It had a little too much technical detail, and it was difficult to go through to retain me interest. I had to read this in many multiple portions. I have a technical background, but even so, I found my mind wandering while going through this book. But then again, what do you expect? This ultimately is a book that focuses on the technical issues of intellectual property.

I can see why some people have given this book a lower rating. It took me a lot of effort to get through this book primarily because the subject matter is unappealing and I feel the author didn't describe it in an engaging way. That said, I now am a lot more well acquainted by IP after reading the book.

This one is definitely a technical read and had way more information in it than I needed to know, but I'm still glad that it was given to me and I read it. For anyone starting a business or doing anything that may require copyright or trademark issues, you should probably read at least the relevant chapters of this book that apply to what you're doing. And read them before you start doing.

I didn't need to know anything about semiconductors and trademarks that were covered, but all the copyright information was very relevant to what I'm doing. And parts of the trademark sections were relevant to future ideas I have. So in the end it was a worth the read for me and I learned more than I needed to know about some subjects, which isn't always a bad thing either.

This is one of those annoying “books” by the Rich Dad brand which is just selling whatever sticks / rehashed text book material we don’t want... vs a good book which is why we became fans of his material in the first place and instead what we DO want.

Even with some of the info being “decent” at best - with the subject of protection of intellectual property or “your number one asset” as this book would suggest - you would be crazy to think this guide is anywhere near enough to achieve your purpose - you’d almost always will want to hire a specialist on a case by case and most upto date guarantee basis ...which would make reading this small intro book a waste of time unless your completely new to the field - but even then ... why would one want to only vaguely learn anything new? As this is vague and lazy - and it’s frustrating when authors just release waffle to keep milking their followers vs working hard as with their original entertaining work which made them fun to learn from once upon a time at the beginning...

Only memorable nuggets were the real life stories / scenarios in the book - but even they were re-referenced too over and over terribly with no real structure

This book talks about copyrights, trademarks and patents - I learned absolutely nothing new from this book, that I didn't learn at school many, many, many moons ago. The title has nothing to do with the contents of this book. Stay clear unless you do want to learn (a little) about patents and patent lawyers.
