Noah Barrington is the most irritating guy on the planet. He’s such a neat freak and drives me up the wall. Our parents might be best friends, but I can’t stand being in the same room as him.
And now I’m his wife.
For a school assignment, of course. I know, that sounds like a match made in…not heaven. How on Earth am I going to survive the next few weeks? But the more time we spend together, the more I realize he’s not as bad as I thought. He’s sweet and kind, and maybe I even…
Like him.
One word to describe Evie Hastings? Chaos.
She’s a walking disaster. No, even a disaster would be more organized than her. We’ve known each other all our lives, but that doesn’t mean we get along. And now I’m forced to be her husband for a school assignment.
This is not how I imagined married life would be.
But when my band gets negative feedback after a few terrible performances, Evie steps in to help. Not only does she save my band, but she saves me. It turns out she’s not as awful as I thought she was. Actually, she’s pretty amazing.
Enemies Don’t Fall For Enemies is the tenth book in the Invisible Girls Club, a sweet YA contemporary romance series. If you like invisible girls who snag the boys of their dreams, this book is for you!
Hi! I'm Emma and I write sweet YA romance novels that will make you swoon. When I'm not writing, I love to read, play video games, get lost in a good movie, and I eat way too much junk food. My sweet YA books include The Invisible Girls Club series, The Hotties Next Door series, and Crushing On The New Guy. I also write sweet adult romance books under Emma Lynne, including the Single Girls Club series. I love hearing from my readers, so please don’t hesitate to email me or follow me on Facebook.
After reading The Scholomance series (which was horrible) I needed something cute and fluffy to change my sour mood, and low and behold I find this latest installment of Invisible Girls Club <3 In this book we will follow Evie and Noah, both are seniors getting ready for college, and they couldn't be any more different, Evie is artistic and messy while Noah is precise and tidy, they can't stand each other even though their families are intertwined to no end, but when they get to be partners in school project that would make them a married couple they realize that their differences are what makes them a magical couple I originally was going to read the new Kasie West book (Borrow My Heart) which was released today but once I started reading this book I couldn't stop until I finished it, it was really adorable like the rest of the series, and I really liked how much growth both Noah and Evie got through out the book, and the ending was really bitter sweet for me because this might be the last book in the series ( I really hope not) but usually the author hints at a new book but she didn't this time .. this world that the author created is really perfect to anyone looking for a haven where you throw the real world out of the window and you enjoy healthy relationships with a lot of cute and fluffy romance, I read every book in the series and I had a great time with it :D
What a bittersweet ending to the series! Firstly, I love how we closed out with yet another enemies to lovers, grumpy-sunshine story because in this series, I know how much the author has grown since the first book in the series—which came out 2 YEARS AGO! Can you believe that?
Now I can’t lie and tell you that I waited until finals were over to read this because the moment I saw it on Amazon, you bet your ass I stopped what I was doing to read it. And finished it in one day, too.
If there’s one trope that I think Emma Dalton has nailed, it’s the enemies to lovers trope and in this series, there’s quite a few of them. But Evie and Noah’s story is the closest to how I would imagine the trope. They were opposites in just about every way who realize that they may have more in common than they thought. The slow burn was definitely burning, hahaha.
And the rockstar romance? Sign me up! The music nerd in me was really happy about it that I had started making an entire playlist (for the series, not just this book). I love the cheesy, rom-com elements in this book and the series overall and will definitely miss those until the next book.
Now if you are a sucker for everything I talked about, then why are you still reading this review? Go and pick up the book! Like, right now. I’m serious.
I definitely enjoyed this book with Noah and Evie. When I was reading the book with Chloe and Liam. I knew that Noah and Evie was going to end up together. Even when Willow and Colt book came along.
All that fighting that they was going through and arguing that was just them expression themselves of how they felt about each other. Not knowing deep down they liked each other. They just thought it was hate when it wasn’t.
I was glad that they both figured out their feelings and ended up with each other. Especially with Noah going for what he wanted and that was music…, if it wasn’t for Evie I don’t think he would’ve told his dad - parents that he wanted to pursue music… I’m glad that he finally told them .. I can’t wait to see or read about their kids once they older like their parents ….
But I need a Rylee, Mia, Zoey, and Brock book… real soon…
Noah and Evie have been frenemies for years, annoying each other to no end. So, of course they aren't thrilled when their teacher pairs them as a married couple for their project. That leads to a whole lot of friendly banter and jokes and I just found the whole thing hilarious lol It also drew them closer and they learned about each other. As their friendship grew, they start to better each other and it was so cute to read! They did have immature moments (i mean, they're teens lol), but nothing overly dramatic or crazy and I LOVED it 😍
Ah, I see. Noah Barrington is making jokes again. I have to say, I’m liking this new you. All we need to do is get rid of your neat freakiness and you’ll be good to go.” “Don’t push it.”
I knew these two would get together. The sexual tension between these two has been the base of their enemy fighting. I love the class they are in and how it changes them. I love the fact that she helps out with the band. I love the ending.
Het was eerlijk gezegd een beetje erg saai... Enige goede was dat de rollen een keer omgedraaid waren. Zij was de chaotische wildebras en hij de keurige jongen.
this is a great book, really sweet and slow burn enemies to lovers. I loved that it isn't smutty and has some really wholesome moments, tho I felt that it was left slightly incomplete.
This book was cute, though I did find Evie a bit annoying at first. She did end up growing on me. Loved the opposites attract/ enemies to lovers trope with her neighbor Noah. Super cute read!
