Every major structural system is carefully analyzed and compared. The first half of the book considers the skeleton frame. The second half discusses structure in architectural design.The author relates structure to plan, section and massing, and points out the importance of structure in designing contemporary buildings. Of course one must consider the date of publication 1950.
