Surviving a world based on a System can be a nonstop struggle, rife with battle, blood, and badassery—now imagine surviving when you are the System . . .
Parker Wu’s life was cut short after a tragic encounter with a very large truck. But when one existence ended, another far more bizarre one began. Reincarnated and transported to the Continent—a world of swords and sorcery in which an all-powerful being known as the Eternal King reigns supreme—Parker is no longer a corporeal being. It seems the Continent has other plans for the late Earthling . . .
As it turns out, Parker is now a System, a non-player entity whose purpose is to help a player succeed. Parker’s been specially created to guide and try to protect a fellow the Godkiller Jerome Smith. It’s Jerome’s fate to find, fight, and destroy the Eternal King. Soon, the pair find themselves growing stronger (if not always smarter) and gathering a few allies along the way.
But as they progress, the dangers only get more lethal, and unfortunately, Jerome’s own brash personality may be his undoing. Unless Parker can get the Godkiller to stop treating everything like a game . . .

The format of this book is very original. Props to the author for creating a cohesive narrative told entirely through status updates and dialogue boxes. I especially liked the ending, where a fight of literally god-like proportions takes place. The humour was great, and the characters were quite well fleshed out. I did think there was a bit too much dungeon-delving which wasn’t really advancing the plot, and a few complicated wordy sections that didn’t seem relevant. However, this is a solid book in all, and will definitely appeal to LitRPG readers seeking something different and innovative.
System error is an interesting book. It's truly the first time I've seen a system apocalypse book encompass the entire process, instead of being broken into 3 or more books. My compliments to the author for not dragging this one out more than necessary. It's a very well done story about how the system works. Of course, there's room for more in the series if desired, but I think it's perfectly fine just the way it is. If you like system related LitRPG stories, then you won't want to miss this one.
This is a great read! The story's pretty solid, clever, and humorous. It's also a bit different from the more common LitRPG/GameLit books where usually the system is a secondary character. The author did a great job crafting the System.
It took a bit of a while to get used to the format but it's all good. I really enjoyed reading this one! I am hoping for more.
This one was a good idea but in execution it just plods along. The format, the way information is delivered, it all just gets incredibly boring and dry. It limits your understanding of the setting in favor of an existential conflict. There is just not enough here to hold your attention.
A great standalone novel where our hero is reincarnated as the system for another reincarnater. Sent to destroy the enemy of the system, but is it their enemy, too?
This is a great read for people who enjoy Isekai or litRPG.
It's a unique concept but I just couldn't get into it. The story seemed to suffer from all the internal introspection the M.C. did. The twist at the end was short sweet and savage. Never saw it coming.
