I think this book has rather lightweight content. It seems to be an advertisement for the Inside Microsoft Sharepoint 2013 book ))).

Pretty good jump start for any SharePoint developer who wants to understand core things happen behind the scenes. Especially about the security topics such as authentication and authorization applied to SharePoint add-ins.
However, the book has several technical mistakes and typos, so I have to drop one star.
