fiona’s friend Scarlett, who I assume gets her own story later in this series.
This is a sweet, clean romance. Part of a series but can be read as a stand-alone romance.
Fiona is fired from her job as a barista because her boss has a personal vendetta against her. She moves to Frosty Pines and gets a job at Leo’s coffee shop. She proves to be a good hire. She’s finally starting to trust again.
Great story and characters. I liked the interaction between characters. It’s a quick, easy read. Definitely worth it!.

This is the first book I've read by the author and I wasn't disappointed. It's well written with fantastic characters. Leo is a protective, analytical and driven man who is in desperate need of help, he starts to think he's never going to get it. Fiona is a strong, driven and caring woman who finds herself in a horrible situation. That's when she moves to Frosty Pines hoping to have a future. She finds everything she wants and more. But will her past prevent her from having the future she deserves?...

Fiona gets fired from her Barista job at no fault of her own. Her boss was angry she declined his advances so fired her. She finds her way to a new town where she gets a job as a batista and things begin looking up. Not having a family of her own Scarlett takes her in and becomes like a sister and then there is Leo, Scarlets brother and her boss. Will Leo be able to help her test again?.

Fa La La Latte is a wonderful short story written by Ruby Hill. I found this story to be well-written, you can feel the characters and are drawn in from the beginning. The storyline was well placed which you could easily follow.

Fiona is looking for a new start so she heads to Frosty Pines where she gets a job at Leo's coffee shop. Leo was looking for a new barista but ended up finding love too. This is a sweet, small town, holiday romance with believable characters, an enjoyable storyline, and a perfect ending. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book.
Fiona looses her job as a barista and must find a new job, but she can’t give her old job as a reference because her old boss would make sure she got a bad recommendation. She does find a new barista job at Leo’s shop. She shows him that she can do a great job, and while at a competition her old boss is there, ready to tell Leo a bunch of lies. I liked this one.
It was cute and I thought it started out pretty well, but then everything just started to feel forced and the writing was kinda pedantic. Not a bad story by any means, I just wish there had been more depth to the romance and to Leo. He kinda felt like he was only there for the sole purpose of being a love interest.
Three stars is pretty generous. It was written by quickly, plenty of details were skipped through. It was cute but incredibly hasty. I’ll probably read the rest of the series, but I’ll lower my expectations. It doesn’t help. I read this right after the pumpkin spice Café and that book was just out of this world.
I love Ruby Hills books about love and Christmas, and this book does not disappoint. Fiona loves being a barista and when she is fired from her current job, she decides to relocate. She ends up in Frosty Pines and gets a job immediately working for Leo at Steamy Mug. As she and Leo grow closer, will Fiona's pass cause problems or can she start a new life with Leo in Frosty Pines?
Can be read as a standalone but is part of multiple series. When she is fired and blacklisted by a vengeful boss she decides to move and start over hoping that she will be able to do what she loves. He owns a coffee shop and needs help but doesn't have time to train. How is he supposed to do everything and what are the chances of a trained barista walking in?
There is something magical about charming Frosty Pines. This is a wonderfully sweet romance with an entertaining storyline. I enjoyed the humor and relatable characters. Such a heartwarming story.

This is definitely a delightful Christmas romance. This author has written a story that had me smiling and feeling like it was Christmas time although I'm reading this in May.
This was such an enjoyable seet romance. Fiona is starting over, and Leo is so cautious. These two made quite a pair. I really liked Leo believing in Fiona when the drama started. It's such a great story.

Have a tissue handy for the three hours this family-friendly contemporary small-town fresh start romance set in Frosty Pines, Montana where barista Fiona Jenson is working at Steamy Mugs, will take. I had a copy from Booksprout and this is my voluntary review.
This was a quick, fun, Holiday read. The characters were entertaining, and the story line was good, and the entire book leaves you in the mood for some Christmas magic.
Fiona Jensen is laid off from her barista job because of lies that her boss, the manager of the coffee shop, had to respond to when the owner, Matthew Grant, insisted. She swore it was a personal attack by the owner, but there was nothing her boss could do against his direct order. The owner owned many businesses and was the city commissioner. She knew no one else would hire her now. But she wouldn’t let Matthew win! So she leaves her job and her home to start over. She takes a job at a coffee ship in Frosty Pines.
Her new boss Leo owned Steamy Mugs and was doing a fantastic business. But his dream was to have a delivery service as well. However, being so constantly busy, he had his customers to take care of first with no time left over to manage the delivery service. He needed someone who didn’t need training to work in the coffee shop, who could serve the customers, keep things stocked, and keep the coffee refilled. Hiring drivers would not be a problem. He was successful but had no time to expand without at least one more barista, his current staff of 4 not nearly enough. Then his sister came in, smiling and offering him a solution. She had just met someone in the bakery looking for a job – an experienced barista! But he was immediately suspicious as to why the barista was trying to start over, i.e. running from something, and struggling to find a job. Luckily Scarlett knew her brother well and talked him into taking this chance… and she happened to have asked Fiona to wait in the coffee shop, ready for an interview!
Fiona was honest with him, telling him she would not be able to provide a reference due to the reason she left her last job. He didn’t need the drama but asked, but she didn’t want to provide details anyway. Instead, she asked for a trial period where she could show him her skills firsthand. Yet he still hesitated. When Scarlett heard she had a dog and lived in an RV, she immediately invited her to stay in her spare bedroom (as she glared at her brother). So he gave in and offered a week’s trial. Before the week was over, he hired her. The town loved her and the creative drinks she made. But he couldn’t stop wondering why she left her old job, despite Scarlett telling him to leave it alone.
When Scarlett invited him to go out to dinner with them, Leo couldn’t decide what to wear. When he finally dressed casual and opened his front door, he noticed the snow… lots of it! He got to his sister’s place and got smacked in the face with an out of control snowball! As his sister threw another into his face, it was “game on” for the three of them! And it started to feel like family. Fiona got a text message announcing a contest for the best Christmas Latte. The prize was very generous and the advertising potential would put them on the map! But Leo had to decide quickly since the time to enter was closing. Will this bring them what he wants as tourists increase and also encourage him to expand the business? Or might it bring someone else into the competition whom Fiona doesn’t want to ever see again?
