In this thrilling trip from home, Coco the Chick makes her children's debut in indomitable style. Rolling down the streets on her skateboard, taking off across deserts, and even some underwater swimming - Coco is clearly a chick with a very important journey to complete. But where is she going? And is it really as far as she thinks?
Author of nine books including Bitter With Baggage Seeks Same--being re-released by Bloomsbury January, 2019. New novel There's A Word For That, coming from Little, Brown on April, 2019
I would really like to know where Coco's grandmother lives that causes Coco to take so many modes of transportation to get there (especially since there is even a spaceship involved)! But who cares about the implausibility? I just love Sloane Tanen's little chick dioramas regardless of what story they are telling.

I bought this book for my little niece when she was a toddler. She loved Coco's stories and loved the photos. It was one of my favorite books to read to her as well. Sloane Tanen is brilliant =in her adult books (Bitter with Baggage) as well as her children's books. I bought her other children's books as well.
Both my boys have loved this book, a simple story but fascinating photos. My younger son wants to create a similar project some day. I can understand the appeal of setting up all the miniature scenes, that would be fun!
