Mining on Mercury - non-fiction, articulating low-tech, low-cost methods

Rate this book
People will tell you 'prostitution is the oldest profession.' Not so. Humans have been mining, even before they were humans. This story details low-tech methods of mining Mercury's metals, without humans on site. Passive solar would be the power source, and reflectors would be fabricated on-site - to make forges. Propelling ingots off Mercury, for use elsewhere in the solar system, would also be low-tech. This story is not like Gulliver's Lilliput, but rather based on hard science.
