Being bad is better together. As the CEO of Dumas Industries, billionaire playboy Spencer Dumas couldn’t care less what people think of him. He’s got money, power, prestige, and plenty of female attention to keep him satisfied. In fact, he wants for nothing, except possibly the one thing his wealth and privilege won't a life of his own. Ask anyone in Pine Ridge and they’ll be happy to bend your ear with tales of Kayla O'Connell's terrible deeds. She's the first to admit she’s made some mistakes, but unlike everyone else, she’s moved on. All she wants now is to live her life in peace, without giving the gossip mongers anything else to talk about. Staying under the radar isn't hard - until she crosses paths with the corporate bad boy at an exclusive island resort. She knows she shouldn't, but there's no denying the instant and powerful sexual attraction between them. Being so far away from home, they can indulge their darker sides and do wicked, wicked things. No one ever has to know. It wasn’t supposed to mean anything. It was only supposed to be a one-time thing, never spoken of again. After all, villains don’t deserve happy endings … do they?

This story can definitely be read as a standalone but we met heroine Kayla in First and Only. She was Lexi’s very mean and bitchy step sister. She has... “A past riddled with things she wasn’t proud of?”

Kayla is working as a travel agent and goes on a trip to check out the exclusive resort, Sate where she is noticed by Spencer Dumas.

Spencer is a multi millionaire CEO, playboy and all around bad boy but finds that he is still under the thumb of his controlling father.

I love when the ”bad” girl gets a chance to tell her side of the story and it was wonderful to see Kayla’s growth. I listened to this story on audiobook and loved the narration.

This was excellent! It was good to see Kayla grown up, more mature feel remorse for her past. She and Spencer were perfect together. Their parents would be too. LOL

What happens when you take a little heat and add fuel to the fire? Combustion! HOLY WOW, this was a HOT read!

I haven’t yet read any of the other Callaghan Family & Friends Romance novels, and I do mean ‘yet.’ I have plans to read them all after this! I’m hooked. TWO OF A KIND was a fresh introduction to the Callaghan’s for me. I’m definitely heading to the beginning to devour this series. Can I just say Kayla and Spencer are two people with sordid pasts, perfectly flawed and wonderfully redeemable!

Abbie Zanders is a master storyteller. She took a self-proclaimed a$$hole, matched him up with one proud bitch, and sparks flew off the pages. These two made mistakes, but that is in the past. It’s time to move on. On a private island resort, catering to every whim of its clients, Kayla meets Spencer in what has to be one of the most epic elevator scenes I’ve ever read. A one-time fling turns into something more.

Villains may not deserve happy endings, but Kayla and Spencer can’t avoid their happily ever after. A stunning and vibrant story about the good, the bad, the ugly, and the bonds between two people which makes all of that nothing but water under the bridge, makes this is an amazing read. If you’re looking for a one-click, feel good, steamy read, then grab a copy of TWO OF A KIND. You’ll be glad you did! FIVE STAR read for me!

Another great one Abbie. The Callagham books were the first ones I found from Abbie Zanders and fell in love, so anything in this universe am going to be excited about. Spencer and Kayla are two characters who aren't your typical love birds. If you remember Kayla in previous books she isn't sweet or nice so I really wanted to see what she can become here. This is a great read, you'll want to know more. You can relate to these two, in wanting a second chance, in wanting to change and figure out who you really are. Can't wait to read more. I voluntarily reviewed an 'Advance Author’s Copy' of this book.

I was adamant that I wasn’t going to like these two because of their actions and how they came across in a previous series BUT Abbie did what she does best and made me fall in love with them. My heart hurt for Kayla and I wanted to rage against both their parents right along with them. Another fantastic read from Abbie Zanders

We all have done things in our lives that we regret and we all deserve a second chance. This can’t apply more to two people than it does to Kayla O’Connell and Spencer Dumas. This was not only a story of second chances but also one of forgiveness, revelation and realization of what is really important in life. Abbie Zanders once again weaves a wonderful story of love and romance with enough intricate twists and turns to keep the reader wanting to turn the pages. Kayla and Spencer went from hated characters in previous books to loved ones by the end of this book. The epilogue had me cheering and left me wanting more stories from Pine Ridge. If you are a fan of the Callaghan brothers you definitely need to read this book and even if you are new to the Callaghans you can still enjoy this wonderful story!

I loved this book, I was pulled into it right from the beginning and stayed there until I had read the last word written. All the time watching it play out in my head like a mini movie.
The emotions that the characters go through can be felt, I actually went through them at the same time, which made the book even better for me.
There are surprises throughout the book, some are large, some are small, some you will see coming others you won't, but they all have a hand in making the book the fantastic read that it is.
Reading this book I felt as though I was catching up with old friends, I love the Callaghan books.

Abbie Zanders is one of my favourite authors, I have never read a book by her, that I haven't enjoyed. The best things is the Callaghan series is on audible which means I can listen to them as often as I like.

4+ Stars

I loved, loved, LOVED the idea of two of the bad guys in a series getting their own happily ever after. Spencer and Kayla are two baddies in the Callaghan Brothers series, and in Two of a Kind, they find their perfect match in each other.

Kayla is working as a travel agent, sent to check out a new and exclusive “adults only” resort. Spencer is checking that his first solo venture is working smoothly. One look between them is all it takes for their attraction to light up, and not one to let an opportunity to have a beautiful woman, Spencer cranks the heat up.

While Kayla knows who Spencer is, and she’s aware that in normal circumstances he’d be totally out of her reach, she decides to indulge in their chemistry and the promise of a sexy bad boy.

Let me tell you one thing right now, this book is smoking hot. Their time together is off the charts sexy, and boy does Spencer know how to handle himself.

I must confess that I’ve read the Callaghan stories far enough back in time to not quite remember how bad Kayla and Spencer had been. What I loved about this story is that while we get reacquainted with both their bad deeds, we get the chance to see them from another perspective. Neither of them excuses their behavior, they even admit to having made mistakes and are repentant of their actions. That said, there are reasons behind their respective personalities, and while still on the bitchy and assholeish side we learn to love them in spite of it as there is more to them than meets the eye.

If you are worried that the bad guys are not likable enough to enjoy their story, let me assure you there’s no need to. Both ended up charming me and I couldn’t begrudge them their HEA.

Ms. Zanders has truly surprised me with this sexy, fun and unexpected delight that was Two of a Kind.

Steaming Hot (fan please), this one's a Scorcher!! *****

What happens when you put two people together that are used to being the talk of the town, and certainly not known for making the best decisions? Steamy action between Kayla and Spencer is going to leave you feeling a little flushed and impressed with their creativity.

Honestly it was a great story. It was well written and the characters had so much personality and the emotions that go with each of them, truly run deep. You never knew which direction Abbie would go, as soon as you do, there's a twist & turn, so not what you thought.  I loved the bits with the Callaghan Family, it's always good to catch up with them.

Such a creative ending, definitely not your standard HEA. The characters are in general hard to like. They come off a bit self-absorbed an appear selfish. They just have an overabundance of confidence and they don't hesitate when going after what they want in life. Adversity is the challenge it brings. They are strong, confident, straightforward, no holds bar they know what they want and go after it.

Happy READING!

Two of a Kind
I discovered 2 things just a couple of chapters in to reading “Two of a Kind”; 1. I really need to re-read the Pine Ridge series to refresh my memory. 2. One small thing I did remember was I shouldn’t like Kayla and Spencer from their Pine Ridge histories, but I already did. Kayla still has a little bit of the snobby, doesn’t care a lot about others attitude, but she has also grown tremendously from her past. And although we get hints of Spencer’s playboy past, he is so much more likable here. Kayla sets off for an adventure at the new Dumas resort Sate, and boy does she get one. He doesn’t even want to know her name, but he gives her the time of her life, until she escapes into the night. He’s shocked to find her closer then he expected once he returns to Pine Ridge. They both must overcome some horrible parents to get their HEA. I really enjoyed this story. To have two previously villainous characters grow into lovable characters and get their own story is very unique. I give this book 5 Stars.

I was given the book as an Arc, yeah, Iam one of those lucky b@&).
I must say this was not my favorite couple. I hated Kayla in previous books, and at the beginning it was hard not to always be a "team Taryn " instead of "team Lexi". read the book, you will get this!
This story is about an older, wiser Kayla. She had grown up....luckily she did not turned up to be a saint. I hate when villains ( she was one) grow and "magically" became awesome people. She is not. She is working on been a better person during the whole book, but never a saint( Thank you A.Z. For that).
I found myself "forgiving" him easily than her ( he was also a bad guy)... and that made me think about it a lot why!?
This is a good story, that you can read in a"seat". I think they got their HEA, not sure because I have imagined the wedding! Lol!
Darn...I need that book!
Another good one, so good I have given 5 stars for a couple, that I had my serious doubts about!
Because I don't want you to Miss a thing, i recommend you read the Callahan series first. Later you could choose team...Taryn or Lexi?

Who knew you could take two horrible characters, put them together & make them likable. Abbie Zanders did just that! You’ve met both characters in earlier Callaghan books and they were not the kind of characters you’d want as friends. Spencer wasn’t too bad, you could actually see him being a good guy with the right woman. Kayla on the other hand.....not a redeeming quality in her that I could see! So imagine my surprise when Abbie put these two together. The storyline was great and it’s always fun to see old friends, even if it’s mostly just in passing. This is a don’t miss if you’ve been reading the Callaghan series. If you haven’t then you really must! It is one of two series that I will reread over and over again. They’re all standalones but reading them in order just gives the series so much more.

Spencer and Kayla are perfect for each other

Both Spencer and Kayla have been living for what their parents wanted them to do for a long time. Kayla was one of the "mean girls" growing up and was very conniving to get what she wanted, until she didn't. Ten years later she has changed. Spencer has been a yes man to his father for years but now that he is CEO his father is still trying to control him in business and his personal life. Spencer and Kayla hook up when she vacations at his island resort but she walks away at the end of the weekend knowing who Spencer was from the beginning but he didn't even know her name. Spencer's dad offered Kayla a huge amount of money and startup of her own company anywhere to stay away from him. Spencer was told he was to marry for business purposes. Will Kayla take the money and run? Will Spencer marry like his father wants?

OMG!!!! I love this story. I love how Abbie was able to show the growth with Kayla. I have to admit I truly despised Kayla in the first 2 books she appeared in. Needless to say i hated Spencer as well. But to have these 2 meet and hit it off because as just as the title says they are 2 of a kind. The fact that Kayla was able to have her HEA was perfect. Now that i was able to get to know Kayla more i share a lot of her insecurities as far as not being good enough to be the main woman in a man's life. And to see that she was able to overcome those insecurities shows that there is hope in just about any situation. Absolutely loved this book Abbie Zanders. Thank you for allowing me to get to know the 2 villains in your books

I was really surprised on how much I enjoyed this story, I started reading it just to see how the writer can take two villains from previous stories and make them into likable characters and in the end I was really happy I chose to take a chance and read this one. The story reminds you that not only in real life but in stories characters can change. Kayla and Spenser are not very likable when you meet them early on in previous books but in Two of a Kind you get more background into what made them like they are and how they both decided to change their own life to become who they are now. Hopefully we will get the chance to meet more characters from previous books since Abbie Zanders always has very interesting people she writes about.

I have loved all of Abbie Zander's books, but I was a little skeptical about this book. It was about Spencer and Kayla, two people were the "villains" in previous books. They definitely had to fight for their happy ending. I did enjoy reading this book, and getting to know more Spencer and Kayla. I always wondered what made them act the way that they did, and this book answered those questions. I especially liked how they did not become buddy-buddy with the other characters. That would have ruined it for me, because it would have been unbelievable. I liked how believable the story was, and the ending was perfect to me! I definitely recommend reading this book, along with the callaghan brothers!

Well I’m so glad I finally got round to this book - I’ve always put off reading about Kayla & Spencer as I wasn’t convinced I could ever like them but then would Abbie Zanders ever have given them their own story & chance at a HEA if they weren’t redeemable?
A great story that I enjoyed, 2 fascinating characters, maybe not particularly loveable but so interesting & yes ultimately likeable.
Both Kayla & Spencer have pretty hard personalities - strong, confident, selfish, single-minded & definitely no problem going for exactly what they want. As a couple they work & bring out some true emotions.
Plenty of plot, twists to keep you guessing lots of heat & beautifully narrated by Heather Costa & Jeffrey Kafer, I would recommend this to everyone.

4.5 Stars. This would have been just another entertaining story where the working class girl and the millionaire CEO end up together, if not for the backstory. It was very clever and quite unusual that the author selected Kayla and Spencer to be the first couple in the spin-off series of the Callaghan brothers. Kayla played the villain role in both Jake and Ian Callaghan’s books. She was down right hateful to sweet Lexi in “First and Only”. Spencer was Maggie’s ruthless ex-fiancé in “House Calls”.
The years certainly matured these two outcast. Their romance was extremely sensual with an undeniable bond. What an elevator scene!
There are brief appearances by some of the Callaghan family members.

Two of a Kind

Wow! Who knew you could get to like the villains of the book. This story is about Kayla and Spencer. They were villains in the other Callaghan books but you kind of have to feel sorry for these two. They were kind of made for each other. They both had overbearing parents so that seemed to throw them together. As the story moves along, we get to see these two get together and basically explode in each other's arms. I am happy these two found happiness in each other. It was hilarious when their parents showed up to their wedding but didn't get to attend. Kayla had definitely grown up but it was sad she didn't want to be anywhere near Lexi. FANTASTIC job Abbie! I would recommend this book!

Wow! This book was fantastic! I don’t know how Abbie Zander’s was able to pull it off,but she made me root for two people who did horrible things to have their happy ending. Many years have passed since we were first introduced to these two and life hasn’t turned out the way the expected for them. They are content with their lives, but not truly happy. This is a steamy read, loved the elevator scene. His dad and her mom made me want to strangle them, now those two are entirely selfish and rotten. I also liked that we were able have an update on the Callaghan clan. They are happy and so protective of each other. I was given an arc for an honest review.

Love Love Love 💕

Abbie Zanders did an amazing job of making me love these two kind of wicked people that thought they never needed anyone.
Kayla was the woman we all just loved to hate and you definitely didn’t leave your man anywhere near. Just look at all the trouble she caused in Pine Ridge. 10 Year’s later and she’s a changed woman.
Spencer was a bit of a jerk and a playboy. He has power, money, prestige, and is still a playboy. He’s almost perfect. But one woman is about to rock his world. Trust me you won’t want to miss the kind of trouble Spencer and Kayla get into this time.

Had forgotten about Kayla in the Callaghan Brothers series until I read this! Will have to go back and re-read to remember how bad she was. Another great story about how two apparently disparate people can make it work and find love and contentment despite what life throws their way. Thought Abbie was writing about my mother when writing about Kayla's Mum so can sympathise with Kayla on that one -maybe Abbie should put Kayla's Mum and Spencer's Dad together a combustible pairing. Was nice to see a few of the characters from the Callaghan Brothers making and appearance. I received an ARC of this book to do a pre-publication review.

Full of heat and unexpected love!

Only Abby can take two of the most hated characters from the Callaghan series and turn them into characters you love. Both Kayla and Spencer have turned themselves around after their selfish actions in the past. I really enjoyed the way the story shows more background for both of their actions. They grew into more than villains, they became a character who deserved their own happy ending. Spencer and Kayla sure heated up the pages in the end.

Honestly, I wasn't sure if I could really enjoy a book about Spencer and Kayla since I really didn't like them from past books. I'm so glad I gave it a try because it was hot and kept me guessing how it would end.

There's a little good in everyone....even the villains of the story!

Annie Zanders is one of my favorite authors. It was good to revisit Pine Ridge and Callaghan country and catch a peek into the current lives of some of my favorite book characters. It was also a delicious treat to get some of the other side of the story from Lexi Callaghans former step sister Kayla. This is a wonderful story of a mean girl discovering herself and her true worth and changing into someone who's just like most of us...a little good and a little bad and often confused by life. Thanks Annie for giving us a bigger slice of the picture. As always, I loved the book!

Love this author!!!

Annie Sanders writes some of the best stories I have ever read! You'll laugh & cry & can't stop reading her books. Her characters are strong and kick ass. With such heart & imagination, she has written stories that engage you & keep you up all night! These stories are fantastic! I will be heartbroken when I have read everything she has written & start to anxiously have to wait for her next one to come out. I know she has a life, but I wish that the only thing she does is write these stories so I never have to wait for the next one. I have never lost this much sleep reading. Phenomenal author!

This was not only a story of second chances but also one of forgiveness. Abbie Zanders once again told us a wonderful story of love and romance with enough twists and turns to keep us wanting to turn the pages until we realized we had read it all in 1 sitting. Let's face it none of us liked Kayla and Spencer in previous books. Sometimes people make bad decisions and we shouldn't be judged on those bad acts alone. Everyone deserves a happily ever after right ?. Man let me just tell you bye the end of this book y'all are going to love them.

Having seen how someone could change from pretty much being a jerk to becoming a much nicer person in real life after meeting his future mate, it shouldn't come as a surprise that Abbie would raise the stakes by taking two characters that don't have very good reputations and make them the center of a book. I was drawn in from the start and didn't want to put the book down. And the sexy scenes - oh my. It was also great to see an appearance by some of the members of the Callaghan family and what's been going on in their lives - they feel like old friends.

Loved returning to Line Ridge

I wasn't quite sure about reading a book where the main character is the villain in the previous books. I hated Kayla with a passion and Spencer wasn't at the top of my favorites lost either. But it is Abbie Zanders we are talking about here and I will one click her books without a second thought. I was very pleasantly surprised how much I enjoyed reading about Kayla and Spencer. Did Kayla get off the most hated list? Maybe not but I don't loathe her like I did before and I cheered Spencer when he finally grew a set.
