Commentary on Candrakīrti's "Madhyamakāvatāra" by the great Sakya scholar Gorampa Sönam Sengge (1429-1489). Translation from Tibetan.
[Adapted from the translators' note:] The original text was composed by Gorampa in a period of time which was crucial for the intellectual life of Tibet. The author painstakingly exposes the incompleteness of many early and contemporary interpretations of Madhyamaka Buddhist philosophy and, resorting to reference and reasoning, embarks on the delicate undertaking of presenting its authentic view. He does this on the basis of Candrakīrti's "Introduction to the Middle", employing relevant sections of that text to disprove wrong views and to establish the correct ones.
