I chose this book of all the Macbeth books offered because I was concerned that I would not understand Shakespeare's English. It was a great help and I found myself reading the sections multiple times to clarify my understanding of his words. It probably took me longer to read because it was as if I was reading it twice but at least I was able to understand what was being said without frustration! I recommend this format if you are not familiar with Shakespearean language!

Great way to get to understand the great Bard. You read first the Shakespeare version and you savour the language, then just belowis the plan english text, and then you understand what they say. Complement this with a youtube version of MacBeth by Judi Dench and Ian Mckellen (1978 version) and you can at last add a little sliver of culture to your education. I enjoyed it very much.
