Jonah McCabe made a horrible mistake six years ago that cost him his chance at happiness. Then fate interceded.
A last minute favor has him coming face to face with his past. Every beautiful inch of it. Her laughter still echoed in his mind. As did the pain in her voice the day she left.
Can he make things right in a race against the clock, or will time continue to work against him?
Kelli McCracken is an author of rock star-themed contemporary and paranormal romance. She loves penning a good, sexy story that stirs emotions and tantalizes the senses. Most days you'll find Kelli knee-deep in chocolate bars, coffee, and kooky characters.
When she’s not writing, chatting with readers, or plotting her next story, Kelli loves to read, listen to music, and most of all, spend time with her family. She resides in Northeast Kentucky, is the mother of four, and is happily married to her husband, James.
"Time is the one thing in life that we never get back. Live life to the fullest with no regrets. Seconds chances are rare."

Most of us have that person in our past that could have been The One if only X had happened. In our introspective moments we might even find ourselves daydreaming about the possibility of a second chance. Most of the time though, when we meet our What-If person we find they have gained 50 lbs., developed an alcohol problem and have been living in their mother’s basement since their last divorce. Not pretty.
I think this is why Only In Time appealed to me so much. It’s the fantasy-made-true of two people who botched their first attempt to come together and are given a second chance six years later. Time has changed both Jonah and Ally, but in this case, change is a good thing. As young adults with their future opportunities spread out before them, they both felt a relationship with each other would hold the other one back. But when they meet again, the both have had the opportunity to grow into the adults they are meant to be. It really is a beautiful idea.
I also love the concept of this Mystique Antiques series. The books are based on the idea that the objects sold in this one antique shop in Savannah, GA are enchanted to find their owners. In this case, Ally is gifted a watch which helps her to see the truth of her past with Jonah. The magical elements are light--not an elaborate paranormal world--which is just right for a novella length story.
Overall, I give Only In Time...
Plot - 4 1/2 bookmarks Character Development - 5 bookmarks Writing & Formatting - 4 1/2 bookmarks (The writing was well edited. There were a few odd space breaks in the formatting. Not annoying really, just several of them. I had no problem reading right through them.) Dream Cast (otherwise known as who I pictured while reading) - Kit Harrington (Jonah- mostly because I would love to see him rock a guitar), Diana Argon (Ally)
Oh, WOW! That was such a sweet, enchanting story : ) It takes a powerful author to draw you into a story, capture your love for her characters and cause you to invest emotions and deep feelings for them. Kelli does this with the absolute grace that leaves you as breathless and fulfilled as a 500 page novel would. I loved Jonah and Ally's Story. My heart jumped practically out of my chest with each chance encounter they shared because I just knew this was it, they where finally going to ease their heartache, even if it will be for a moment, a night. Ohhhhhh no, no, no. So sorry this story isn't >300 pages baby, but you still have to work for it reader. But thats the "it", Kelli doesn't just throw it out there, you will read her story at her pace. It's hers and she told it well. I can't wait to find the other stories in this series "Mystic Antiques". If this is just a taste? WHOA, think about the whole cake
Miscommunications and lack of communication separated two friends who could have had so much more. With the meddling of friends, family, and a mysterious watch, Ally and Jonah get a second chance at their love. If this story rose above the overdone "I'm not going to listen to you," "You hurt me so I'll hurt you back," pettiness, I would have really loved it. Unfortunately, it just gets a pass for me because the refusal to listen, the lack of strong communication, and the avoidance of reasonable reactions were all so predictable that I had a hard time looking past those things to the sweetness underneath. If there had been more attention paid to their sweet moments, a true reconciliation, it would have been amazing, especially in light of what Ally witnessed between Jonah and her father. The best parts were the prologue, the event with the mysterious watch, and the ending with the hints at their well-deserved happiness.
I gobbled this one down and still crave more. Ally and Jonah are born to be with each other. They just needed a bit of magic to help them along. This book is going to touch your heart.
Just to feel that connection that these 2 are going through... what a rush that is!
You want to bang there heads together to see half of what we can plainly see drawing them back to each other. The power of love is one thing but to have that extra help to put you back on the right track to your soulmate is a rush you have to experience through the eyes of Ally and Jonah.
The writing will feel like you're experiencing each scene right at the moment with them. It's a must read for believers of soulmates and that no matter what happens it's all for a reason.... time has a way!!

Wow, what can I say, I just LOVED "Only In Time" it was such a MAGICAL love story!! So real, yet so enchanting, so spellbinding, so enchanting...I adored this couple...this whole story was so touching, so achingly real! The touch of supernatural only made it that much more heart rending....I could feel my heart break, the tears, the pain, the loss of love, of what might have been...thank you for this amazing story, Ally and Jonah's story will stay with me for a very long time
The book is a good love story. The story is one of second chance romance with a touch of magic. The story has a mystical twist of an old watch that lost or gained time to the influence the outcome. The book has twists and turns for the reader.

For only being a short story I really loved it. It got right to the story line and didn't drag out. I love when there are two main characters telling the story, it seems to sound better to me. Jonah came off as just a normal guy to me, not some fake, built up one like I've read in a lot of other books.

A beautifully written second chance romance that is enjoyable, entertaining and interesting. A “magical” fast pace page turner that is a little emotional and will have you rooting for Jonah and Ally as they deal with a few ups and downs that kept them apart for six years. It is quite a compelling read! I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
This is the start of a new series by akelli and I can’t wait to get more into it. I found this a really good start with all the love and choas of her previous series. Theo is very HOTT and Casey will. To be messed with again. After their respective pasts can they find happiness?

he lied to her to protect her but it made her run. she worked hard to get a promotion but it meant going back to home. she bumped into him again and tries to keep him at arms length. things may not stay that way. the past may break the future again. see what will happen

This is a great start to what seems to be a fantastic new series. I loved the book and I am already falling in love with the characters. The story is really well written and the characters very well developed. I would highly recommend this book to all!

I liked it but there was very little time travel in it and it was really slow in places.I did like Jonah and Ally they were great characters and it was a good love story.I will be checking out the next book.
A story of second chances this is book one in the Mystique Antiques series. I bought this book back in 2015 and did not read until I received a copy through BookSprout. This is a well-written story that once I started reading I was not putting down, enjoyed reading from the first page.

I voluntarily reviewed an arc of this book. As always Kelli McCracken did not disappoint. This is an enjoyable book with a good storyline and lovely characters that held my attention from start to finish
I read this after the 2 Touched by Magic books which I really enjoyed both but this one is actually my favourite, thought it was really lovely with a perfect epilogue 😊 I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Well written short story that is heartwarming and easy to read. It is enjoyable with likeable characters that are well described and develops well. A story about finding what you once lost. Recommendable.
The plot of the book wasn't bad but the grammatical errors throughout the entire book made this extremely hard to read. Did anyone edit this book??? Wow if they did, the author needs to find a better one. Sorry for the harsh remarks but there is nothing worse than a book filled with errors.
This book is different for me. I usually don't read about time travel and romance together. Book was written in such a way that I looked for the next book in the series. I liked how the history played out between the main characters. Interesting read.
Nothing takes me out of a story like typos and errors and this was riddled with them. I counted over 100. If you're like me - you won't enjoy the story more than the errors.
This book is a second chance romance with a touch of magic that has a mystery, passion, and love. The characters are well developed. I liked reading this book.
Ally and Jonah's story is a heartwarming second chance at love...of course, the love hasn't gone anywhere, even though they went their seperate ways. All of these characters tie in to this series and also to Mystique Antiques. If you like one, you'll love them all. I received an Advanced Reader Copy of this book and am leaving my honest review.
The book is well written, interesting "magic" item to show the h the truth, but seriously? This chick is all angst because she sucks at communication and believes her alcoholic mother. ugh
