Washington, DC. Where spies are everywhere.

Lincoln Baker is just a regular kid. Okay, so he had this one undercover mission in Paris and, sure, he might have saved the world, but that's ancient history. He's done being a junior secret agent for Pandora.

The trouble is, Pandora isn't done with him. They've received a threat on the president's life from an agent named Dagger. Now they want Linc to go to Washington, DC, to protect the first daughter, Amy. As if that's not enough, George Washington's legendary coat, rumored to make its wearer invincible, is missing. Pandora needs to find it before Dagger does. Unfortunately for Linc, his by-the-book agent nemesis, Ben Green, is already on the case.

With Amy's help, Linc will have to dig deep into the history of America's first spies to beat Ben at his own game and stop Dagger before it's too late.

This is the second book in the Double Vision Trilogy, called Code Name 711. At the end of the first book Double Vision, Linc is coming home from a friend's house after having played a video game and he sees a familiar dark SUV parked at the end of his street. Code Name 711 picks up there. Linc is going in as a double for Ben Green again. Two secret agents are better than one and kids can go places adults can't. Plus it will confuse people to see Ben/Linc in two different places. So Linc, ever the schemer, comes up with a plan for him to go on a field trip for Junior Achievers to go to DC so mom and dad and especially Gramps won't be suspicious.

Stuff starts on the plane and doesn't end until the very last pages. Linc and Henry, the gadget guy who is also twelve, are paired up again. Henry has made some great gadgets for Linc and Ben, but Linc and Ben have already had a falling out. The mission, which was explained in a secret room in the Whitehouse with the members of Pandora, including Linc and Ben, is to find another Dangerous Double, George Washington's original coat which makes the wearer invincible. And to save the First Family from being killed. Yes, serious mission.

First, the President is a woman! Thank you F.T. Bradley. Second, and I forgot this in my review of Double Vision, Linc is paired with another girl, Amy,the first daughter, and without her, he would never get his mission off the ground. Ben and Linc make a bet that each one will find the Dangerous Double first. The adults are looking for the assassin. Ben only needs his Junior Secret Agent manual and takes off. Linc goes to Henry and gets his and Ben's gadgets and then meets Amy who takes him to various places to get his mission going as he doesn't know much about George Washington, spies or Washington DC. I love the fact that Amy is not a tag along, but an integral part of his investigation and search. Without her, he would not have any leads. And they do some risky things and use being children as an advantage. It's non stop action again. And an unbelievable ending!

And then there's the setup for the next book..... It should be good!

I'd recommend this series to reluctant readers, both boys and girls. It's an adventure, action book. There's some rivalry between Ben and Linc. It's a good, clean story and goes pretty fast, but there is never a dull moment. Linc is an extremely believable and likable character.

I received a copy of this novel from the HarperCollins for review. The opinions expressed in this review are my own.

Thank you F.T. Bradley for the free copy of your 2nd Double Vision book. It was a great story. I enjoyed this jr. spy novel with double secret agents and Dangerous Double historical artifacts. My 3rd grader loved it too, but I have a feeling it's for older kids. This story is non stop and great for those who love a spy mystery for kids. One thing I would have enjoyed would be an appendix to the story. It's a fictitious story for entertainment purposes, but I wonder if the historical quotes were accurate. Was George Washington really a spy? Is there such a thing as the Cuper Ring? Or did the author make it all up????

Double Vision: Code Name 711 is amazing! It's easy to understand and is full of mysteries. Everyone will surely enjoy it, together with the first book. It has good setups and awesome plans.

I hate Benjamin though. He's a little pain in the ass. He's just plain awful. Linc, on the other hand, was full of fun and excitement. The book also went deeper through the Pandora agency which made me wonder what secrets were they hiding.

F.T. Bradley really did a wonderful job constructing the characters, mysteries, clues, scenes and everything else. In short, the whole book is a success. I really enjoyed it. Every bit of it. I will definitely recommend this to kids who likes mystery and to those who aren't ready to read much more complicated mysteries like Sherlock Holmes.

Thank you F.T. Bradley for send me your book in exchange for an honest review 💕

It is an action pact book is not very scary but is still interesting traders, kidnappers and double agents and comedy. As a 12 years old I enjoyed this book very much.

Linc Baker didn’t want to be a spy, he wanted to be just a regular kid. When he was recruited by a top-secret agency, Pandora, he was kind of annoyed. Luckily, he completed the mission, saved the world, blah blah blah, and he was called out of action. Well, he was out of action until now. When a secret agent steps out of a black car and asks for Linc, he knows Pandora is looking for him to go on another mission. To make matters worse, Linc is on the same case as agent Benjamin Green, an agent that looks exactly like Linc but is totally annoying and no friend to Linc. Linc flies out to Washington D.C. to get his mission. Apparently, George Washington’s coat makes the wearer invincible and the coat has gone missing. A villain named “Dagger” plans to kill the president while wearing the coat. Linc and Ben need to find it, but they hate each other. They do what any two feuding agents would do. They make it a competition. Linc finds an ally in Amy, the president’s daughter. Together Linc and Amy set out to stop Dagger, save the president, and show up Ben.

Code Name 711 is the second book in the Double Vision Trilogy. Double Vision (Published in October 2012). The books do not have to be read in order because I was completely into this story even though I didn’t read the first book in the series (although Double Vision is now on my must read list). I really liked this book. Ms. Bradley writes an adventure story that is exciting and interesting and totally appropriate for middle grade readers. I love that it takes place Washington DC and that it involves history a little bit. Linc is an awesome character. He is very realistic and believable as a kid. I like that he has the assignment to guard the First Daughter (Amy) and that they make a good team in trying to defeat Dagger. The idea of two people looking exactly alike (Linc and Ben) and that they hate each other is hysterical. I like the idea of the “Dangerous Doubles” in the book (things in history that have a magical power that had to have a copy made to make it less suspicious). Ms. Bradley has a great writing style and wrote a thrilling spy adventure for kids. I can’t wait to read Book 1, and then, I’ll wait for Book 3!

*NOTE I got a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Lincoln Baker is back to being a regular kid when he gets the call from Pandora that his assistance is needed again. Looking like a junior detective can come in handy when people want to keep a secret. Unfortunately, Linc looks like his nemesis, Benjamin Green, and both recently finished working on an undercover mission in Paris. It seems they are both needed again because there has been a threat on the President of United States and her family. Someone named Dagger has sent a message that they will bomb the White House during an upcoming special event. What makes the situation even worse is that they may be wearing a special coat once worn by George Washington, and the coat is believed to have protective powers. Linc and Ben need to help find this allusive coat before the villain, but time is ticking. When the President's daughter, Amy, decides to follow along with Linc is he putting her life in danger? Do Ben and Linc have what it takes to solve the case? Will their competitiveness work against them? How will they piece together the clues, and who can they trust in a city filled with so many people? This action-packed adventure will have your heart racing!

Although I did not read the first book in the Double Vision series I had no problem following along with Double Vision: Code Name 711 by F.T. Bradley. Linc was a character I could relate to right away. He was humorous and smarter than he knew. It was fun going along on a secret case and thinking about what I would do in each situation. Sometimes I agreed with Linc, and sometimes I didn't. This book is filled with spies, moles, villains, and heroes. There are also some pretty cool gadgets, thanks to a character named Henry. I would love to try some of them out! This book made me think about how hard it would be to be a child in the White House and all the restrictions you would have on you. It was clear that Amy really needed some attention from her mom, and she wanted friends and excitement. I would recommend this book to anyone in third grade and up who likes suspense, adventure, and secret codes. I look forward to the next Double Vision book and finding out if Lincoln and Ben ever become friends.

Lincoln Baker is back for the second installment in F.T. Bradley's Double Vision series. During a "perfect" Sunday of video games with friends, feeling pretty good about his schoolwork and waiting for his mother to put spaghetti and meatballs on the table, super secret agency Pandora approaches Lind with a new problem. There's another "Dangerous Double" posing a threat to the life of the President of the United States and her family. (Yep, the Commander in Chief is a woman!)

Linc convinces his family he's part of the Junior President's Club and is going on a field trip to Washington, D.C. Once there, he has to deal with Benjamin Green, an arrogant "real" kid agent who just happens to look like Linc. With the help of Henry the twelve-year-old gadget genius and First Daughter, Amy, Linc again solves puzzles and follows clues to try to be the first to get to a special, and very dangerous, artifact once belonging to George Washington.

Bradley weaves history, D.C. landmarks, the Culper Spy ring, puzzles, danger and laughs into another fun and fast thrill ride of a book. The target audience may be reluctant readers, but anyone will enjoy the adventures of a likeable, normal kid who gets caught up in extraordinary situations.

Once again Mr. Bradley has written a fantastic spy mystery! Although the target age for this book is 8-12 years of age, I am “older” and it is an absolutely fun book to read. This book is the second in a trilogy and while you don’t have to have read the first book (“Double Vision”), it would be helpful in recognizing the main characters in this second book.

I was pleased to see that the setting for “Code Name 711” was Washington, DC – a city that really is full of mystery itself. The author has done an excellent job of helping one picture the city and I could easily see Linc and Amy running the through the streets to avoid danger.

Great book! Great read! Great fun! I am looking forward to reading the third book in this series when it is released in the Fall of 2014! (rev. P.Howard)

Linc Baker is back in action with the super secret Pandora division. This time the mission is to save the President and her daughter from assassination. He's being forced to work with his look-alike again, Ben Green.

It's another rollicking, high-action adventure. This time in the city of Washington D.C. Linc and his friends follow clues and break codes in order to uncover the assassin's identity before he can strike.

What makes this book and its predecessor so engaging is Linc and his sense of humor. F.T. Bradley has done a great job of capturing the middle grade voice and displays a knack at creating humorous situations that are perfectly child-like.

My 12-year-old daughter loved both of them and when I asked her why, she said, "the action and the humor."

In my opinion, the Double Vision series is fine for readers as young as 3rd grade if their reading skills are strong enough. It's perfect for 4th and 5th graders and most middle-schoolers will enjoy it too.

The second adventure takes Linc to Washington DC to solve a threat against the president of the United states and her family.

This time the secret service came to Linc because they could. I guess after the success of his first mission he was basically hired.

Linc was sent to find a powerful and dangerous artifact linked to George Washington. Said artifact if not found and secured could be used to cause harm to the President of the United States and her family. Yes. A woman president. How cool is that?

Sure enough Ben was involved as well and their antagonistic relationship nearly ruined the mission. But it sort of worked out.

I learned a lot about secret services and spies. This time around the way Linc was able to get away from his parents for his mission was a little better but it was handed to him on a silver platter. lol

A fun, fast-paced spy novel for kids with a Washington, D.C. setting that middle school fans of the genre will enjoy. While it's not particularly thought-provoking or gorgeously written, there's much to appreciate here. The main character comes across as a genuine (if somewhat two-dimensional) kid, rather than an adult in a kid's body. And while the main character is male, there's a clear effort to include female characters in roles of authority (such as the president of the United States and various secret agent characters). Plus, the novel is super fast-paced, perfect for those middle schoolers who request books that are action-packed. I'm also pleased that the story can be read as a stand-alone while still enticing readers to continue on with the series (NOT a fan of series books that end with cliffhangers).

The second book in the Double Vision series is definitely winner. Tight writing and chock full of action make this story a "must read" for tweens. Oddly enough, the reader just might learn some American history (that is fascinating for any age reader) along the way. As a winner of this book from good reads (and darn glad of it), I highly recommend this book. My only regret is that I did not read the first book in the series prior to reading this one as the author refers back to events in Double Vision #1 which would have added another dimension to the interaction between the main characters in this story.

This is a great spy/mystery romp through Washington DC with a twelve-year-old hero. In just a few days there is to be a costume ball at the White House and someone has threatened to blow up the President, her daughter and the White house. Linc and First Daughter Amy, dash madly about in an effort to keep the disaster from happening. And they must also find and protect George Washington's famous blue coat, the one that kept him safe from harm during the American Revolution.

I liked catching glimpses of various monuments and important places while the kids tried to figure out their next clue. This is perfect for adventurous middlegraders!

How fun is this children's story? Start with a charismatic and highly likable protagonist (Lincoln Baker), build from the wildly popular prequel, add a great story and allow the young reader's imagination to soar.

Pandora needs Linc's help to protect POTUS (a woman - yea!). Can Lincoln save the President and her family? You know the answer but you don't know how this story unfolds.

Enjoy this one.

This second book in the series is just as entertaining as the first. I get a kick out of Linc and Henry and how they get in and out of one sticky situation after another. The plot is perfectly paced for the middle school reader with just the right amount of action and plot twists to keep them fully engaged. This is a great series to recommend to all middle school students, but especially reluctant readers. This could be the book that finally pulls them in!

(I received a free copy of this book as a "first read" from Goodreads.)

I highly enjoyed Double Vision: Code Name 711. F. T. Bradley does a nice job combining humor, action, and unexpected plot twists to create an entertaining middle grade spy novel. The main character, Linc Baker, is one who I can see having a lot of appeal for reluctant readers as well as for kids who always have a book in their hands. I already have several ideas of kids to recommend this book to!

This is one of those rare sequels that is better than the already very good original. It isn't necessary to have read the previous (and first) book in this series to enjoy this one, but for those readers who have they will encounter a more confident and self-assured junior agent in nonstop action while learning a little something about the history of the US.

I'm completely in love with this series. I will be ordering it for school and then I'll be able to read the newest one, as my public library doesn't own this series...what a shame. Linc is once again recruited to be a spy. He is reunited with his friend Henry, meets the President's daughter and is on the hunt for another dangerous double.

I won this book in a give away. While I am much older than middle grade I've read a lot of MG books as an aspiring middle grade writer! This spy novel reminded me a little of the spy kids movie - It's a fun easy read with like able characters. I would recommend for MG readers.

Action packed kid spy novel. Even though it is the second book in the series it can be read independently. Despite some hard to believe events, this will definitely appeal to Alex Rider fans.
