"I've set up my corporation. Now what do I do?"All too often business owners and real estate investors are asking this question. They have formed their protective entity -- be it a corporation, LLC or LP -- and don't know what to do next.Run Your Own Corporation provides the solution to this very common dilemma. Breaking down the requirements chronologically (i.e. the first day, first quarter, first year) the audiobook sets forth all the tax and corporate and legal matters new business owners must comply with. Written by a Rich Advisor Garrett Sutton, Esq. who also authored the companion edition Start Your Own Corporation, the audiobook clearly identifies what must be done to properly maintain and operate your corporation entity. From the first day, when employer identification numbers must be obtained in order to open up a bank account, to the fifth year when trademark renewals must be filed, and all the requirements in between, Run Your Own Corporation is a unique resource that all business owners and investors must have.

I really enjoyed this book, however, I would have been so lost if I didn't already have prior knowledge in taxation, corporations, and business litigation. This book doesn't have ALL the answers but it gets you thinking in the right mindset and sparks off some vital questions that one starting a corporation should be asking and getting answers to.
Rich Dad Advisors: Run Your Own Corporation: How to Legally Operate and Properly Maintain Your Company into the Future" by Garrett Sutton provides a thorough guide on the benefits of incorporating your business and how to maintain it for long-term success properly. Sutton breaks down complex legal concepts into easy-to-understand terms and provides practical tips for navigating the incorporation process. He also delves into the importance of proper record-keeping and how to protect your assets through a corporate structure.
One of the things I appreciated about this book is the author's emphasis on the importance of seeking professional advice. He acknowledges that every business is unique and it's crucial to have a team of professionals, such as lawyers and accountants, to help guide you in the right direction.
While the book provides a lot of valuable information, some of the concepts can be a bit dense and may require a second read to grasp fully. Additionally, the author focuses primarily on US-based businesses, so some of the information may not apply to businesses in other countries.
Overall, I highly recommend "Rich Dad Advisors: Run Your Corporation" to any entrepreneur looking to incorporate their business and ensure its longevity. The book is packed with practical advice and insights to help you make informed decisions about your company's future.
Another good book on how to run your corporation after you have incorporated up until 5 years later. This is a great companion book to his prior book, "Start Your Own Corporation." My focus, as it was in the prior book, was keeping my Corporate Minutes within Corporate compliance.
You will learn the difference between first Organizational Minutes, Annual Minutes of Shareholders, to be followed closely by Annual Minutes of Directors, and Special Meetings. These are key items to get right to help hold your corporate veil up. It is not just one thing to get right, but a "symphony" of 7 items:
1. Separate Bank Accounts for your Corporation 2. Yearly Secretary of State Filings 3. Annual Meetings - Shareholders and Directors. Don't forget to hold Special Meetings through out the year for significant Corporate decisions 4. Don't co-mingle personal funds with corporate funds 5. File separate tax returns for your Corporation 6. Maintain displays to the world of your Corporation designation 7. Always sign your documents with your Corporate entity
Get this right. If you don't take your Corporation business serious, then who will? Certainly not the IRS, or if you get personally sued from either an inside or outside attack. Be proactive, and don't fail to plan.
The information I this book is worth the money! So are the stories and the great advise is perfect for all who are planning to be protected and also prefect their wealth
Excellent follow on to Start Your Own Corporation. This book doesn't delve deeply into any one topic but provides a very thorough overview of many topics that business owners will need to be familiar with. I found this book incredibly valuable and found a number of things I needed to learn more about and correct in the way I'm running my business. I'd highly recommend this to anyone who has or is thinking about starting a business but I would strongly recommend you go through Start Your Own Corporation first.
