When Spanish II came along, it was imperative that I had some sort of reference to words I wasn't familiar with. Eventually, my use of it gave me an "A" in Spanish class. My rating is in accord with my satisfaction of this concise pocket-sized but quite thick of-a-book. History shows anything "Webster's" is a pleasure to hold while in doubt about words. Helped me greatly up until my purchase of an electronic "Franklin Spanish-English/English-Spanish Tes-120" which soon-after took over. Darn technology. Both became prized-possessions, a part of the ever-growing library.
Having a growing number of Spanish speaking students each school year, this book has helped me so much. I received a student this year that moved from Mexico to our school. She had very limited English and this reference book helped both of us, trememdously! I recomment this book for anyone with a Spanish speaking population in their school. It is also inexpensive, in comparison to other reference books, and I actually purchased one of these for my student to take home and use with homework and to help learn the language with her family.

Handy. Doesn't include everything. Tends to have more Mexican vocabulary, according to my South American instructors of Spanish at Morehouse College in summer, 2008. They recommended the unabridged Larousse dictionary.
This is a great little dictionary and I'm finding it very helpful. I especially like the long list of verbs in the front of the book that are conjugated for the reader.
Very thorough in comparison with other similar books. This one has a lot more words than others and bonus information about the language that helps with learning Spanish.
